Hide not from me

Hide not from me your loving sight
Or parts that stretch to darkest night
Keep not away the broken thought
Or boundaried desires of your soul

Show to me your hurts and cares
The scarred past and challenges met
Bring forward the things that shatter still
And robs you of your loving will

Stay here with me in precious fate
In moment's truth, in caring state
That we may prove your eyes are true
Yours in mine and mine in you

Repose

Oh how its left me
My jingle-jangled poetry
How it’s run its tired course
Words that drove me with such pulsating force

Cruelly left the words I knew
Left alone those words so true
Scratched, etched and pat, patted away
Renderings of a naked soul on full display

Hidden in a cragged mountain view
Or ocean that’s more than a mimicking blue
They have frittered away that summer night
And taken with them my ablest sight

Words cannot be spoken without breath to carry
Meanings of life allowing the soul to tarry
Gone, gone the weight of those I chose
Just thoughts and the bore of silent repose.

If only

If I could be given a moment more
And render you to life and restore
The time missed out and the love lost
Could I ask you to pay such cost?

Would I want the angels to spring your release
And steal away your heavenly peace
Would I want for myself a golden moment
And rob you of the ultimate at-onement?

Is love meant to let be
To wish for more so affection can see
The rainbow's end and the journey won
The end of night and the break of dawn

I cry for you but I envy more
The moments you have in endless store
The loss is great and the hurt is deep
But rather that than take your sleep

For Love called you there even though I cried
It heard me not the day you died
Mercilessly, beautifully and cruelly it took
My heavens fell and my earth shook

If only I can hold the faith
That will one day remove death's wreath
And place you again in my sight
Eternally ending this dark plight

Presence

For that millisecond
Between inspiration and expiration
Between past and future
Between unknowing and knowing
Universes formed and dissolved
Empires rose and fell
Weight waited
Matter mattered and mattered not
And I was peace itself
For that millisecond
I was in the presence of angels

Have you

Have you decided to love me yet?
To share the morning warmth,
And the evening glow
With all the moments in between.

Have you decided to care yet?
For all the frailties in me
And the strengths not to be outdone
Moulded in Karmic poetry.

Have you decided to live yet?
Beyond the realms of past experience
And visions of yesterday
To take the chance on destiny.

So may I ask the question most important still?
That will flutter the heart and move the mind
And lay the constant thought to rest:
Have you decided to love me yet?

Me and Thee

Look to me with gentle eyes holding silken promise of treasures stored in endless nights;
Give to me of such only made by the much-loved and most loving.
Surrender to me the fearlessness of a passion unrestrained by mortal convention and bestowed only to the gods of long-forgotten races.
Touch me with the weight of your most focussed thoughts
Hold me with things that transcend the physical and sings a chorus to the soul of the simplest forms of life.
Rest your hopes on my desires for a future framed in paradise not limited by the paradigm of shallow imaginings.
Comfort me as a mother would the whimpers of a child racked by the torments of illness.
Pray to the morning sun, the midday shade and the rising moon that as I walk my steps take me deeper into the heights of your devotion and my adoration.
Speak to me in tones that none hear except me and thee and those that are promises of thee and me.
Listen to the roaring tide of blood coursing through veins of compulsion bursting to be the shadow of your being.
Tend to me in the darkness of our separation and in the glory of our embrace lest time steals what it does not deserve.
Hope for me through my misery of incompletion and denial yet hope for us in all of this.
Trust for me when I am least able to see the truth of your care or the proclamations of your heart.
Whisper to me soft murmurings of consolation in your dreams for tomorrow's gladness yet to be felt.
Tell now in your surest voice those things which my being needs to hear: You love me in a way that was not possible to any human born before.
For this is how I love you…

Walk in grace with me

Share my journey as company
Walk my love in grace with me
Weary my step and shortened my gait
That takes me along this challenging strait

We'll share the more and hurt the less
The ascent will take us till our rest
Taken through wandering in fields designed
Restoring our hearts, my soul, a mind

A bridge to cross over waters rushing
A tide within a long time pulling
Join so with me on loving quest
Together we'll reach that perfect crest

Broken

Dawn breaks uneasily on his soul
An absence leaves him un whole
A stretch to touch a sweeter sense
By a heart filled with prescience

Changes focused swiftly on
Words omitted or sighs gone
Subtleties missed by others not blessed
A lover's mind can never rest

The afternoon after morning bliss
A thought to a touch to a kiss
How does life progress to a goal
With all this thunder in a soul

Evening grows in her eyes
The light once there now belies
Their passion once worn as battle plates
That weighed them down from greater fates

Darkest night pierces brightest light
Hope forgone and so is sight
Such a wrenching sound it makes
As the lover's heart breaks

Such a love

One that presses me to paint the wind
That causes me to sing a sunrise with summer notes
How can this be gone
Such a love

That fills my smiles with melodic dance
And compounds and confounds
The simplest equations of human care
Surely it is still there
Such a love

Which drives me to compose
The milieu of needing but not wanting
Writing passion on a night sky
Winking a rythm of gentleness
I feel it still
Such a love

Allowing my heart to bleed a stirring refrain
You and me and you and me
The purpose of our lives found
Such a love

A word

No word speaks more
Yet spoken of so little
Softening thoughts and measuring all
Which wondrous word wields
Grace and care and grace again
Seen too often on tombs ... too late
For some held - never all
Defining clearly the sacred self
Blessing beyond beauty:
"Beloved"
