Southern I'm not too keen with the crowd there but the fruit bowl and agricultural capital of the nation, San Joaquin up by Bakersfield to Modesto is beautiful, too.

Same thing in Baguio. The coffee plantations are planted on ridges, too and they are amazing how they can tend these plants on impossible places. 7000 feet above sea level and temperature is consistent all year round, 45 to 78 degrees. Visit it Rizal.
My abuelita was there for 15 years. When my grand father passed away, she met a very nice man from there. The last name is Roman, they moved from San Diego to Mexico when they retired. They were both US citizen of course but preferred to live there permanently and only visited us every now and then.
