Waiting in line...(thoughts of a romantic)

Embedded image from another site

Waiting in line
among the crowd
ladies and children
couples and children

Childhood laughter
a beautiful young Hispanic girl
standing in front of me
silky black hair

Much like my lady

I think about
all the things
I'd rather be doing
than standing in line

I'd rather be kindling a fire
hurling logs to flame
with my Hispanic lady
mi alma gemela

We could watch waves collide
under dark circling clouds
with the rhythm of the tide
How I wish for her this moment

Te necesito mi amor

I can almost taste
the sweat dripping from her side
How i would rather watch
a meteor shower with her tonight

Veo que mi amor
eres hermosa

The beautiful lady in front of me
who reminds me of my lover
with long black silky hair...

Storm Clouds

Embedded image from another site

As I run
along the shoreline
from the south
sky blue and black
storm clouds gather...

Angry birthing mists
slowly glide
wind across water...

Gust of gales
soft and moist
soothing reminding me
that I am loved
by the woman I love...

Life is beautiful

Tattered storm clouds
soon to release singing rain
my love I dream you
come and be my lover in the rain...

Soon they will disappear
sky return to blue...

I will go home
pull my comforter over me
unafraid thunder will find me...

Everything to me..

Embedded image from another site

My Lily flower
take my hand

we will soon be together
somehow
someday
somewhere

I would rather
have just one smell of your hair
one touch of your hand
than an eternity without it..

Sometimes I love you in silence
in silence there is no rejection
I choose sometimes to love you in loneliness
for in your loneliness
no one owns you but me..

I love her with the breath
smiles and tears of my life

She makes me what I am
all of this is for her

she is my love, my life, my heart and soul
best friend I have ever known..

I will not die for her
I will live to love her...

Until the rapture...

Perfect...

Embedded image from another site

She is
a walking poem
light brown beauty

At first
nothing made sense at all
then perfect sense

She says
happiness is who we are
a feeling of joy

She is the perfect doll
dressed in delight

Until now
life has been
a series of accidents

Until her
the perfect end...

Summer Love.

Embedded image from another site

Last night a singing frog
kept me up all hours of the night
I was thinking of your summer brown body
seeking you in the haiku of the season.

I long to lay with you
on the warm moonlit beach
under faceless wordless night clouds
until late in the early morning.

There I will feel your velvet fingertips
see your black hair fall
kiss your neck and you will kiss mine
tangled up in skin will feel just fine.

I will brush the hair from your eyes
your brown body so soft to the touch
we are arm in arm and cheek to cheek
our souls merge under the summer sky

we make love
and fall asleep...

Gigolo..

She said to him
you are just a gigolo
A love robot
you just aim to please.

He told her
I will wine and dine you
be your love and flame.

She said
all you wish
is for the price to be right
and to speak of fantasies.

He told her
I will make your dreams come true
fight the dragons
rescue you from the abyss.

She said
you are a lover and a knight
kiss the words of sweetie pie
love and give so much more.

He asked
have you ever been
with someone like me?
you deserve so much better in your life

You deserve me...

Rainbow...

Embedded image from another site

Her love
is like water

I fall in it
and drown in it

Cannot
live without it

Her love
forms a pool
of clear water

where light plays

She is
spring rain

sunshine
on the rain

rain falling
on sunshine

Causing
a rainbow to form

flowers to grow

If a sound
were made

it would be
her laughter

adding color
to my sunset sky..

Meant to be...

Embedded image from another site

When I heard
my first love song
I searched for her.

Not knowing
I was blind

I suffered

then realized

lovers do not
meet by chance

Lovers have been
in each other all along

Sent to each other
by God

Witnessed
by angels

All other lovers
dropped way

and here she is...

Lover...

Embedded image from another site

We are
a single soul
in two bodies.

Our friendship
turned to love
then into
music.

The beginning
of everything.

She has
the capacity to wound
with such precision

But she has
the capacity to heal
what she has done.

She is my priestess
my magician
my lover.

She makes charms
to incant
my being

I am a victim
of her beauty

There is a place
in our hearts
only we can enter

There we dissolve
and merge
into eternity...

About this poem:
It's like you're standing in a window
in a house nobody lives in
and I'm sitting in a car across the way

Let's just say
an early model chevrolet
it's a warm and windy day
you go and pack your sorrow
trash man comes tomorrow
leave it the curb
and we'll just go away...

Persian Horses...

Embedded image from another site

How I long again to smell the perfume
softly whispered upon your flower body
For all of my time i have always known
you would come to me as the hummingbird of love...

I gaze upon the 100 Persian horses
grazing in the moonlit reflection of your soft black hair
For over a month now I have craved you
your beautiful lips the enemy of my winter...

Forever do i seek your inner youth and beauty
it is the wonderful garden of my torture
I send to you this poem from the depths of my soul
in ivory letters that say forever my love...

Forever is the words i send you
now that I have tasted the blood of your veins in my teeth
you are the earth wrapped around me
you are the flesh of my dreams...

The Commuter

Faith my professor
once said
is like a train
driven on rails
of written truths...

The truth, I ask.
you have lectured
of wars and famines
the Jewish holocaust
and Old Testament prophesies..

The professor and pastor
smiled and stated
everything will be fulfilled
with the Christ's return
a truth mentioned in our Gospels..

I asked kindly
is faith a leap
like off the Grand Canyon?
He reached out and gave me
a schedule of Bible classes...

Faith is a lifelong commute
plenty of time to change
the television station
relive the past
consider the future..

A beautiful Hispanic girl
gave me a Bible
wrapped in plastic
just before that
an old woman in a Lincoln

rolled over a flower bed
good people around
all frowned
with insult
only to be consoled by the pastor...
