One More Actor

One more actor
on the stage
to play their part
in the drama of
LIFE

One more role
one opportunity
so we play
as best we can
LIFE

That character
the real you
win, lose or even
stand or fall
LIFE

Seize the moment
recognise the opportunity
be kind
be careful
LIFE

Are You Asking?

Memory
Are you asking
What choices
I would make

How to start
As each morning
Early rise
Or sleeping late

Memory
You've seen it
Recorded data bank
Are you satisfied

So I heard you
Ask of changes
Would I undo
To renew

Change of lovers
That would be it
Past for
Present true

Trade the winds
Of my former
And my love
I would choose you

Warm and gentle
Like the breezes
Flow at summer
On the beach

Hold and kiss
Passion flower
As the soothing
Waters flow.

Inner Springs

Should we thirst
for inner springs
rising up in the soul
surprising us
with strange fullfillment
more than temporal
fountains give
doorway to new dimension
untouched world
where angels move
drink the wine
of life forever
taste the nectar
of love so sweet
find the mercy
when in trouble
all rejection
there is banished
full acceptance
opens here
woman at the well
she found these
springs of living
water too
deep inside our soul
at some point
in our journey
we may develop
thirst this age
cannot yet quench
broken wells
and broken people
need more than
this world can give

Lips

Lips that hold honey
lips that hold softness
doorway to passionate
intimate embrace

Sweetest of lover's kiss
starting with puppy love
going much deeper
hand into glove

Deeper the kisses
more sweet the moment
passion bursts open
as heavy cloud bursts

Night Sunshine

There is sunshine
in the night
there is warmth
in the cold
when you have
someone to hold

When she smiles
with her eyes
lighting up her face
shades seamless lace

Breathes life into
souls left blue
love after rain
kiss you again

Passion burn bright
day and night
capture the hearts
of lonely people
flame burn on
fervent and strong
touching your heart
with hope once more

Nature Teach Me Silent Ways

Words beget words
speech wants to talk
everyone's talking today
voices raised
voices whisper
conversations all around

While it's the normal
while it's the proper
communications
we all need to share
open speaking or
just a silent prayer

Say less
think more
covet silence
it's a strength

Less damage
we can do
silence i look to you

Like a stream
that runs silently
like a river
the same way
like the butterfly
on a flower lie
nature teach
me silent ways

SOS

Ships are like people
sailing life's ocean
battling the elements
day by day

Crossing smooth
crossing rough
sometimes weak
sometimes tough
overwhelmed by it all
life more than a squall

Can we spot
the SOS people send?
Can we see
the rockets
hit the air,
sail close by them
reach a hand out
save our soul

Life's Sea

When sailing on the ocean
One can term the sea of life
Calm waters soothe my vessel
Sea breezes softly blow
But when storms rise
Lifting waves up high
Storms touching me
Buffeted, blown
Driven off my course
Damaged by wind and rain
Where our way is lost
Lighthouse near the shore
Seen you there before
Shine your light to see
Keep me from the rocks
Where on tempest tossed
And hope sometimes lost
Let your light shine
In that midnight hour
When our lives are struggling
With issues deep and diverse
Holding to a fraying rope
Til the troubles past
For the wind must ease
And the rain of life must end
Cannot rain forever
Theres a rainbow somewhere near
Till the morning come
We pick up once again
As we journey on the sea.

Flame of Kindness

Let us show esteem to each other
Let us celebrate the life
Let us value people that we meet
As we pass this way but once

May we share a word softly spoken
And encourage those who pass by
Let our lives touch each tenderly
As we pass this way but once

May we help and not hinder
Let friendship be without cost
Since they tolerate and dismiss
Let us not be a part of this

Do then good to somebody
Kindness and compassion leave
Should you ever once feel cold
Find this flame nearby for you

Falling Tears

Tears are falling like the summer rain
Another break up, another dose of pain
Two lovers once they were but not today
Her day was blue but now its grey
Whatever happened she cannot tell
She never saw it coming, never heard the bell

But for many of us the same we knew
Something coming out of the blue
And it's true what they say, just give it time
And the painful memories will slowly fade
Then one day you'll feel once more
When the circle of love will knock at your door

Hands of Time

Turning back the hands
of the clock called time
to days that lie behind
where on the memories shine

Only yesterday
sitting on the sand
together on the beach
hand holding hand

Love was like the wave
that swept across the sand
stayed for moments brief
just like the holding hand

Only yesterday
this book of life began
where all we ever did
lay captured on the page

Only yesterday
we filled the book with sand
grains of our experience
penned by our hand

With compass memories chart
the sea, our life in time
survey the golden sunset
the dawn, the waves, the wine.
