I'm guessing, but I would assume that it would be relatively easy to love someone, if you are already in a committed relationship, and a physical disablility occurs. Much more challenging would be for the person who already has the disability, to initiate a new relationship, where that issue is first and foremost.
COP 15 was a Cop-Out....we're in a recession. Goverments don't have discretionary cash to play with. In the larger paradigm, national selfishness and self-interest won out over international mutual and communal responsibility.
Oh absolutely, it will always be a dog-eat-dog world. Survival of the fittest, wether it be in the boardroom, on the sports field, or in the jungle, life is about competition. Eat or be eaten.
