No Money From Me

When the rent money is due,
I wait and wonder about you.
The money you see, comes from you.
That is what you said you would do;
For me and the little mouths to feed.

When the utilities threatened to go off,
And cold surrounds the abode,
I wait and wonder about you.
The money you see, comes from you.
This is what you said you would do;
For me and the little mouths to feed.

The money you send is only so much;
And you said you cared.
But you are never there for me to touch,
And when I need your help,
You are busy or tired.

I see how it is now;
Anger won't help me,
But when you ever need me for something,
I never did say I would be there and I don't have any money, honey.

Pattern of Beats

Pit, pit, patter.
Could something be the matter?
Pitter, pitter, pat
What in the world is that?

Thud-ah, thud-ah, thump.
A ball of muddy clump.
Skip a part, skip a part.
There goes my silly heart.

The pattern of beats,
Two beats, three beats, one.
The sound, so lively,
Can be great fun.

Walking shoes,
Talking tongues,
Clicking hooves,
Swishing moves.
All have beats,
That put us in the groove.

Perplexing

Life can be perplexing.
Which? Where? What? How?
Make up your mind now!
So what do we do,
To make our dreams come true?
Someone says this is the best for you.
Another says that is not true.
Which way do we go?
Where do we find it?
What is the best choice?
How do we get it?
Weigh the pros and cons.
What works best for us?
Then chest out, chin up.
Don't be afraid.
Life is perplexing,
But life is short.
So don't hesitate.
Dive in and live,
Before it's too late.

Sweet Poetry

He encouraged her to look into herself.
To find what was hidden so long.
He told her she would find it.
To try hard and she would see,
It was there all along.
But it was dormant and needed awakening.
She must gently arouse the sleeping bud;
nourish it with desire.
Water it with pen and ink.
The words in her heart will spring forth upon the pad.
Unfolding their petals and releasing thoughts;
That were beneath the dark soil of busy-work and neglect.
Finally blooming into beautiful blossoms of love.
She loves him for the sweetness he brought her,
That awakened the flower within.

All The Way

Look out world,
Here I come.
Ready to rock,
Ready to roll.

Want to go out
And have some fun.
Eat my cake
And frosting too.

Fall in the snow
And sink in the sea.
Fly in the sky
And plow the earth.

Me and my one;
So special to me,
Are going to take life
With us all the way.
Just wait and see!

My Island

My island is a land of many
It bristles with wonderous textures
Each a different sight to see
Various surfaces to touch

The music heard, tickles the ear
Melodious verbage always near
All different and all the same
The lyrics differ, the message doesn't change

Love of the land, the beautiful island
Where flowers bloom all year long
And harmonious birds sing their song
Unity among men is strong

There are many lands here
And faces depict them all
But together, with pride
The people of my island will never fail

Common Ground

I wonder what would happen
If parliment met with congress
Regime and monarchy too
Analyze issues and decide what to do

It may be surprising to more than just one
How astoundingly beneficial things can become
More precious than silver, copper or gold
Greater than wars won or legends been told

The meeting of the minds intellectual, analytical too
The gathering of hearts warmed by the same light
With hopes that decisions made
Will conclude with whats right

Unfortunately though we all know
The culprits of money, power and greed
Take hold of those blinded not by need
They forget the world and united creed

We humans live on the same planet
And all have the same needs
But in order for us all to share peace
Harmony and love need sowing to feed

Mr. Green Eyes

Mr green eyes, why do you tease me so?
You look at me and I can't refuse
I want to hold you and not let go

I want to let you go
Because you don't love me right
You're only here for now I know

Gone tomorrow in the morning light
When I'll see you I don't know
Your green eyes are out of sight

But I know one day again
I'll get your call
You want to see me then

Oh, Mr green eyes, should I let you in
Or lock you out for good?
For whenever I see you, I can't win

Then you're in my arms once more
With kisses sweet and eyes so green
You warm me to the core
