DRONEon episode 5...

I went for a few months without flying drones. The model I purchased a few years ago, uses GPS guidance with the ability to shoot high quality 4K video. My intent was to study and pass the FAA Part 107 test and be certified to fly drones commercially... as in making money legally doing aerial photography. While it's on my list, other things keep getting in the way!

Three weeks ago, I connected with friends who fly for sport in a huge public park with a section off to one side for us to enjoy model aircraft. I did 10 minutes of flying but for some unknown reason, the video I recorded had a green tint. I suspect there could be some corrosion on the connector to the camera that needs attention.

Checking YouTube to see if anyone else had the same trouble, I came across a video with a drone that uses a ducted fan design instead of the conventional propellers.
While ducted fan technology isn't new to airplanes or drones, the inventor believes his design and shape of the propulsion tubes is unique. Therefore, he has applied for a patent.

His idea came about for safety as drones can be dangerous if they strike someone. The development of large scale quadcopters (drones) used to carry people also shares the same drawback. Some of the prototype designs I've seen all have blades in locations that could be strike someone nearing the airship.

"Proofs" and "evidence" for causality, in most "science'...

In this month's Scientific American, these issues get discussed. Sadly, the whole article focuses on classical null hypothesis rejection using p values, or "confidence" intervals. Alternatives are discussed, such as Baysian approaches, or a new gimmick, how things don't seem right by analogy with repeated coin tossing. I wish the writer had had more knowledge of research methodology, including various study approaches, and analytical biases. Current approaches merely attempt to rule out errors based on chance. The real meat of the process comes with discussion of results. This would include: Degrees of strength of findings, dose response trends, analyses of biases and efffect modification, appropriateness of study designs, biological/physical/chemical coherence, funding/publication biases,----and how results fit with existing evidence in building stronger theory of any scientifically answerable questions. But it does touch on how hard it is for humans to think outside of existing theoretical boxes. Yet ignores how all this relates to crafting real policy in the real world.

How subliminal messaging works

After watching the movie Eyes Wide Shut, I was left wondering what this movie was all about. Stanley Kubrick, the producer, was a genius and a very meticulous man when it came to making movies. After being advised of the symbolism this movie possessed, I decided to do my own digging on Youtube about some of its meanings. I am not going to get into what I did or didn't hear about the movie, as it is all speculation...since Kubrick died 5 days after editing the movie is no longer here to confirm or deny these speculations.

But, what I found evenly as fascinating, was right below the videos regarding the messages about the said movie above, were videos exposing Disney's messages in their works. Some of the images shown in cartoons were quite frankly, disgusting....especially for a target audience of young children. In one frame, they showed a woman with her breast exposed. Reportedly, their mission was to charge young children sexually, and encourage them to disobey their parents in the future.

Subliminal message, they explained, works on a subconscious level. On the conscious level, our brains can only process so much data and information. So, watching these cartoons, the conscious mind normally does not pick up on these images/messages. However, they inform that the subconscious can process millions more times the amount of data the conscious mind can. In essence, the messaging is stored in our subconscious....thus, they explain the mind-control project we are all be subjected to.

To confirm this statement about the subconscious processing immense more data than the conscious mind, I once heard from a hypnotist, he said, he could hypnotize somebody well into their adult years and have them recall the eye color of everyone of their friends at their third birthday party.

How'd that happen???????

Best evidence, from a number of lines of inquiry, confirm that the universe is expanding. Individual galaxies remain relatively tight, helped by internal gravity. But the distance between them is increasing, and the more distant these are from each other, the faster they go. Like raisins in rising bread dough. Dark energy ( ? matter) is doing the pushing, we're told, but noone knows at all what this is. Freaking out here over all this. Aa-V.

Men and women........Data......

Many will know of how, among some men, fishing stories occasionally turn up tales of specimens several times larger than even remotely biologically possible. Does one see such for things among women?

Females and males.....Striking.......

In very primitive life forms, there are methods of exchange of genetic materials, between sexes, but it hardly resembles s*xual reproduction. But all higher forms, including even many plants, with exceptions, from a genetic viewpoint, resemble the egg and sperm deal seem in humans. So the advantages of this scheme go very far back and are everywhere. Except in many liberals, and other primitive human like organisms.
