My five year old decided to call the police (119) today. I caught her just as she got off the phone. I asked why and she said that she just wanted to leave a message but they would not listen.

what happened when you called?
She replied," They said,"Police Emergency".
She then shouted,"Oh no, this is not an emergency".

"Then what did they say," I asked, and she said they hung up so she called back and when they answered, she shouted,"that it was not an emergency but they told her goodbye and just hung up again".

I explained why she should not just call and she understood. When asked why she called, she said she just wanted tell them to have a good day.

Lets hope you remember to tell all those who work hard to keep us safe that they are appreciated.

One night while watching the news I decided to watch a little horse racing and I watched as one rider was seconds away from the finish line and then...the horse tripped. Bummer! I have a pal who is always betting on something but never wins. He explained that he had placed a bet on this horse and was mentally counting his winnings when the horse and rider fell out of sight. I thought it was sort of funny. Another strike out but he never quits. He budgets a certain amount of cash just for this purpose.

What could drive someone to keep going? Is it really an addiction for persons who have never won and why would it be?

Have you ever been so close to finding 'the one' but something just screwed it up, something that is not in your power to control? Has anyone had this experience?

Maybe there is just one chance and if you miss out then that is it? What do you think? Hope for love, leave it alone and just have fun. Lose yourself in hobbies or pets?

I find that some people (who believe that they have found their soulmate)like to say, "Oh, don't worry, it will happen or it happens when you least expect it". Do those cliches comfort you? I have spent years trying to set up some of my single friends and some just never work while some do. Now I have come to the realisation that not everyone will find what they are looking for. Do you agree with me or do you think that there is someone for everyone?
If that is so, how do you find them,will you find them?

I have two friends who have been on and off in their relationship for over 10 years. They say that they are madly in love with each other. At what point do you give up? Or do you keep trying until the last spark goes extinct? What would you do?
