Thank you Joe Biden - Inflation Surges Yet Again, Hits New 40-Year High

Propelled by surging costs for gas, food and housing, consumer inflation jumped 7.9% over the past year, the sharpest spike since 1982 and likely only a harbinger of even higher prices to come.

The increase, reported Thursday by the Labor Department, reflected the 12 months ending in February and didn’t include most of the oil and gas price increases that followed Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24. Since then, average gas prices nationally have jumped about 62 cents a gallon to $4.32, according to AAA.

Even before the war further accelerated price increases, U.S. consumer inflation had risen to its highest level in four decades. What’s more, housing costs, which make up about a third of the government’s consumer price index, have risen sharply — a trend that’s unlikely to reverse anytime soon.

The government’s report Thursday also showed that inflation rose 0.8% from January to February, up from the 0.6% increase from December to January.

For most Americans, inflation is running far ahead of the pay raises that many have received in the past year, making it harder for them to afford necessities like food, gas and rent. As a consequence, inflation has become the top political threat to President Joe Biden and congressional Democrats as the midterm elections draw closer. Small business people said in surveys that it’s their primary economic concern, too.

Seeking to stem the inflation surge, the Federal Reserve is set to raise interest rates several times this year, beginning with a modest hike next week. The Fed faces a delicate challenge, though: If it tightens credit too aggressively this year, it risks undercutting the economy and possibly triggering a recession.

Energy prices, which soared after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, jumped again this week after Biden said the United States would bar oil imports from Russia. Oil prices did retreat Wednesday after reports that the United Arab Emirates would urge fellow OPEC members to boost production. U.S. oil was down 12% to $108.70 a barrel, though still up sharply from about $90 before Russia’s invasion.

Biden Administration Considering Pulling Health Care from Veterans to Treat Illegal Aliens

Did you, or a family member, serve your country with the expectation of receiving the health care benefits you were promised?

Sorry, illegal aliens apparently come first in President Joe Biden’s America.

The Biden administration reportedly is considering diverting doctors from the Department of Veterans Affairs to treat the massive inflow of illegal aliens expected at the southern border this spring and summer.

Hillary Vaughn of Fox Business reported on an insulting slight to American veterans on Thursday, citing a source with US Customs and Border Protection.

She quoted the source as saying, “We’re going to take medical services away from people that really deserve that. Who went to combat… to give free medical attention to illegal migrants. ”

The Department of Veterans Affairs is already notoriously inefficient, with a shortage in personnel likely to cost American veterans the care they need.

The Biden administration would redistribute the health care resources for a surge of as many as half a million illegal immigrants, according to Vaughn.

The administration is gutting immigration enforcement and deportations in favor of a system designed to check-in and ferry illegals to American communities.

Biden has consistently shrouded his border policies in secrecy, and it’s likely the administration would try to keep the use of veterans’ health care resources for illegals under wraps.

The spring surge would follow the termination of Article 42a Trump-era policy designed to allow the quick expulsion of illegals on the grounds of coronavirus public health concerns.

Reports on Thursday indicated the Biden administration planned to eliminate the border security policy on May 23, just in time to meet the late spring surge of illegal aliens.

Border Patrol chief Raul Ortiz told CNN he expects the agency to apprehend as many as 8,000 illegal aliens a day when Article 42 is removed.

Illegal migration levels fluctuate in response to US policy, with more illegals arriving when they expect amnesty and legal residency.

Biden has overseen a record-setting flow of illegal aliens.

On March 1, the Democrat said during his State of the Union address that “we need to secure our border”- a talking point that appears to be a little more than a partisan lie in light of Biden’s unthinkable open borders governance.

Ukrainian peace negotiators suffered symptoms of suspected 'chemical weapons' poisoning after talks

Symptoms included red eyes, constant and painful tearing and peeling skin on their hands and faces.

Sanctioned Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich and Ukrainian peace negotiators were victims of a suspected poisoning earlier this month - reportedly using chemical weapons.

Symptoms included red eyes, constant and painful tearing and peeling skin on their hands and faces, a source confirmed to Sky News.

