RE: Tonight I am an Arab.

We supply them weapons ,this is true.We loan then a couple of billion each year. We need thenm to be are allies in the middle East as we need Isarel. That money is not given without cause, We have acessess to the suez canal thought them.We need them as mid East allies. We lose either way as supporting the protesters and obliging to support their leader. We have been there allies and then to us. Pres, Carter, I believe, made history for the firt Peace treaty between the middle east of Isarel and the palistinans , but as soon that leader dies, they then have another pres. After that as to them signing, yet another fall out and so it goes. This is huge a serious. We already have 20,000 troops there and I just hope obama has no idea what to do or practice what he preaches of democracy and peace. This Eygitian pres.will not step down and obama has to be professional with a great desicion to be made. This is the fisrt time ever that a country shut down all cell phones and internet. People were taking pictues through a cell phone and that has been because wittnesses are sending pictures and reports to from and Obama doesn not know what to do. He's on both sides of that fence. This so much important to us as it could stop us and we would lose the most important contry, as our allies.
The US can help but it could be an awful disaster, and who kows what he did was right? In fact he was faster on an interview but did not know the whereabouts to the survivors and went back home. I mentioned he had a meeting behind closed doors with a muslim and we have no idea what he bargained for, secretly. After all I think The Muslim world has more attachments fron us then we do.But obama is Muslim. Katirna, is not finished, or helped and all donated money has not been dispersed. It is still being held back by the government. So in his whole term,he never jumps for our problems and believes what the president is doing and can not take sides, with Eygypt. We might lose either way and have another war we care meddling in for petroleum and favors for a control. This is big, with bigger consequences..

RE: Tonight I am an Arab.

Canada is ruled by England, simply put, they are our allies. United Nations, a country asks for help and a country allies respond.

RE: Tonight I am an Arab.

You are so right. It is 2 billion a year and I hope Obama does not decide to get our troops involved. He is walking a very thin tight rope with this country.wow It is a very big situation that is not going to go away. The president of eygpt will not back down. Cell phones are back on and internet is not at this time. Thinking of the people on this site that are from and/or living, working in Eygypt, especially in Cairo. Prayers and thoughts for their safety.

RE: Sarah Palin

Palin has been sked that question many times and she has never given anyone a direct answer. She states her family comes first and 2 years is a long way off and she does not give you a clue ever.

I am so tired of the discussions of teapartiers, republicans, democrats, right wingers, left wingers.... Anyone can claim what party to be of, but when it comes right down to it, when you vote it could be for any one and no one knows who you voted for. Many probably vote against their party. Just because you state what party you are does not tell who you will actually vote for. They do try to take polls as to guess who will win, but still you stating your party does not garuantee that your vote alighns with a party and who you ACTUALLY vote for.

RE: President Obama presses Chinese President Hu

That was just a presented issue as how they bring up their children. There youngest generation far exeeds ours, intellectually. We are about the only country that has just one unniversal language and that is a disgrace when you know other countries teach their children two or three. They have a greater population and we are far behind as in educating our children and children are our future.I did not catch that at the olympics, but I do know the children who volunteered to be greeters had to know & speak the languge of each country involed. My two children went to college. Each of them do not practice their college Majors, but work in a differant area. There are no jobs here that many do not get to work in the field they wanted and studied for. It's all backwards here. Most country's children have to serve their country after high school, then go on to further education. Did my kids learn what you can learn in China, no. They both have college loans that they will pay back most of their lives. That is a dawn to dusk job for them as they work and try to keep up with expences and their children, and pay back loans or our country attaches your wages. 24/7. That is our rights in eduacation? There is none. So why do so many go overseas to college? Just saying. China has the most child prodigy's.

RE: President Obama presses Chinese President Hu

I wonder if this includes how they push their children from the time they walk to become so ecucated and talented in dance , music and most of their children speek 3 languages taught from the time they started. > Quality of rights and higher incomes and better living conditions can only be produced by the maximam education from dawn to dusk, daily, they demand from the youngest generations.

