The difficulty that people like Obama face is that their hands become tied by others, or political/business systems, around them which disable them from implementing all their ideas. He then has to solely bear any backlashes from various sections of society. This will always be the way unless the leader is a dictator and forces all his/her ideas regardless. Now would people prefer that?

The USA president's job is not to implement all his ideas.
The oath of office of the President of the United States is an oath or affirmation required by the United States Constitution before the President begins the execution of the office.
According to Article Two, Section One, Clause Eight of our Constitution... The president elect must make the oath or affirmation — “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that (1) I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and (2) will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
In other words, he's sworn to see that the laws made by our representatives in Congress are upheld and executed, suggests budgets, and will protect THIS country (not police the world).
I was hoping to see president Obama withdraw our troops from most foreign countries, including Germany and Korea (those wars are long over). We can save a lot of money without the cost of those bases in forien countries! We can save a ton more money by reducing our active military members from over 1.2 million to lass than 400 million and use them to only secure our borders as well as be prepared for military action elsewhere.

We do know the mechanical as well as legal execution of the laws but ultimately he is the one to be judged. We know there are more member of the Republican in Congress and yes politically sabotaging his ideas specially thaose that protect more their interest but that is why there is a president to run and lead in order to achieve an effective leadership. As far as I am concerned just like the reflection of his performance on the poll. He sucks. He fails and he is not an effective leader.

But yes there are so many things that is needed for a law to get passed and still he is to me, a poor performing president.
On his immigration practice he is definitely not carrying out the fundamental law of the land about the border..

Now that is not what I was suggesting, to be a dictator that is for sure..I will get back, I have a very important job to do.
lindsyjones: Obs I just woke up and how beautiful indeed it is to be peaceful with the sun rising up in the east.
On his Mid East policy, it is causing his record to be all time low because he seems to be selling us to the Muslims? We have a little group that talk about his performance on war issues and terrorism and he is considered a wimp.
Anyways on the money matters, it is more of the LORDY MEMBERS OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE that truly decide on the money beefing/printing/ and or based on where they would fancy to act on...
They own the world anyways and the IM and the WB is on their hands..
Good morning, Lindsy.
It is disappointing that Obama has not been able to assuage or contain the powderkeg that is the middle east. I would still say that I prefer Obama to Bush, Clinton(dirt bag), the other Bush, Reagan, Carter and maybe Ford. You'd have to go back to Richard Nixon to find an American president that I think anything of - gutting news for the others I'm sure - and even he was still a crook.

Not unlike other presidents, History may judge President Obama differently. Although I agree president Obama is not an effective leader, I am glad he has kept us out of foreign affairs as much as he has.
I'm conservative and believe we should stay out of foreign affairs. Let others sacrifice their own youth for their own causes. Too often, our leaders, old men, have sent young men to their EARLY deaths for dumb and wrong reasons, like Vietnam. Instead of fighting their own battles, other countries, especially, Europeans, have come to depend on us sacrificing our youth for their cause w/o paying for jack imo.

Love him or hate him, he has accomplished a lot. The hardest was probably to lower the national unemployment rate which went from 10 to 6%. Bush changed the way the statistics were established, meaning it was higher than 10% under his leadership (scoff).
He's continuing to be a good serf to industry and he's not alienating the big multis. He did push the health care system through which benefits a lot of poor people (although it hurts people like myself).
The biggest problem that the US faces (China) will be an ongoing concern.
If I were in his shoes, I might be less accomodating to the republicans who have turned into a bunch of raving lunatics, judging by what I read coming from some of their corners. Since he's got nothing left to lose at this point, I would use the executive power and shut down (prosecute) some of their willfully obstructionist and idiotic proposals (ex: the signature collection by the senators re syria).
Considering the mess that was left for him to clean up, I don't think anybody could have done better, to be honest.
In response to: Would you consider Obama a good leader?
Why? If not, why?
Can you please provide practice or policies that support or not?
Being a world leader, is your country affected or not? How?

Yes indeed. One of the the downside on the reign governed through democratic system is the ability of the outside force to play by supporting the candidate that will most likely to endorse their policies,
While it is under deep scrutiny not to cripple the real agendas, it can definitely influence whatever programs those endorsers have.
Clinton during her campaign for the primary was almost an instant sensation over the donation she got from a big company.

Goodmorning! In my opinion there has not been a successful president or a good leader in that office in quite sometime if ever. They all have had their faults and their positives. Yet if we were to be completely honest the United States is run by big Corporate and the dollar makers. At least from where I stand that is what I see. Our presidents have turned into mere puppets

Happy dear friend, how nice of you to join. How are you?
WEll I wouldn't discredit the fact that OUR COUNTRY WOULD HAVE NEVER ATTAINED WHERE IT IS AND WHAT IT IS NOW had not been for so many good presidents I can enumerate: George Washington, Jefferson, (drafted the declaration of independence) Lincoln, Ted Roosevelt, Kennedy and Reagan come to mind.
Each of these great leaders contributed to the legacy of supporting our unique ideals in terms of freedom and rights. Not to mention our economic power by Kennedy and Reagan and our strength of military and technology.
These libertarian principles but connected to conservatism (CONSTITUTIONAL foundation) are most strength of those leaders that is seemingly taken for granted by the new system.
And yes, THE FEDERAL RESERVE do play in the majority of decisions made to protect their monetary interest. A conflict that will always foreshadow our true practice of effective leadership. (rich versus the interest of the poor)
