Uhuh, instead of mandating more emission controls w/higher utility bills, IMO, scrap the bag houses and other Best Available Control Technologies, lower stack heights, and mandate utilities install A/C in everyone's home to use when there is an alert for poor ambient air quality?

This alternative could be a heck of a lot cheaper and everyone benefits, especially if the utilities give homeowners energy credits for A/C use.

I find it hard to believe China fears the USA; especially after traitor slick willie clinton sold us out to the them, giving them all our top secrect technologies while he was prez. What a fart blowing in the wind he was.

OMG that is too funny. We actually used to hold annual Visible Emission schools to train and certify people in CFR Method-9 to read stack emission opacity in the field. We would use a transmissometer to detect levels of incompletely combusted fuels to create light and dark smoke; using toluene and benzene (later determine to be carcinogenic)

Dude, I'm jest trying to pull your chain a little. I worked for the EPA for 33-yrs in air pollution control and one of the reasons I retired 4-years ago is because my passion for real ambient environmental science and belief in USEPA's mission and goals expired when it got away from protecting health and the environment to focus on false science like global warming.

That's true Green because we're talking about particulate matter of 2.5 micrograms per cubic meter which is very harmful to our upper respiratory systems. Dose exposure and duration all adds up dude.
