Michael the water is receding at an alarming rate every year not because of lack of water harvested but because of supplying it to areas like Los Angeles. In the north we do have abundance specially coming from trinity alps and Lassen park but they all drained to the ocean. If we harness that perhaps water shortage shouldn't be a problem.

About 25 page with so much substance on opposing directions. The discussion was very colorful and at times insightful but got derailed by some hateful ideas.

Well it depends on how you rate our political leaders and our system I guess. But the birth of liberalism gave post to the left while the conservatives from Colonialism are still called the right. In theory it's well defined but in practice I believe whatever suits best on the policy of the leaders when it comes to greed and power prevail. MHO.

Speaking empirically and from read surveys... women in (general) tend to be more emotional in their mindset. Whereas men are less emotional, and, more logical and pragmatic in their thought processing. Case in point: no matter how much logic and rationale I imparted to my ex-fiancé... she would usually react and retort via her emotions. Thus I am in agreement with you pretty lady. Thank you.
I can completely understand All. However, I have listened so much about dr. Laura Schlessinger's lecture on the wide diffrences on men and women's emotional as well as logical tendencies and it's amazing how it supports my observation, or perhaps I'm just thrown in the world of women who are more emotional.
My children are my immediate example. My son, hardly ever shows emotions, my girls, three of them, are very emotional on almost everything they do. Don't get me wrong, they're perfectly normal living great lives, thanks for the help of my mom raising them.
