RE: my heart breaks alone

Yep, a wounded zebra... take time to heal.

RE: tattoos

Eek Hot, your ex's name huh.. I don't have a tatoo, but I know they sell special kind of makeup that can cover it up if you can't afford to "erase" the tatoo surgically. I'm not sure what it's called, but I saw an advertisement on TV, etc... do a search, you can probably find what I'm talking about if it's the same makeup, or a different brand.. did one quick.. first one that came up:

RE: MOTORCYCLES and other RISKY ACTIVITIES

Well, I agree with you to an extent, and also with Ad... Most accidents can happen right in your own home... but on the flip side, I rode on a back of a motorcyle for 2 hours with some guy I knew a long time ago who just found it absolutely hysterically funny driving 90 mph from PA to NJ knowing that I must've been peeing my pants also probably quite enjoying the fact that I was grabbing and squeezing every part of his body that I could grab hold of for dear life, before the wind rips away my hands again.

RE: If You say A Prayer?

Sharon, you truly have a gift. And I feel it not only comes from your heart, but also from above. To an angel on earth.. thank you for sharing your gift.

Going away for the weekend

Thanks! Glad to be back (and alive)!

Going away for the weekend

Thanks Lion,
I have Homeowners insurance so I've been saving all the receipts, etc for the chimney inspection and the new electronics I had to buy, but unfortunately, I tossed most of the receipts for the stuff that had broke down, so I don't know how much they will reimburse me. Even with the Insurance co, I'm talking to a machine..! "Where have all the people gone" <--(sing to the tune of "Where have all the flowers gone)

Going away for the weekend

Thanks Sharon.. keeping fingers crossed, you never know. Most likely I'll have my nose in a book, sitting by the pool. (doesn't look very "approachable"), but I like to read. And the only time I get a chance to actually read a book (beside's Dr. Seuss, etc.) is rare. So I'll be pretty much taking advantage of the relaxation more so than the hope of meeting someone. Now finding someone to sit next to on the ski lift is a different story!

Going away for the weekend

My ex has my kid this coming up weekend so I figured to heck with it.. instead of sitting here feeling sorry for myself.. I decided to book a room in PA at one of my most favorite hotels that's georgeous. They have a huge indoor swimming pool under a "Greenhouse" type of reception area with real palm trees growing, etc so it looks like the tropics but in PA. Will do some skiing, etc. So, wish you all the best while I'm gone and hope everyone has a good weekend.

Love,
Ann

RE: what to do when a married woman trys to steal your boyfriend

Yeah it does sound like she's stalking, doesn't it? Reason being she's not only bothering this couple, but she's married to another guy! How wierd is that? And noo, not just restricted to the guys... Ever heard of Betty Broderick? That couple she terrorized also tried to "ignore" her thinking she would just give up after a while, that is before she shot them to death.

RE: question...

Never believed in the term "opposites attract" In my own experience.. they DON'T LOL! So it's good to find someone in common.

RE: dominoes20 needs a woman

Dominoes... I think you may have to kinda put Tall on hold for now.. ok? I think she's "taken" and that's the reason why she's not sending you a "purdy" flower... alsooo, it might hurt yr chances of finding someone "else" to send ya one cause you keep on talking about Tall so much and they're reading yr posts about her, ya know what I mean..? :) I would'nt worry so much about making Tall jealous, but making another "Tall Brunette" jealous... Soooo, suggestion, and just a suggestion.. do a "search"... there's probably LOTS of "Tall brunettes" here.. giggle.. and send them some purdy flowers yourself!

Guarantee, in time.. you'll get a response!!

Ann

RE: what to do when a married woman trys to steal your boyfriend

Well, first I would suggest to change your phone number to an "unpublished" number.. (NOT UNLISTED) but unpublished. At least that will give the both of you some peace. It doesn't appear in the yellow pages or even a telephone operator/information assistant can't access it (they CAN with an "unlisted" number, she could always call saying it's an emergency, and the operator would then call requesting you to take the call.. but an UNPUBLISHED number, they can't do that, cause THEY don't even have a record of it.) Then block her email address so she can't email.. using the block feature within yr ISP. She might change her email address if she can't get thru with her old one, so you might even have to change your email addresses as well. If she finds out your new ones, you can file a "No Contact" order against her. Print out all the emails, etc she has sent showing her instablity then take it to your local police station to use as proof. I know it's a hassle.. you'll have to change all yr records w/billings letting co's know what yr new info is, etc.. and tell family and friends what your new number/email is... but if she's unstable, believe me, it's worth it.

