RE: Why 911 was staged, from a sociological psychological point

To AustinWein: People can come up with so many differant views and opinions and judgements for that terrible day. If you were not there, what right does anyone have to analyze the diferrent situations on all levals. The stories are made up or not, but it still remains a fact: Truth is stranger than fiction, But focus on that somber day with respest for those who lived it.wave: handshake Holly

RE: Why 911 was staged, from a sociological psychological point

It's man stupidity in the 50's. Smoking was a sign of sophistication and really that generation had lived as not knowing the harm of it. After all Times were looking up. They had just come back from a Won War. Yes, our government knew threats were made and something would or could happen, but they thought on the level as the bombing of the Twin Towers parking garage, beneath, a few years before. No one knew or could predict this mass destruction.Even Bin Lauden was laughing and said he did not think the towers would fall. All that came to the scene, in all the camotion, did not think the towers would fall.I know firemen here , who thought in minutes, from afar and not part of it,knew that logically with the mass fuel in th planes, that the Towers would fall. But they were not on the site and could think clearly more than if the fireman on site. The first response of firemen is to act, and fast. You might not agree, but we should think and be glad the government does not tell us somethings and just trust and maybe this same govermnment protects us fron Top Secret information ,or we would all panic. Not knowing is not a bad thing. We are secretly protected to a certain degree of ability,or we would all live in fear, daily. That is what this enemy wants. They speak of how awfull it is to live in the US. Duping their own people as in WWII.

I, myself was in, on a lower level, the hands of police decisions and wrong doings in a cival matter, which they are not allowed to participate in,but there is no law here. Many times this happens and people trade money with lawyers and the little man loses. If you can afford $1,000.00 down and $300. @ hour, you can sue. People have sued this city and the city settled out of court. This is a horrible thing to have to face. It's a sad truth. Now do I tell my little Grandchildren they can not trust policeman?? Things happen and history repeats itself, and with every generation, better intelligence is active. But thank God we are not disclosed everything, because with this internet, top secrets could be passed along. We are protected to that degree. CNN does cut out info, from other countries for that reason. Be glad and to some extent we have to trust that they are doing the best for our security.Have a little faith.I was personally wronged in a court battle. . I still believe in, that good will prevail as to the best I can, still being a victim and wronged. You can hash this out over and over, but at night you have to know we can sleep at night and others are in charge of our peace. Holly

RE: Nick Names

I just passed under a buckeye tree yesterday.

Holly is my nickname. I was born on Christmas . My dad wanted to name me Christmas, but my mom won out and I have a formal christian name. Never use though.

RE: I know...spelling and grammar doesn´t mean much here...

Makes you feel like your parents, huh? My dad hated answering machines and all is messages said "pick up, I know you are there", and get mad at us. We we not there. Just wasn't ready for new technology. We sure couldn't teach are kids the New Math when it was first started.I always misdial my cell because I miss the numbers let alone texting doh wave

RE: I know...spelling and grammar doesn´t mean much here...

I agree. My ex husband was a teacher and I was below him and then he would start on the kids if they recieved a B on their report card.Just opposite of what you went through. I believe unconditional love takes care of those problems you mnetioned, as I was taught that by my late partner. I miss those conversations as you do.Overlooking the small stuff is so important, but in my case the kids were being affected. Going back to conversations , my late Aunt would tell all new brides in the family, It takes "communication" for a good marriage. She and my uncle would sit on the front porch all night and talked. They had a very happy marriage. He would walk some 15 miles to her mothers house if they had a date. That was before WWII. Or they could walk downtown and see a movie flick and spend a nickle each to see it!!! That must have been a good time in tht era. Good luck to you and don't let anyone hold you back . My cousn was born paralysed from the waste down . They told her mother she wouldn't make it over two weeks my ccousin pursevered and now her daughter is 42 and has a degree and is a psycologist, so in her and your case miracles do happen.Best wishes and God bless. RE: I know...spelling and grammar doesn´t mean much here...

Me too, all that writing and after you correct it , the thread is over or I accidently pass the mouse over and it deletes the whole page. We are the smart ones?? Nah! Think not.doh

RE: I know...spelling and grammar doesn´t mean much here...

