Next week is Maths Week and some people need extra assistance with mental arithmetic in their day to day lives.
Sadly only 10% of people will leave school with a good level of mathematical knowledge, 80% of people will be considered average whilst the remaining 25% will be considered too stupid for words!
I said 'other' because they are different genres and my taste is wildy varied.
I love Grisham, and Jeffrey Deaver. But when I'm in the mood Rowling's books are my cup of tea too. I also have a lot of Terry Pratchett, EE Doc Smith and Terry Brooks - An eclectic mix of fantasy, kid's, humour and lega/thriller/detective
It all depends on what's causing the 'bad day'. Some things I can shrug off easily. Others require the loud music and work hard approach, whilst sometimes I DO catch myself staring glumly into mid distance... NEVER do I feelt he need to 'drown my sorrows'.
I know too, that I finction better as part of a couple, and for me 'she' is very often the thing that gets me up and running again...
I'm not exactly looking right now, but I personally see it as a medium to increase my chances of finding someone, at least.
I'm not particularly good at the initial face to face thing. Asking a girl out. I have never propositioned a girl in a bar in my life. I can get laughed at elsewhere - you know?
My attributes are more mental and spiritual than physical, so I tend to get overlooked 'out there'. Here, people get to see aspects of me that they'd not bother finding out about otherwise.
I would like to think that, due to the nature of this medium, people find me attractive on the INSIDE, thus helping remove those awkward 'first' moments that I am, quite frankly, crap at!
At WORST, I have made a couple of true friends on this site and have been supported and cheered up by many others.
So for me, if I wre looking, I would see this site as a positive thing.
