RE: They're coming through the windows.

nothing much my friend.

Just wasting time passing on idiotic references.

But when I studied in England in the early 80s, I noticed, majority of the Asians there were the Indian, of course having the country one of their conquest. I shopped a lot in their bazaars there besides Harrod.

But Filipinos were mostly nurses and maids if not nannies. If was fascinating. I was a member of IBM..a prestigious organization of global business corporation. Anyways, Filipinos are very adventurous, too and that explain why we're all over the globe. Notice however, as mark of human s progress and development, the first and the second world are mostly inundated with immigration flow. Of course, why would anyone want to migrate to Z country which doesn't provide fulfillment of bettering one's life.

RE: They're coming through the windows.

I am aware we're all going to respond very differently on every issue but staying within the guidelines of common sense by agreeing to disagree civilly is the key. I'm not perfect, no one is, but when we're attacked and made to feel inferior, that's when we defeat all logic.

It was very clear her argument was not even kn the consideration of the issue. Having said that, it's imperative for the world to record all these activities to trace the modes and characteristics of migration. If anything is for everyone to accept that it's part of our life. Progress and development.

Thanks Tom, what a very compelling argument. You made my life this morning most filled with the most brilliant food over the mind. Learning at its best.

I agree with the evolution and the solution induced effects of belief as valued most by the original inhabitants of this earth. Even today, I remember Sept 11 bombing of the TT. Immediately after that, the church in any denomination worldwide was uncharacteristically full. Meaning people tend to rely on belief of someone more powerful than us to save us. Calamities and natural disasters are mark of this phenomenon. But going back to my post, is it ever possible to have a religion and can work side by side with unity among all of mankind?

RE: They're coming through the windows.

Seriously Tom, you presented a very legitimate mark of civilization. The roads to discovery which is part of being human. The need to constantly moving and searching. We're adventurous. But I understand, it's not always a positive effort on either side, we just have to be more keen on staying balanced on both the native and the immigrants. Resistance and hard acceptance is a part of the equation. But balance is the key.

Now when we all look at what's happening, there's no stopping it. Man's ability to survive and or find a more suitable place iz inherent to our human character. We'll all migrate eventually. Looking at all the angles don't hurt. Responding towards the issue negatively doesn't work good for anyone and that's where jac is good at. Simply butcher the post and blame messenger.

You're so calm in your response and I admire you for this. After all is said and done, it is a fact, it happens whether you and I like it or not.

RE: They're coming through the windows.

Rose you're so sweet. How is Clearlake today rose?

Nahhhh. It's part of being human Rose. Sometimes dark storms get to us and no scapegoat it.

It started with a good statement about the unabridged flow of immigrants to certain places which is inescapable, then jac took it as a post intended for hate inflicted tendencies. All it is is an informative discussion and like anything else there's always a plus and minus side, but instead of enhancing it starts by pointing out how insufficient and ineffective the direction of lay out of the post.

But I am laughing right now Rose and this bozo Ocee, can say all stupid things like a very sharp all knowing moron.

RE: They're coming through the windows.

Wow another all knowing idiot.

The truth is, you're the ignorant who refuses to see the value of discussing important events.

How can you appraise a person's know and not know? BY instilling superiority? Like your crony jac?

You're acting like the leader of the superior race.

A most impressive dissertation on human character Kid, I can't dispute any of these. Let alone ignore it. Perhaps then we're doomed since inception. Now where does learning and development fall in our dispositions and will?

religious differences

The golden rule Rob, if only all of us would follow but I believe it does entail Z very inhuman ability. Meaning perfect character and demeanor. No lying, no negative attitude which is the antidote of human flaw endowment.

Blame it to the Gods? I'm not sure anymore.

You pick a bone there alright. Point is in 34 hours blunders do happen. Yes. When it rains it pours. Sometimes we are poked and being coy id not s strength.

RE: They're coming through the windows.

I almost wanted to abandon this significant post but having said that, I'm back to clarify my position.

The purpose of this POST to me is not negative. It simply exposes the unstoppable migration of people around the globe. It does pose a very informative if not factual information and I tell you why. First, I'm sure whoever published this had documents to support it. Second, even without looking at statistics, it's very pervasive. You see it in the landscape.

Now what bothers me is that you seem to generate negative influence out of the presentation. I rather see it as an appraisal of what is prevalent.

