For a very special friend
One of the nicest thing in my life
Is my friendship with you and even if we don't have a lot of time to spend with each other
I want you to always know
How much i appreciate you
And our friendship

Cigarettes, porcelain cups
Your coffee always filled with ashes
Like the sorrow in our childrens hearts
If we don't rectify their trembling
Your mind will never rest at ease
Nor your future hold success
If we don't learn from our mistakes
Doomed to repeat them
Over and over again
We need a rescue
We need a rescue
We all walk along this road
One foot after the other
The prints of our feet
Slowly fade away with time
Leaving a legacy for our babies
A legacy of right or wrong
We choose to set our eyes on the rising sun
Or let the day slip on it's night
We need a rescue
We need a rescue

when the winter was over
you'll return there to find me
and my memories filled you with light
you'll remember my beauty
you'll remember desire
as my memories filled you with light
i am the sun in the flame
cold from the flame turns away
and in these winds came a change
you'll awake...
Humans walk through these fields of delight
but I want you to know
desperation's the tenderest trap
so gently you go
what will it take
For their will to awake
when mans beautiful cults of desire
have left you for dead
isolation will cradle the lies
of things left unsaid
what will it take
for their will to awake
you'll look to the heavens above
and taste it's deceit
these temptations have blinded desires
to sleep at their feet
what will it take
for there will to awake
and I'll hear them call out your name
invoking the fates
chances are you've travelled too far
in stirring their hate
what will it take
nightmare awakes
their will awakes

He got off his barstool and he walked to the jukebox, and he
dropped a quarter in.
He played a song from 1968,an he waited for it to end.
He said that's the same song that I heard the day they sent
us over their.
Man we were young and full of pride, but inside we were scared.
'Cause all I had were my brothers and all they had was me.
Side by side we fought and so many died, man the horror's we
did see.
We were tired and hungry, and scared as hell but we never gave
up the fight.
That's why i'm hear to raise my glass and honor them tonight.
And then he said...
I left my blood and my brothers in a country far away.
And it's because of their sacrifice were sittin here today.
So here's a toast to my brothers who laid down their lives.
Who left behind tearful mothers, their children and their wives.
So raise a glass to your freedom and how they died for you and me.
Never forget the price they paid because freedom...
Is never really free.
Well a few weeks passed,he didn't come back in,and I figured
he'd moved away.
Then I saw his picture in the paper, they had his funeral today.
Said he wore his dress blues, there was an honor guard, they gave the flag to his wife.
Well he never told me his name but i'll say a prayer for that Marine
who shared with me his life.
And i'll make a toast to his brothers who laid down their lives.
Who left behind tearful mothers, their children and their wives.
And i'll raise a glass to my freedom and how they died for you
and me.
And i'll never forget that old devil dog who said freedom....
is never really free.

This song is dedicated to the men and women of our armed forces who have served in times of war past and present. To the POW's and those still MIA.To those who made the ultimate sacrifice with their lives. And to their families who wait and pray for their return.

I had a flat tire on a lonely country road
When she came along in her hot pink Olds
She asked if she could do anything for me
All I could do, was drool on my knee
Her hair was long and black and her skin was ivory
When she stood up she was all of six foot three
Her hot burning lips began to speak again
All I could do, was drool down my chin
Her hair was long and black
She had looks that would last
My mind was going slack
She had legs up to her.....
Then I heard my Momma cry!!
"Mind your manners son that's somebodies daughter
Be careful what you say or they will take you away
Mind your manners son that's somebodies daughter
Be careful what you say or they will take you away"
She came right over and stood right next to me
While I kept staring at the scenery
She asked me what the problem with the car could possibly be
All I could do, was drool on my sleeve
She fixed my tire just as easy as can be
While my eyes kept going glazy
As she drove away she turned and waved goodbye
All I could do. was drool on my ........ Tie
Her hair was long and black
She had looks that would last
My mind was going slack
She had legs up to her.....
Then I heard my Momma cry!!
"Mind your manners son that's somebodies daughter
Be careful what you say or they will take you away
Mind your manners son that's somebodies daughter
Be careful what you say or they will take you away"

Verse I
I hitch to get to where I need.
I have no car you see.
Times are rough,
But I am tough,
Sometimes you gotta be.
I get good rides most of the time,
At others it's no go.
It's all good
Get what I should.
On the side of the road.
Chorus
On the side of the road,
On the side of the road,
You never know,
How it wiill go,
On the side of the road.
Verse II
There's money lost and money found,
A crapshoot at the best.
Take the things,
Good fortune brings,
And disregard the rest.
I've found the thing to do is just,
Sit back and watch the flow.
What goes by,
Upon the tide,
On the side of the road.
Verse III
Sometimes there are people too,
Out wanderin' around.
Just like me,
They're try'n' to see,
What's out there to be found.
Some are nice and some are mean,
You never really know.
Some are out,
Just roam'n' about,
On the side of the road.

Soul (Dusha)
Can you see the soul smiling?
My feet are quickening their pace
As if I really had wings behind my back
But there is no one chasing after me
Look - my wet soul is drooped
Although there is no stick or knife above it
The body's marble melted into soft wax
And the computer brain flew off to the devil
Soul, where is your place?
I have a stitch in my right side
I stooped with bated breath
Something broke again all of a sudden
Blazed up, went out and caught fire again
A voice coming from far above
A new pain where wings should be
Faces of the stars are laved with downpours
And I nearly grasped the comet's tail

Let your heart tell your mind what it knows, and see the world for the first time.
Step from dark, become a light to surround.
Trade all fear for love.
Begin to see yourself in others, and them in you - safe from harm and free as birds in full flight, choosing their own course.
Their storm is your storm.

I feel you like a flower from the meadow,
I hear you like a silence of the winter’s night,
for my dreams you are my small pillow,
I look to all by new another sight
You are my poem from a book,
I must read it every day,
I’m your shy, little cook,
my kitchen is in a sweet, love’s bay
Where is my head ? - I don’t know,
I want to make you happy - forever,
to be like a clean, white snow,
to be your mad, lovely, quiet lover ..........