The Guardian's Shaun Walker said Mr Abramovich lost his sight for several hours and had to be treated in Turkey.

A Ukrainian negotiator said all members of the team are working normally, while it is understood the Chelsea FC owner is fine and continues to work on the negotiations.

However a US official said on Monday that the "intelligence highly suggests" the cause was environmental, not poisoning.

Investigative website Bellingcat said the dosage and type of toxin was likely insufficient to cause life-threatening damage and "most likely was intended to scare".

What is a woman? SCOTUS nominee - ??????????

Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson refused to define the word 'woman' during the fiery second day of her confirmation hearing conducted by the Senate's Judiciary Committee.

The moment came during a tense exchange with Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) who pressed Jackson on sex and gender issues amid the fallout of biological male swimmer Lia Thomas storming to victory in the NCAA championships against female competitors.

Quoting late Supreme Court judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Blackburn said: 'Physical differences between men and women are enduring. The two sexes are not fungible. A community made up exclusively of one sex is different from a community composed of both.'

'Do you agree with Justice Ginsburg that there are physical differences between men and women that are enduring?' the senator asked.

When Jackson claimed she had never heard the quote, Blackburn asked directly: 'Can you define the word ''woman''?'

'Can I provide a definition?' Jackson responded.

'No, I can't,' she declared, before adding: 'I'm not a biologist'.

Jackson's staunch refusal to offer a definition of a woman came at the end of the second day of questioning which tackled the big issues of race, abortion and judicial philosophy.

It was a grueling marathon of debate for President Joe Biden's historic pick, who is making history as the first black woman nominated for the court.

Russia tells US envoy that Russian-American relations are on the verge of rupture

The Russian Foreign Ministry said Monday that it had summoned the U.S. ambassador to warn that President Joe Biden's recent remarks have put Russian-American relations on the verge of rupture.

Biden last week described Russian President Vladimir Putin as a "war criminal" as Russia's missile attacks on Ukraine cities intensified. The Foreign Ministry, in a social media post, called the statement and other references to Putin and the Russian invasion "unworthy of a statesman of such high rank."

The ministry warned Ambassador John Sullivan that hostile actions taken against Russia would be met with a "decisive and firm rebuff."

The warning came hours after Ukraine firmly rejected a Russian offer to open two safe corridors out of Mariupol in exchange for the city's surrender as the relentless missile strikes on the battered seaport city stretched deeper into a fourth week.

Russian forces, facing stiff resistance against their invasion of Ukraine, have sought to gain control of cities but can claim few successes thus far. The Kremlin says its "special operation" is going as planned. But a senior Pentagon official, who spoke on condition of anonymity Monday, said Russian President Vladimir Putin has not achieved his goals and is relying on bombardment of cities in a “near-desperate” effort to gain momentum.

Mariupol, crucial for its access to the Sea of Azov, has been pounded by Russian artillery since the war began more than three weeks ago. Russian forces have been accused of bombing civilian shelters, and hundreds of thousands have recently fled the city.

Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk made it clear that Mariupol won't fall without a fight.

“There can be no talk of any surrender, laying down of arms," she told Ukrainian Pravda. "We have already informed the Russian side about this."

The New York Times Suddenly Discovers Hunter Biden Laptop and Corruption Investigations Are Real

If you are really industrious, you can dig 20 pages into the A section of today’s New York Times and find a 1,700-word news story by three of its top reporters, relating that the Justice Department’s investigation of President Biden’s son, Hunter, is not merely a tax matter. Turns out that prosecutors are probing his penchant for cashing in on his father’s political influence, through payments by overseas entities for which he did not register as a foreign agent.

Well, I’ll be damned!

Even better, if you wade 23 paragraphs into the story, you will learn that prosecutors are examining emails between Biden and his business associates that come from “a cache of files that appears to have come from a laptop abandoned by Mr. Biden in a Delaware repair shop.”

You don’t say.

