I think most will agree that where a scammer can be proved we should report, but earlier I read a blog where one member suggested we should report the blog as he found it offensive, should we really report any blog we don't like
to me next would come bloggers we don't like
the same member also described the blogger as scum taking up space on the blogs
when one member insults another should we report that
personally I'd look at each individual case before deciding
but what if we know a blogger has knocked 11 years off their age stated in their profile, and posted a picture to match that age, should we report that
indeed what constitutes grounds for a report, we don't want to overwork the mods now do we
In a year when two aircraft have been lost a third must surely spell the end for some of these budget airlines? Whilst one could be considered unfortunate, three to me smacks of a lack of duty in the safety of their passengers, whilst the facts are not yet known the plane, an Airbus A320-200, is the workhorse of budget airlines & has an excellent safety record, when operated in accordance with good procedures.

I remember when it happened as if it were yesterday, though in reality it happened in about 1956
The house where I was born in London had a high wall around it but in the middle were pillars so I could peek through & see the world go by, not that there was ever much activity it being a quiet road, anyway it must have been summer as I was looking through the gaps when a group of older boys came along, they must have been the local gang of "tearaways" as without any warning whatsoever they turned my life inside out, not a thought for my sanity they stopped & one of them said those words, the most feared words a boy of four could ever hear " You know there is no Santa Claus " , well I was stunned but still held on to the forlorn hope they were wrong & rushed inside to consult my mother, I can't now remember what she said but my parents went on with the fraud for years after, but deep down inside I knew it was true, I had been born into a world without Santa
Or had I, on the BBC news last night they showed Santa's progress around the world & you can now even track him on Google
But just to be on the safe side this year I decided, just in case he didn't arrive, that I should solve my biggest problem myself, I've been stretching it longer & longer in the last few years, to the point where it's too hard to use, I consulted a specialist & he told me I'd over done it with the file on my teeth as well as over stretching it, well what did he expect, you need sharp teeth
there was nothing else I could do but treat myself to a new chain for my chainsaw

Twitter has never held any appeal for me personally, but it seems almost a daily occurrence for someone to hit the news for their "tweets", last week there was a piece on Sky News about trolls attacking the McCann's, the couple who's child was abducted in Portugal some years back, it seems not only do they have the anguish of a missing child but also have to put up with being attacked on the net by trolls, what trolls get out of hiding behind an anonymous or fake profile & attacking seemingly random people is beyond me, anyway Sky uncovered the identity of one such troll & caught her coming out of her house & attempted to interview her as to her motives, they didn't get much out of her, on Saturday the woman was found dead in an hotel room, seems whilst she was quite happy attacking on the net anonymously she wasn't quite so happy to be exposed on UK tv, in the words of Corp Jones ( Dads Army) "They don't like it up em"

Nam's blog about how things used to be has reminded me of how things were in 1950's Britain, back then if the police got even a whiff of two men engaging in any kind of s*xual activity the door would be knocked in & said men dragged off to the cells, now in 2014 we hear of a town in northern England where child abuse has been allowed to continue for 16 odd years because nobody in authority there wanted to risk saying the crimes were being committed by mainly Asian (Pakistani) men, to the point where during a raid for drugs the police unearthed an Asian man in bed with an underage girl & totally ignored it, it is thought this town is not an isolated incident & there are likely to more places where this phenomenon of spineless politicians & senior police officials exist, these said officials main concern now seeming lies with keeping their jobs & have no thoughts whatsoever about the hundreds or thousands of children whose lives have been ruined.

At least 1,400 children were subjected to appalling s*xual exploitation in Rotherham between 1997 and 2013, a report has found.

It's funny how nature has built in compensation for age, a young person said to me recently "Aren't you bothered that all the women your age are all wrinkly", well the short answer is no, not really, apart from seeing plenty of them in the mirror each morning I,like a lot men my age have developed long sightedness, requiring glasses to read, without glasses anyone close up appears to be quite free of wrinkles & blemishes as if they've been photo-shopped, if they move further away you can't see them anyway, the wonders of mother nature, and you thought this blog was going to be a moan about about profile pictures! Could that be the subject of another blog?
A news item today reports on a condemned man who had a heart attack when the "lethal" injection failed to work properly,
To my way of thinking this leaves us with several questions -
Should we be executing people in the first place?
Can we not in 2014 come up with a lethal injection that both works & is humane?
When can we expect to see the bastard that raped & murdered an 11 month old girl who was due to be executed two hours later put to death?