If she lives closeby, that's even worse.. if you do what's above, it may even instigate her to start coming around where you live.. in that case you might have to file a Restraining Order.. If she violates that or even a "No Contact" order, she can go to jail. Maybe then it will sink in that she has to leave the both of you alone.

I'm sorry for the both of you that you have to go thru this.. some people are just not right in the head. But you might have to what's above just to be better safe than sorry. And the reason why I'm going so much into detail about this is because I've read and heard too many horror stories about situations like this that can turn out so horrible (if you know what I mean) both in the paper and on the news.. You don't want to end up another statistic. So please, don't just think if you ignore it, it'll go away.. it probably won't.. so you might have to take legal action against her.

Hope it works out, prayers for the both of you.
Love,
Ann

RE: Look at yourself in a mirror ..........

I'm too motherly.. I get a lot of "yes mom" s

RE: Hi All!

Sort of new here myself... you can make great friends here.. welcome!

RE: no one writes back

Adding on: I can see it's not polite.. Even if I don't have any bad intention, etc... so I am going to try to make an effort on my part to answer from now on..

RE: no one writes back

I have to admit, I'm pretty bad with that... not because I don't mean to to not write back intentionally... it's because I get distracted with a lot with things going on, my kid asking questions or needing something, phone constantly ringing with friends calling, neighbor's kid coming over.. so sometimes I have to stop what I'm doing, get whatever else needs to get done, and by the time I get a chance to come back to this site.. sometimes I get "wrapped up" on the boards and don't check my email, etc regularly... it's not only on here... but even my REGULAR email... right now my "Inbox" w/reg email has 135 unopened emails... most of it is junk mail....

So, I wouldn't take it too personally, really... It could also be that the person might be out of town or hasn't had a chance to sign on as much...

RE: Has anyone noticed.........

awww... u sweet guy u.. still feel a little funny about it though.. Lion and Wave along w/others made me feel better.

RE: Has anyone noticed.........

With mine? I know some kind of glitch they are working on here with posts... so if it's mine.. I'm resending:

Giggle..Boy oh Boy! do you have a CRUSH on Tall!!!! But unfortunately I read somewhere in one of the posts here that I think she's taken... but what the heck, why not?

Send her a flower too along with the email explaining the problem with posts you might've had that chopped, garbled... whatever... When I emailed her, she told me that she's aware of it and they're working on it.

Tips on how to survive the Valentine's Day blues (for females mostly)

Hmm, as for guys... I don't know how I can relate... being a woman, I know how WE feel about it.. sooo just to make you feel a little better.. look in yr "Flower" box...

(Hope it makes you feel a little better)

RE: Toys

"Lincoln Logs" are still around, believe me.. had my share of cut up feet by stepping on them cleaning my kids room... If you have kids, then you probably know, if you don't yet... you will find out that maybe you won't miss them as much after bandaging your foot...! Same goes for those "Lite Brite" pegs!

RE: hee hee

I make noises.. (learned to muffle though).. giggle... got a kid that I don't want to overhear. And only candle light.

RE: Does Location matter?

A thread like this was posted before, but it's good that it's brought back to the "top" every once in a while... If you're looking for a SERIOUS relationship, it's difficult when it comes to some of us that share joint custody w/ex's with young kids and find problems with moving out of state. Nothing is impossible, but what it boils down to if it turns serious, one of you may have to move.

RE: Has anyone noticed.........

A couple of days ago I posted a thread and a post that got "chopped" in the middle...then duplicated. Emailed Tall, they're working on it, she fixed it. Just a glitch I guess... Having a share of my own "glitches" and problems with my own computer, felt like throwing the damn thing out the window a couple of times myself! Reformatted the stupid thing a least 12x already!

RE: YOU KNOW YOU ARE LIVING IN 2006 when...
