I asked him back for my money and reminded him that he invited me out. He returned my money and I never went out with him again.
I don't mind splitting the bill sometimes but I am old school. If you invite me out, please pay. If I invite you out, I'll pay. If you are broke, tell me, we can split the bill. Isn't that fair?