I agree with you 100%. You can tell a lot about a person in their writing, even scammers. I recieved a concussion a few years ago and since, I transpose numbers and letters. I have to go over everything as I need to write perfect. I do know, sometimes in transition some words or letters are left out and skipped when you post. Some computors have scanners that do this and highlight grammer and mistakes. Some are just typos, but I really think it's not always our typos. You spelled regonize wrong and I belive you would have caught that in your profession. Blame it on the transition. I seriously think you can judge a man or any one by their grammer and writing maybe it is how we well were taught or not. Great thread, though. I always see the mistakes, but that's me and most men do not like to type, claim it's their large hands.handshakeGlad somebody brought it up. dunno wave

RE: Social Network

Can't wait to see the movie. It was made by two young kids who thought up the idea of Facebook, A site they thought would just be for the teens and older, to socialize. Never did they think it would come to what it is now. They did want to send out the message of the dangers of social internetting. I think that's what the movie is about. Asked if they were on Facebook? they said "never or would be." Maybe They are under 20, I really don't remember that in the interview. wave

I've been off of work for a while because of a car accident. You then realize that from t.v. you can actually learn how to kill somebody and not get caught on most any channels 24 hrs a day. Maybe????

RE: Lessons to learn from the movies.

Will Smith surely knows how to make money, but he is so humble about it. His son was on Oprah and she asked him if his parents, being famous ever embarrasses him. He answered "every day".She also asked him about his first kiss in that movie and he was so serious and said "well I'm a pretty good kisser!". Thanks for sharing. Just love that kid and the "Pursuit of Happiness when he was 5 and played in it with is Father." thumbs up wave Holly

RE: Is the Holy Land ,..Holy?

The Holy Land comes from The Bible and declares we are to take care of the Jewish nation. Palistine was a city of Isarel. They decide to take it over as a country and wanted to own the Gaza stip which is the center of shipping oil in or out. Isarel took heart to that and the rest is History. Altough the Bible states the end of the world will begin with a Holy War. That was about 40 or 50 years ago. Conrad had stated that what the palistinians did cause their own problems and had other choices so they created their future.

What would we do if one state tried to seperate from the US? Probably a cival war as from the rest of the country and we would be under the same circumstances. The Holy War is to last 100 years to the end of the world. Historians are guessing 2034 will be the date for that, give or take a few years. Holy war is called that because it is sacred ground as where jesus walked and he was a jew. The first chuch to some, was built their, thus: Holy War. Correct me if I am wrong but took a class in college and this was diccused years ago. Before the end of the world we are to expect Floods, Famine Hurricanes unexplainable tramatic events in the world and evilness of people.
Read the news and this is beginning to happen.
I am no religious fanatic, but the last chapter of the Bible is pretty scary and tells of these same happenings at the end of the world. I practice no one religion, per say, Do I beleve it?. One has to think, though. Holly

RE: Home left to burn due to unpaid tax

Here all fireman are paramedics. Usually if you call 911 an ambulance always goes out with the fire truck, and I understand the tax payers pay a certain amount of money every time that truck goes out on a call. After any truck goes out it has to be cleaned and washed and checked over as it was when it left and that charge is enormous. Is it neccessary? Not sure. Where does that money go?

In the movie, Pursuit of Happiness, Will Smith states that in our country, in the Constitution we have life ,liberty and the pursuit of hppiness. Meaning it's not guaranteed, you have to pursue happiness if you don't happiness is not free. dunno sigh Hollydunno

RE: Home left to burn due to unpaid tax

Here, they left a home burn down to the ground. The city fire dept. was there but, had to wait for the Township Volunteer Fire dept. Since the house sat in the city and in the Township but the Towship was ordered to be on call, by some Law. The city fire dept. and owners of the house watched and waited ,but the Volunteer Fire Dept. did not make in time. Nothing in this country really makes sense any moore. Hollydunno wave

I like a beard on a man and gray hair or salt and pepper. The beard if it is kept neat and is better for when kissing as the women's face does not get all irritated or scracted by hair stubble.Beards are usually soft. "A man crowned with gray hair

That could take a really long time, with the snow thing if it's anything like last year? We have a lot of great and notorious people from Ohio. Sports are something to be of interest.
