I've had some bad experiences with my doctor lately giving me bad advice, trying to make me go on medications I don't think I need, for my supposed condition, and getting snotty with me when I dissagree with him.I think some of these doctors are mostly in to sell pills which they make money on.I'm sure there are good doctors but there are also bad ones who don't have your best interest in mind.Share your thoughts please.
There is an organization that is part of the World "Health" Organization, Codex Alimentarius. One of their stated goals is to eliminate all sources of natural substances, leaving us dependent upon the pharmaceutical industry and the ever-expanding genetically modified food producers, et al. But, be careful there, Bill. You may leave the impression that you're a conspiracy nut!
I work for one and don't trust him. He is old, forgetful and I often have to fix up his f@@@@ ups. (excuse the expression, but I had no other way of saying it hehehe)
If I don't, I wouldn't go back there. Everyone is able to pick their doctor of choice in Germany, not as easy in Ireland.
how is there bedside manner?german police fired their weapons 1000 plus,750 of those times it was for children laffing too loud/hard,lol.have some german on dads side, they didnt have much of a sense of humor.

No one has been shot for that for a long time reb.
I like my family's humour and have a great time with them when I get the chance to hang out at home.

Just looking at the kids around me - if each parent sticks to "their" language with the kids to not confuse them as a baby, they pick it up automatically.
Until November of 2013, I lived my entire life in Maryland with my wife of 31 years. She passed away in October of 2013. Financially, I was forced to live here in New Mexico.
In 2007, I was told by three doctors that I had better have coronary bypass surgery or I would die. In retrospect I realize that God is the only person who knows when I will die. Apparently, the "good" doctors think of themselves as God...
Because I was ignorant of the evils of modern-day medicine, I agreed to the surgery. There were five (5) bypasses! After the surgery there was no more chest pains. None. Nada. I thought I had a new lease on life. I became a fanatic and did everything the doctors advised me: I kept track of my calories burned, my calories consumed; I lifted light weights and walked a mile every day, and did workouts in my home on the Total Gym. I felt better than I did when in my 30's! And then it happened: the chest pain returned while I was doing my daily walk.
I immediately drove back to that damned hospital and sought out the "good" doctor. I told him the chest pains had returned and I asked him why. His response, "I don't know." Now wait a minute, doc, I said, let me understand this. You made a quarter of a million dollars in three hours and twenty-two minutes in O.R. (fifty thousand a bypass), and you're saying you don't know. The hospital made an additional $28,000 for my four-day stay.
The doctor said that I must come back to the hospital for more tests. And I told him that I had a stent put in one of the arteries surrounding my heart in 1998. Four months afterwards, it collapsed and I had to return for the artery to be reopened. And now the bypass surgery failed in five months. "Does that tell you something about your medicine, doc?" His response, "If you can live with the pain, then so can I."
From my research I discovered that approximately fifty percent of bypass surgeries fail. FIFTY PERCENT. HALF! Why are they being allowed to continue? Say it with me: because it's fifty thousand dollars a bypass. A lot of these surgeries failed because of the procedure in sewing an artery before the blockage to bypass the blockage. That's a whole different explanation, requiring more time. Do you own due diligence.
Everything is "money." Medicine, politics, religion, etc. Sad thing is, it ain't even money. It's green toilet paper printed by a corporation that loans it to our government at 6% interest, and we're the chumps that pay it back. Why do you think we got "income" tax?

I suggest you literally write down your needs and as much you possibly can to describe the "Doctor" you are wanting to be treated by. If you are on any type of medication that requires some special approval then make sure you are stocked up and simply "FIRE" the doctor you have now and interview new ones. Maybe you will have to do it the other way around, hire than fire. I went through three after I fired mine. But the Doctor I have now is intelligent, listens, seems to have a similar view on medicine and is much younger than me. this is what i did. Don't stay in a place where they don't sum up to your expectancies. Good Luck

You meant 'doctor' and you'd put 'doctor'...
You mentioned that you felt you didn't need the medication but you are not medically qualified, are you?
His attitude is something that may need to be addressed. Surely, you are entitled to a second opinion or to change doctor, aren't you?
I don't think there are many doctors who start out with a hidden agenda or a jaded perspective, its something that develops over time for all the obvious reasons. And the pharmaceutical companies are immensely powerful, more than we know. That combined with the internal politics of the medical profession often means that individual doctors' hands are tied and simply cannot work in the way they would wish, I'm afraid.

I DONT trust Doctors. That includes GPs , Surgeons, Shrinks, I was told that a pain and huge swollen stomach I had for nearly a year was due to 'overweight' I wasnt ! and pain was getting worse, I had all the symptoms of OVarian Cancer which I had told the Doc my mothers sister was dying of [we are very alike in DNA] she ignored me, eventually I went to the hospital myself and caused a scene, I mean a real scene, I demanded a scan, they gave me one and hey presto ! I had to have everything out [womanly parts ] and it was precancerous, plus I had a huge 10cm pre cancerous cyst. I was v ill afterwards. I wont go on... I was too tired and happy to be alive to sue the doctor. That is one of many fauz paz that doctors have made. It is good to be pro active and read up on things. So sorry to hear about that Gentlemans Bypass, I wasnot aware of a 50pc failure rate !! so its a resounding NO I dont trust them and I do believe they are in the pockets of the pharmacuetical companies, esp. the Head Doctors who push SSRIs even though they are addictive and basically have been shown not to work.

Hi G.
Regarding the SSRI's do you have the names of the studies that prove this? I did a project on them for a College course a couple of years ago and woukd be interested in reading them.

Glatlol When I did my Counselling Dip some years ago the SSRIs were only coming in. There are myriads of Studies. Health Connect. is an american site [you probably know it] check Depression or Bipolar. you will see the latest on all the SSRIs bear in mind that it is pharmacuetically backed. I cant just now to hand. Give you many names but the Sites have been reputable, it is a study I am presently doing, placebo has shown that those who meditate and exercise and have a 'talking therapy' do the very same as those on SSRIs. The SSRIs do have an effect on anxiety. However despite denials from the pharm.Companies they are very addictive and worse than Heroin to come off. The worst offenders are Seroxat, Efexor XL. I guess the quickest would be type in 'Do SSRIs really work' alot of very good studies. Hope this has been of some help. I wouldnt have put that up if I hadnot read up on same. Best of luck with your project too.
Id trust a doctor about as fast as id trust a lawyer. they all say they became doctors to help people... help people out of what? their life savings? doctors are ridiculously expensive. they are only in it to help themselves get rich. the whole industry is designed around greed and not healthcare. Look at a medical bill from an emergency room some time. $50 for an aspirin? $35 for a blanket you don't get to keep? Hell it cost $1000 to just walk in the place. Ive seen doctors turn away injured children because their parents didn't have cash or an insurance company to bleed money out of. I can see turning away an adult but a child?!? referring patients back and forth to each other and robbing them and their insurance companies along the way. If you take your dog to the vet for an issue it cost at least 25% less than if it was a human. the drugs are a fraction of the cost for the same things they give people. The facilities are just as clean.. the doctor (vet) is just as caring and careful. So as I see it, if you can fix a pet for a reasonable price then why not a person?? theft is why. Sometimes the cure is worse than the sickness...
So what did I learn from this rant?? the next time I get sick or hurt im going to the vet!!
Doctor. Did someone mention the Doctor? Actually, over the years with my dealings with doctors, not once have I had bad dealings. Whether I'm lucky or what, but if you don't like the results, keep changing them till you get what you want.
