I think that a blueberry beer would be something very nice to try. "Big Rock Traditional Ale" is rather local, I think. I know that you can get it in BC. It is similar to Rickard's Red, but slightly different. L.
I don't think that it is a dumb rule. I can enjoy the company and conversation of a short man. I am just looking for a tall man.
Really, honestly - given your stated preferences, I don't think that a very large, very tall woman would stand a chance with you. I don't think that you would give her the time of day. Correct me if I am wrong.
If you could "meet in the middle" somewhere - ie. Red Deer - you would attract a lot of people from Calgary and area. I live in Okotoks and I would love to travel to ie. Red Deer to meet some people from CS.
Where are all of the tall men in Canada? I am 50 years old, 6'0" tall. I am seeking the company of a tall gentleman who does not smoke. Why on "God's green earth" does he seem so hard to find? When I check out the "who has viewed me" part of this site - there are lots of men who are 5'5" to 5'8". I am a very nice lady - just rather particular about height. Any suggestions? Any tall men "hear my plea"?
Since we are on this subject - I would "die" if the man expected me to pay my part of the bill! I could pay it, I would pay it, however, as I have written previously - he would Never see me again. L.
When I go on a date, I always have my Visa and Debit cards on me. However, if a man had asked me out on a date, and he expected me to pay for my share of the bill - he would never see me again. L.
Thank you most sincerely for taking and making the time to write what you wrote. My heart is touched by the kindness of your words. When I read what you wrote - tears came to my eyes. "That" has not happened in a long time!
I truly believe that it is important every day to think about those things for which we are thankful. Today - I was really feeling overwhelmed with the amount of leaves that I have to clean up on my property. Rose - I was feeling at "my whits end" about these stupid leaves. Then, of course, I was reminded that I am blessed to own a house - the yard of which produces all of these leaves.
Thank you once again, Rose, for taking the time out of your day, to write your message.
I would be a lioness. Strong, confident, self-reliant, nurturing, yet independent. It just so happens that I was born under the sign of Leo the Lion. My father's name was Leo. Three of my four siblings were born under the same sign.
Please don't leave us. If you do, that will just be one more intelligent person from Western Canada who has left the site. I for one, really enjoy your input.
If I could afford the airfare (which I can't at present), I would attend the social gathering in Ontario in early November. I think it would be "a blast" to meet in person, the people that we chat with on CS.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. I don't know how you could give yourself the "handle" of "Old Bag". You are a very pretty lady and you seem to be a lovely woman.
I make a point of telling someone if I have come to have feelings for them. It is really an honest and positive thing to do.
As a general statement, sharing the positive feelings that you have for another is a good thing to make the time to do. There is no point in waiting for someone's funeral to say the good things that you thought about them. It doesn't do them any good then. L.
I have often heard it said that things happen for a reason. For those of you who say that, what is the source of the reason? Is it God, the nature of things, human nature? L.
What a beautiful name. Thank you for introducing yourself.
I think that if every day we think of or remind ourselves about the things for which we are thankful, we will remain more positive, happy and content with our state of being.
I think that as we age, mature and learn from our experiences, we tend to think much more before we act. Note that the foregoing comment is written by someone who has made a lot of mistakes. L.
If I knew that things were over or I was not interested enough to continue to pursue the relationship, I would have a discussion with the man and explain my reasoning. I would then say "goodbye". L.
Thank you for helping me to laugh at myself. I still recommend the gentle kiss on the back of a woman's hand. Spiderman - you will get a date and the kiss will work. Trust me. Lorraine.
I admire the way some divorced parents can deal with their former spouses. My former husband tried to have that sort of a relationship with me. I tried - but we failed. My daughter suffered because of it. L.
