The real problem, as I see it, is that God has imbued "itself" into the American Psyche. Obviously, this goes back to the Founding Fathers, and the Mayflower. Since many people refuse to think for themselves, then there God remains (almost as a squatting tenant, in an otherwise empty house). It used to take a brave person to be an atheist in America; and in some ways, it takes a brave person, still....

However, believing in God is not a problem for those who choose to believe. And are you equally condescending and dismissive of non-Americans believers? Obviously God remains in the hearts of those who seek to live and love on a higher level than that which the natural self is capable of reaching.

Everything comes from within the self. All perceptions arise from it. Religious people may get upset by "rudeness" and "condescension" from non-believers; however more annoying still is the treatment Atheists (and other religions) mostly get from Christians; that is to say, other religions are missguided in their beliefs. Worst of all is the old routine that: Atheists are "poor souls who need saving" not intelligent people who have actively decided that there is no God (or certainly not one who is present in our Solar System)...

You make interesting points, yet (1) I didn't ask you if you thought you were being rude, and (2) I didn't make mention of your choices at all. I cannot subscribe to the concept of free will and condemn you for your choices. That's not what true Christians or spiritually evolved people do.

I asked you what you thought about non-American believers, as devout Chrstians and Catholics exist in every corner of the world.

self-made god(s) solved all the world's problems.What are they waiting for,
God to take directions from them.