RE: President Obama presses Chinese President Hu

Just joking, Bub, You have to quit watching and listening to the news for a while. Dare you, 3 days, bet you can't do it.

Sarah's tv program was her last one Sunday and they put bits and pieces together of all of them. Instead of remarking on her all the time, people should have appreciated the showing of that beautiful state. It was an extra special show that showed her true personalty and showing her families and Alaska. Wish I could shoot a rifle like that, I'd be on the ground I think if I did..
Always wanted to go skeet shooting. That was funny when Bristol did not want to shoot, and she said to her mother ,laughing, just go take your prom hair home. Something my daughter might have said to me when she was still home.thumbs up Final show was great.... and beautiful Alaska.wave

RE: President Obama presses Chinese President Hu

I heard that Obama took the Chinese President to the oval office and asked if he could borrow the money to pay for the Formal Dinner, about to be seved that night.laugh

That one's for you ,John

RE: Why O` Bummer has Failed...

Just a note. Today they said that in ratings by the people President Kennnedy was #1, then Pres. Clinton, Then Reagan. Obama's rating went up after that speech at that memorial service to 58 percent.

RE: Would you be willing to move if you where in love?

I'm with you. Be willing to move and would want to, but it cannot be that easy and just the cost? How do you move all your things or are you supposed to leave everything behind. If it's a great move, he would have to have money to take care of all these expenses. Most people I know who move across the nation , end up back here. This area is a low cost of living area and they all come back. Like GingerBe, you still have to give up family and traditions and sometimes gradchildren. You never have another chance watching you kids and grandchildren grow again in your life. It would be a huge transition and has to be very costly , and what if after a few months you are not happy and your in a strange area, or he or she loses interest in you ? I understand your answer, GingerBe. Holly wave

RE: President Obama presses Chinese President Hu

CNN is the only station that has first acces from the goverment on any news.
Last night I just caught Anderson Cooper on what someone had said or did about Tuscon? or referring to a person about it? He was so much out of his character and that was the first time I have ever seen him reply boldy , loudly and be so serious. maybe it was about a comment on the people who were blaming the shootings on politics?
He thought this person was a digrace etc. and then said "That is my opinon and I felt I needed to respond to it". They went right to a commercial but never have I seen Cooper be so demonstrative. Does any one know who he was talkiing about or saw it? Anderson Cooper 360 CNN . Tueday evening news.

RE: Can't sleep!

If you sleep a couple hours and then wake up that is usually due to drinking coffee in the evening. If you wake up turn the clock so you cannot see it or as you said you will always be checking the time.Read before you go to sleep. Listen to a talking tape or audio book. The monotonous voice usually puts you to sleep or the television, pick a program where there is not too loud of interrupting comercials or louder noise. Don't have any caffeine in the evening ,Pop , chocolate, coffee, seriously you can be addicted to caffene and it is a not good for your compexltion or skin.Best thing I ever did was to quit drinking pop, coffee, with caffene in it and chocolate. Just alone all the sugar in these things can cause a chemical inbalance, where then you can have mood swings or not sleep at all. Just my suggestions. Good Luck and sweet dreams.yawn sleep Holly

RE: What is you most favorite book & why?

Stinking creek-- This book is about the people who live in the applaichian mountains. It tells of their poverty and how they live. It seems like a third world country and they still have out houses and small one room houses. It is an unbelievable account how people like this still live in this manner, in this country

When Trupets Flare. A cival war short story of a WWII troop that were sent to take oover hundreds of Germans while being only a dozen men. Unreal and sad, as the way of their official orders to do the impossible.

wow

RE: WHAT WILL YOU DO WHEN YOUR PARENTS TOTALLY DISAGREED YOUR WISH TO MARRY YOUR LOVED ONE?

They did and we eloped. Maybe they could not afford a wedding and were coming up with all kinds of excuses. To tell you the truth, I think my mother was objecting because she was losing a housekeeper, ME She was losing a babysitter for my younger brother, ME.

