Gig was great. Had a bit of a yarn to the musicians after. The bass player (Joe Crighton, ex John Farnham bass player) was a mate of the guy who taught me to play so I introduced myself. The guitar player knew my teacher as well and both asked what he was up to these days and it was interesting to make that connection. Awesome musicians.
I read a Dr. Phil book. Sure opened my eyes and taught me a lot (just when I thought I knew everything). Lots of people shun Phil but either way you look at it, he is a world renowned psychologist and does a lot more than drop in on Opera now and then. And Shell, well you're just kind of like a godess, dropping in on us now and then. Worthless as we are, we are honoured by your continued involvement in our mortal lives. Thankyou so
I didn't actually refer to you as a crippled loser and in any case I meant emotionally crippled. You do come across as a bit of an emotionally crippled loser but that's not to say that you are one without redemption. And no, I don't usually check out guys profiles. Did you check mine? I to am seeking that special lady. One that doesn't treat me like an accessory but appreciates me for that which I have to offer. Not one that strip mines that which I have to offer but one who reciprocates all the sentiments that I have for her.
The fact that in my last relationship I was screwed over by a kniving sl#t really doesn't come into it. See Benny, you've got to get to the point where your last relationship just isn't on your mind any more. As they say, you have to love like you've never been hurt, not like a crippled loser ok!
Seriously Benny, stick around and get to know some people. Participating in the forums is the best way to do that and best of luck to ya and you're right about one thing at least, being honest has gotta be one o them virtues.
Don't be up front about the past. Why is that the first thing you bring up. Why not say "Hi I'm benny and I'm hung like a donkey and am a hell nice guy and I have lots of money" Stuff like that.
God is a generalised concept of perfection. The reason to have a god is to have a model of perfection for the comparison of ones self and others so that one can strive for perfection in ones self and recognise it in others. In reality, there is no god.
Yeah, I imagine if I was a chik reading that I would think "nar, damaged, clingy, has issues" and unless I was the messed up psycho/sociopath type and wanted to take advantage of you in your weakened emotional state, I think I'd flick to the next profile but then, I've been wrong before (shhhhhhhh)so let me know how it pans out ok?
