OMG

I was thinking how much better life is these days compared with when I was younger. Things that used to be mildly pleasing are now awesome , and things that I once couldn’t even be sure warranted the slight raising of an eyebrow have become amazing. In the 70s it took something like a star man waiting in the sky to blow our minds; nowadays a bit of extra chocolate dust on top of frothy coffee is enough to do it. Then, just as now, people lusted after the finer things in life, such as expensive cars and houses, but unlike now the cars and houses back then weren’t worth dying for. Going even further back to my parents’ generation, to OMG was merely to invoke thoughts of one’s giddy aunt, now, no less than God would be adequate to express the sentiment.

Yeah, it's the simple things in life that turn me on Harb, these days. I'm not interested in material wealth. I pass on the plush houses and flashy sportscars thanks. Been there, done that....the superficial life not for me.

As long as my wee car can get me to where I wanna be, I'm delirious. Give me the tuis singing, the rain on the roof, clean crisp sheets on the bed and all that mushy stuff. I won't burble on. I 'm sure you get the gist.

Enjoy the now with what we have.

I'm so glad to hear you're not a material girl, Berry. I'm sure you're happier for it. wave
Har and Mimi, I think you have found the perfect greeting. Very classy handshake
Never been a materialistic woman cause I was raised with an emphasis on what was most important in life such as family and friends.
Good evening, molly, how nice to see you. handshake
Hi, BW, I think I already knew that about you. wave
You can't use that handshake with me. That's for yourself and Mimi.
Hi Harbal probably because I've posted it several times in the forums.wave
Molly, the reunion used to be for me and Mimi - what goes around comes around snooty

And the snooty used to be yours and I nicked it - teddybear

Map was always the hugging teddy, now his heart breaks when another uses it rolling on the floor laughing liar

We just need more emojis. Make it so.

I so want to reserve this one writing but suspect I will be stuck with this elephant

sigh
You got rid of Pat by stealing his teddybear

I choose to have no memory of you owning reunion

I can only use ones the ones on the first page anyway, unless I remember the name of the emoticon, like snooty
I'm very happy for anyone to talk about whatever they like, but, just for the record, this blog was supposed to be about the tendency, these days, of people to get a bit carried away with their expressions of approval or appreciation, eg. ‘oh my God, you've dyed your hair, that's amazing’. As opposed to the more appropriate, ‘that's a nice colour’.
What do you suggest as "our" emoji, molly? And please don't make me regret asking.
Har, are you sure you want to go there?

An shared emoji is a long term commitment, not just for Christmas.
Yes, molly, I'm in this for the long haul. But not santa santa waving reindeer christmas cool christmas sad christmas happy or dancingsanta
Okay Har, your choice.
I just felt it should be discussed before any commitment is made.
I believe in openness and honesty in any emoji relationships
I'll sleep on it, molly, maybe the right one will come to me in a dream. sleep
I'm glad you are taking your time, and giving it the serious thought it deserves.