It did not work out, but that was because they were always over and would not leave us alone or kept telling us what to do about anything. My Dad yelled because we bought a GE refrigerator and they were no good and did not last. I still have that refrigertor, it is older than my son and it out lasted my dad. Sorry ,Dad.

RE: do you find it difficult to multitask people

There was a test done nationally and the findings were that women can multi task more and better than men. We actually do,if we work ,go home, supper, clean up , help the kids and wash some clothes and then go to bed to start all over again.
If you are talking about these people you meet on line, Just get a notebook, and write their name and where they're from and a subject that you like or have in common. It should be easier that way. If you you quit emailing draw a line thru their name because some people will write back but are too busy, if that is what you are asking. I have a small note book and I have a section of people with their web addresss'. A section on special sites that I find and want to look into, another just for my kids address', etc. I usually go on craig's list and browse around or shopping networks or browse an interesting topic. I write those web address' down, I might go back to them. Some I see on tv and if its on something I want to look into I write it down to add to my book.I know most people file all this in their computer but I do not like to crowd my computor space and looking it up in a small note book is easier for me. Just a suggestion and Good Luck and Best Wishes, Holly dunno handshake wave

RE: Favorite Sitcoms

My brother and his wife would come over every Sat. night to watch SNL. We always drank Boon's Farm wine, 99 cents a bottle. We would laugh so hard and my brother looked just like Father Guido Sarducci, and drunk, he would talk just like him. I loved Gilda Radhner and Roseanna Danna. Those were the great tv years. For my kids, Happy Days and Fonzie was their hero. My son was always pretending to be him, and my daughter was the little sister. Ron Howard, what a great and talented man.

RE: Should This Be Surprising ???

In the early 1900's a man was sentenced to life in alcaltraz for hitting a cop. Solitary confinenement, Because they closed it down, He was dismissed on all charges after spending most of his life there. True story but Times they are 'a changing.

RE: Kids...

Know how you feel. I gave all my time to my kids. They grow in a blink of an eye. Then they are gone, college and marriage and you are left not #1 in their life anymore. Appreciate them now and try to get out once a week just for yoursef.I think the worst years are when the have to be taken every where., Music lessons , soccer, girl and boy scouts and all you do is run around for them. Babies do nothing and you just have maintenance duty. I was not found of the baby phase. I should have gone back to work. Some women love to stay home and nuture, others go right back to work.Staying at home was just depressing for me. I would not change a moment with them.Well maybe a few. Even so, if you are not happy they will not be happy. Not everyone has a motherly instinct. I did, but would rather have gone back to work. Keep hanging on and all you can do is your best. Take that me day and pay a babysitter maybe once a week. It is hard.It gets better. Best wishes , Holly

RE: Anyone do hand drawn art?

Isn't that the truth? I like to draw in pen and ink.
I also love books and read but the books keep mounting and you keep keeping them all the while knowing you cannot possibly read all those books in your lifetime. But just one more you'll buy. It's probablty an addiction. But Books, so much and many to read or learn from.

RE: Where is Sarah Palin?

To JV Sorry, she had a black suit on. The studio is in her house so CNN came to her. What if she had not made a statement ? Then you would find fault with that. She spoke only because someone ignored the whole Monstrausity, without sympathy for any injured or killed in the sad event and in a second put the blame on Palin. She spoke out right off to denounce rumors before ingnorant peoples contiued to spin more obnoxious tales against any other persons. That's all. Now focus on the actual happening and show some reverance for those it effected, yes , they are human beings, and yes as I said before, We the people showed the world that we will always look out for each other and help and give and be proud of that. We the people took that man down. We the people have admiration for all who were heros that day and saved lives. We the people pulled together once again, without politics or stopping to think to blame, critisize or judge anyone. Again, WE the people always know when to STOP and prove we are a great country aside from dissagreements and personal opinions on our democracy . That in itself is all the comments should be of. We the People, have and always will pull through if need be to help a fellow American. We are the people of The USA.
