Funny, the mods wouldn't let me use some of the profile pics that I've modified because they don't show who I am but apparently I'm allowed to keep the one I've got now because they can't argue with the Burka !
I don't think there's a simple answer to the question. Some people know what they want, some don't. Some people are honest with them selves and others, some people aren't. Some are in denial. That's why it's hard to find someone that suits !
I'm sure that some of them are totally gorgeous and it's a crime that they are hidden from view. But more importantly, how do you like this look? Can I do this?
Imagine leaving your home country for a better life in another part of the world but dragging all the customs that made your home country unlivable, to your new home ! like, wtf?
That's certainly true in many cases but I do dread the thought that there are women that have no choice and don't want to wear it. Tell me, do you think it's the kind of thing a woman would invent for herself to wear? It doesn't seem like a natural tendancy to me, more like the kind of thing that would be imposed by the chauvanistic society of centuries past. (or not so distant)
I think that if a woman wants to wear a burka then that's fine. If she's scared to take it off through fear of devine retribution or other religous persecution then that's a bit messed up. A woman should definetly remove her burka when requested by an officer of the law. And when you get down to it I'm sure it's an invention on man and just another form of opression that needs to die out. I could be wrong.