Even when I was there, their presence was very notable. Even more so on my successive visits over the years.

GLobally it signifies progress. Mostly if shows that the world is becoming one. There is no indication of slowing down. Now if the post is leaning a bit towards bitter feelings assuming the results of invasion, it's natural. But inciting hatred, I don't think so.

All I'm asking is that you would direct your positive contribution and effort to something that's true and factual. THIS POST bring forward our awareness of influx of foreigners in any given country.

Acceptance is the key.

Sophie, my friend, what an honor of your visit and participation. A profound thinker you are, it truly inspiring for you to grace my write with your thoughts.

I think one of the major draw back of skepticism is the questions asked by our inquiring mind fail to grasp the true meaning of a gift, we call life. We act as though we born ourselves out of our own making and purpose. We only see how big our ego us. We don't see nor acknowledge our very I snapped insignificance is the very answer to all our doubts.
We rely on our own strength as though nothing can outdo our power, if only we check our weakness, how little we are to the magic of whom that endowed us that gift. Humility I believe is the foundation that can bring us together, not religion, not dependence on our society but our dependence to the whole humanity.

My take.

religious differences

Well my friend, how is life with you in southern California. Glad you can join us.

Ed my question then is if we won't ever be united, would that mean division is a fact that can't be avoided?
Second question is, we'll we leave this life as the end and that's it?
Or as widely believed, judgement day will happen and great life after that? Would religion only be here in this life?

Thanks Ed.

I beg to disagree Yeats. Your view on the agressors of man due to science is most misunderstood. Without science it's most impossible to gauge the mystery on this vast universe.

The only ability we're gifted to discern the ever elusive part of this magnificent creation, called universe.

Thanks Irk, I hope you'll enjoy participating, my first time to see you. wave

religious differences

I was hoping you wouldn't say that. Given the enormous progression of man and our concept of civility, these people today who can harness their intelligence for enlightenment and development, I was relying on the effort that we do want to be at peace with one another sans ego and arrogance.

religious differences

Indeed. A result of our labor and perceptions. Life iz how we make it. Therefore it's a choice to be peaceful, it's a desire to be united and it a deliberate effort to be loved and love everyone.

religious differences

Tom a most legitimate question and one of the most avoided to be considered.
I believe if no one can grasp the end of the universe, meaning there's so much there left unknown with our limited mind, and yet we can establish that there's billion more of galaxies out there, why don't we consider thinking that there's truly God, who's all knowing and conceived the use of that space? Meaning our short insignificant life iz but just a leaf of our pages to live more in other dimension?

Please read Many Lives Many Master by dr. Weiss.

religious differences

I think going back to Dalai Lamas statement should be the root to solving this dilemma. We must see and practice peace, only then can our religion dictates unity as humanity needs it.

religious differences

Our failure to see and appreciate how insignificant we are. Our endless capabilities of arrogance and cruelty. Our infinite excuse of failing to see humility, all are gross representation of ego like KB said.

religious differences

Somehow the strain of not being able to tap and use 100 percent of our given brain Tom

Perhaps our inability to contain or attempt to use all of it is the answer.

We're not really intelligent yet, only few, like Einstein, Newton and very few. When we can tap that perhaps it would be the time? frustrated

religious differences

Indeed stringman. I honestly believe, if ALL, and I mean the whole HUMANITY, would agree and live by these commandments, how can it not be good? It's ideal and practical. It fosters love, respect for all that is good, no killing, harm done to our fellow man. WHY can't we adhere and stick to it?

religious differences

Thanks KB. Indeed the hope of being forgiven and attempt to do better.

I like that.

QUESTION: in the realm of religion, don't we wish it's a matter of realizing Z wrong that can easily be corrected?

religious differences

Well then we just have to wait then Tom. Destiny as anticipated? Meantime we live through all these evils lurking in our midst.

Not good.

KB a most compelling substance of humility. Yes, that which is a flaw inherent to our creation. Imperfections of which we have not always absolute control. Does it mean then that like we, catholic believe when God passes the judgement and imperfect no more?

I am always praying that weakness wouldn't rule me but as committed as I am for justice and understanding, somehow I'm short sighted and commit many Z blunders that hurt others.

religious differences

I believe that survival is a way of making it out to what we need. Today among humanity, is there still a need to kill so we survive?
