My opinion on opinions

One purpose of the blogs is to express your opinion. Quite a few just post videos or cut and paste articles; which is not so much expressing an opinion as just agreeing with someone else's. I think there is a case to be made that, if you are not capable of articulating your opinion yourself, then you are not really qualified to have an opinion that deserves sharing. scold

At least that's one thing I'll never be accused of dancing
I agree.

I am very opinionated. banana
Everyone is entitled to my opinion. grin
Harb, what's your opinion on boycotting blogs that have an unqualified opinion?
Some people do not have their own opinions, they only have those of others.
Glad to hear it, Z. thumbs up
Is that an opinion or a fact, LaFonda?
Yes, we know, Biff. hug
I find it very difficult not to give my opinion on unqualified opinions, chat, so boycotting them isn't usually an option for me.
I agree, molly, and I hope you don't mind me sharing your opinion. tip hat
Just this once tip hat
laugh laugh brilliant opinion Harbal but you know the saying it takes alsorts in the pot of cs rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
What difference is if you give an opinion , by agreeing with somebody else, or by having an own opinion with almost no experience or knowledge?
It is lazy, Bekard, that's one difference.
Hard-Ball,

there is no difference at all.....they are both lazy.....the first one go the easy way, by using others brain....... the other go the easy way, because of not making time to get knowledge.

But the one that uses others brain are sometimes much more smart, as he/she can still axecess the possible knowledge.
If I want to know someone's opinion, Bekard, I will seek it out, rather than having it presented to me by a third party who does not have the eloquence to express his own opinion.
I rarely offer my opinion since I rarely seek others'. On another site, I started posting videos and such as a mild form of protest.

The politics, religion, lazy cut & pastes and recycled slanted and often fake news posts made taking time to write something (usually satire) feel like painting a mural in a monkey house.

But as it pertains to opinion, one can only give it so many times before my eyes glaze over and I start to automatically dismiss it as boring and predictable.

I don't know squat about the people here but I can accurately predict what some will say about certain topics because they make it a point to make their opinion known time and time again, ad nauseam.
I figure that if someone wants to watch Youtube videos, BD, they will probably log onto Youtube rather than CS. dunno
I agree, Mr. Harbal. I also think that if people wanted news, they wouldn't seek it on a singles dating site blog page.

I get what you're getting at though, and at times the lack of accountability borders on irresponsible as well as being lazy.
Eh...just my opinion, of course.

BD, “posting videos and such as a mild form of protest” is something I would often do on another site’s message board. It didn’t accomplish much other than letting narrow-minded folks know I thought they were full of malarkey and as a result, getting put on ignore by some. I no longer post there. tongue talk to hand laugh

“Like painting a mural in a monkey house” Now that’s funny! rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

It is my opinion that you have a clever sense of humor, BD. grin thumbs up laugh
Much appreciated Dev but I'm very humble about my occasional and random flashes of brilliance and awe-inspiring wit.

As this is my blog, Davenita, any compliments regarding sense of humour or anything else should be directed at me, please. mumbling
Any comments on this blog about flashes of brilliance and awe-inspiring wit, BD, should be about my flashes of brilliance and awe-inspiring wit, not yours. mumbling
Mr Harbal, thank you for posting this original and thought-provoking piece of literary art. There are only a few things I've read that have dragged me through such a range of emotions and levels of ponderance.

This blog is right up there on the same plateau with The Magna Carta, War And Peace, and Green Eggs And Ham.

I salute you, Sir Habal.
cheers
In that case, BD, why don't you drop the formalities and just call me Harbal. When people say Mr. Harbal I can't help thinking they are referring to my late father.
Harbal it is!
handshake
Badly, may I say on this blog I'm afraid to go into yours and nothing could make me open that link? JMO. grin
My apologies, Harbal. I do agree with you that "one purpose of the blogs is to express your opinion" and I respect yours. grin
I'm not an unreasonable man, Davenita, I would never go so far as to expect anyone to respect my opinion, but the odd insincere compliment on my blog is not too much to ask, is it? dunno
the only opinions I do not like are ones that try to control another.
No danger of that with me, marlin, I can't even control myself.
I tried to find the youtube clip of Donald Trump expressing his opinion about creating belittling nicknames.

It's regrettable, in my opinion, that I am not able to find it and post it.
Is it possible that some people's opinions align with other's opinions...so they share? dunno
I'm currently making allowances for Bekard and his nicknaming, jac, he's having a spot of bother with me and seems to be under a little stress at the moment.
I work hard for my opinions, Johnny, and have no intention of sharing them with those that won't make an effort. That's lefty liberal thinking.
Okay, string, maybe sometimes Youtube videos are not such a bad thing.
Thankyou String, but it wasn't that one where Trump expressed his opinion about the function of name calling within the context of the political arena.
