The Tale of the little ones

Once upon a time:
There was a little bird, high up in the tree in the forest. She could see very well, and every now and again would notice this other tiny thing with even smaller wings than her. She was quite surprised one day when the little one spoke to her in her language, without speech. She said: 'I have some friends that need to be moved out of the forest. Will you please carry them there? They will easily fit on your back, and will hold on to your feathers, so as not to fall off.' And the little bird replied:

(If you want to, you can continue with the tale?)

'I cannot carry a lot of weight, but will gladly take them. Are you coming along too?' And the fairy replies: 'It will be 6 dwarfs, and they will not be heavy for you. The queen is very ill, and we have to look for a specific herb, that will assist in her getting better, and have heard that that herb can be found outside the forest, at the big river running there, next to the field. I cannot come along as I have certain remedies from the ancients, that I must mix for her, that was only passed to me, that is helping her along at present, but this herb required, is absolutely essential, and must be found a.s.a.p.'
(Come along and write your views of how you want the tale to go: This is a way of relaxing, by letting your mind go)
With the little bird safe in the forest, the team of six, now had a difficult time ahead to find the herb for the medical fairy, to make the potion, for the queen to improve in health hopefully.
They appoint the eldest dwarf as the leader, and the most verbal pixie, as the spokesman for when encountering every-day creatures, as they are not sure that these creatures will respond kindly when being spoken to without speech, and most are much larger than them. They cannot dare to split up as all will be needed to gather the herb, once found, that is.
Now how to find it:
You're making such a good job of telling the story, smiley, that I don't think anyone wants to interfere for fear of spoiling it. Please carry on. thumbs up
No-one knew where to find the herb, except that it was close to the big river. Now there are birds, lizards, ants, small insects, worms, you name it. They are all very dangerous for little ones. What will they need to defend themselves if attacked by any of them, and hurt or carried away? They are not magic little ones, as those are very scarce and are totally protected at their communal home, deep under the earth. They check their weapons and food supply. They will have to find some more berries quickly, to make tea with, else the rest should last them a week. They definitely don't want to become de-hydrated, but the water was luckily there aplenty. They can just dig a hole close to the river and the water will siphon through. Going close to the river will be only in dire need.
Thanks Harbal. I hope the story will entertain all, interested to read it?
I'm on the edge if my seat, smiley, waiting to find out what happens next. Keep going.
S a beautiful story.
With everything done and ready to begin their adventure, the team now have to start asking questions, from all the creatures by the river.
The ants had never even heard of a myth like that, and they are everywhere. The lizards they could not question, as it chased them, and they hid in a close hole, of which animal, they were too scared to even consider. Birds were everywhere seeing them as a nice snack, so in the hole they stayed, and started discussing the possible position of this elusive herb.
Rose (Dwarf Leader): It can be anywhere
Carnation: Under a rock
Hibiscus: In the shade of a tree
Gardenia: Between the grass
Daffodil: Coiling up a bush
Fifi (Spokesman): Yes, we have to not only find the herb, but it is at the head of the herb, that we will find the flower, and within the sacred pollen.
Tiny: Fifi and I. can always fly up, and check the bushes
Thanks Lindsy. I will try my best to keep the interest going!
Rose (Dwarf Leader): Ok, Carnation, you, Hibiscus and Gardenia search under the rocks. You can tunnel under. You have checked that you have your spades with you?
Carnation, Hibiscus & Gardenia (together): Yes our esteemed leader, we have all ready, to proceed.
Rose (Dwarf Leader): Daffodil, you Fifi and Tiny, search the tops of the bushes.
Daffodil, Fifi (Spokesman) & Tiny (together): It will take a while, and we're already tired from this heat. We haven't seen the sun for yonks.
By the end of day, everyone was down in the dumps. No progress what-so-ever. They had five days of food left. They had to have some brain-wave or the queen will not get any better soon. With the talk without speech, luckily they could not be detected, and could keep everything private.
Fifi suddenly had a brain-flash: What if the herb is not in the vicinity of the river, but in the river? Rose got very excited and said: But we can't swim, and the river is strong and very big, what can we do? Calming down, he said: We will have to brainstorm how to tackle this river issue? Let's sleep on it!
This is my First story, don't know what got into me yesterday, just generally at peace!

cheers
After a refreshing sleep, the team were set for the brain storming, after a scrumptious break-fast and fresh tea. Tiny, a very courageous pixie, although being the smallest of the group, had a stunning thought: When we came in with Minx, the little bird, I noticed an island further to the North, in the middle of the river. Since it is a herb with pollen that we have to collect, will it not then be on that island, as it cannot be under the river? Everybody burst out laughing! How can something that small have the fastest, most discerning brain of the team? Rose was the first to come to his senses and congratulated the littlest one for his insight. Yes said Rose, we will have to investigate this new idea closer. How far would you say the island is from here Tiny? And Tiny replies through tears, about a 2 day travel, as we can't expect Minx to come back, because it will take her two days just to get here, and we now have only 4 days in which to complete our mission. Rose looks with new respect at his smallest team member. Size obviously does not determine the brain capacity, and say to all: Pack up, we are leaving in an hour!
Smiley you are a very good story teller wave handshake
Thanks a lot Jenny.
I'm completely captivated, smiley. The very first thing I did on arriving home from work was to look if there was a new installment.
Lol Harbal. You just made my day! You're not serious, are you? You're always joking?
No, I'm not joking, I'm following the story very closely.
Thanks Harbal. I'll sleep on it tonight. You are very sweet!