You may recall that the laptop was reported on extensively by the New York Post because the emails showed that Hunter provided access to his father, then the vice president of the United States, for a corrupt Ukrainian energy firm that was paying Hunter goo-gobs of money to sit on its board — even though Hunter had no relevant experience. (See the Post’s reporting, e.g., here, and my column here; see also my column, here, on a digital recording in which Hunter discusses his lucrative dealings with executives of a regime-connected Chinese firm, one of whom –Patrick Ho — he refers to as “the f***ing spy chief of China,” and another of whom — Ye Jianming — he describes as a billionaire who “is now missing.”)

Yet, in the weeks prior to the 2020 election, the media-Democrat complex and its allies who run the big social-media platforms zealously suppressed coverage of the Hunter computer files, claiming they had not been authenticated and could be Russian disinformation (an absurd lie amplified by the Biden campaign). The Times was right there with them.

Spies Who Lie

51 ‘intelligence’ experts refuse to apologize for discrediting true Hunter Biden story.

They are the supposed nonpartisan group of top spies looking out for the best interest of the nation.

But the 51 former “intelligence” officials who cast doubt on The Post’s Hunter Biden laptop stories in a public letter really were just desperate to get Joe Biden elected president. And more than a year later, even after their Deep State sabotage has been shown again and again to be a lie, they refuse to own up to how they undermined an election.

The officials, including CNN pundit and professional fabricator James Clapper — a man who was nearly charged for perjury for lying to Congress — signed a letter saying that the laptop “has the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”

What proof did they have? By their own admission, none. “We do not know if the emails .?.?. are genuine or not,” the letter said. They’re just “suspicious.” Why? Because they hurt Biden’s campaign, that’s evidence enough.

Keep in mind this was written Oct. 19, 2020, five days after The Post published its first story. Neither Joe Biden nor Hunter Biden had denied the story, they simply deflected questions. Didn’t these security experts think that if this was disinformation, the Biden campaign would have yelled to the heavens that the story was false?

Embedded image from another site

Meanwhile, though the letter was advertised as being signed by people who worked “for presidents of both political parties,” a majority of the officials were Democrats.

Politico picked up the letter and ran the false headline “Hunter Biden story is Russian disinfo, dozens of former intel officials say.” That headline is still online today, even though the letter clearly says they don’t know if it’s Russian disinformation.

That headline was tweeted out by legions of Democrats, including current White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki, as proof that it was all a con. That tweet also is still up despite being proven false.

Thus pure speculation by a group of biased officials became gospel among the media. This was “fake news,” and could be safely ignored.

Keep in mind that Twitter already had banned The New York Post a few days before. The rationale was that this was “hacked materials,” even though it wasn’t — and Twitter had no evidence to think it was. A Facebook official, meanwhile, said it wasn’t going to allow the sharing of The Post’s story until it was “fact checked” by a third party — a check that never happened.

Thus, Big Tech, former government officials, and the media conspired together to bury a story.

No, not just bury — create a false narrative that flipped the script to make Joe Biden the victim of a conspiracy.

Russian soldiers surrendered to the Ukrainian military

Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.S. Oksana Markarova said Thursday that a platoon of Russian soldiers surrendered to the Ukrainian military, saying they "didn't know that they were brought to Ukraine to kill Ukrainians."

At a press briefing, Markarova said, “Just before I came here, we got information from our chief commander that one of the platoons of the 74th motorized brigade from Kemerovo Oblast surrendered.”

“They didn’t know that they were brought to Ukraine to kill Ukrainians. They thought they were doing something else there,” she added.

Markarova was unable to say how many troops were in the platoon and did not say whether they were being detained by Ukraine.

The ambassador called on leaders of the free world to form an “anti-Putin coalition” to stop Russia’s attack against Ukraine.

“Ukraine is defending our home. We will defend our home and it’s time for all free and democratic nations who value the principles and the territorial integrity and the right of any country for peace to stand together with us, but not only stand together with us, act together with us to stop the war in Europe,” said Markarova.

When asked if she expected U.S. troops to be sent into Ukraine, Markarova noted that her country is not a part of European or Atlantic security alliances such as NATO and said Ukraine does not expect any countries to fight on its behalf, though she said any help and peacekeeping operations would be welcome.
