Whatt, not only a singer but an artist too?
Wonderful wine

I weld rust panels on cars and get some new sheet in.
Rusty, I should probably say.
Only, I tend to waste time fixing cars that is not worth the effort put in.
Yes lol....creatives usually have a broad spectrum of artistic talent.....not just one, but usually crafty in many ways. Been a visual artist for over 30 years and also singing onstage and off since I was 5 years old.

Welding is definitely a craft.....I have a few friends that love to weld....and one of which actually welds sculptures too. It does take skill so kudos to you hug wine
hey, if you can bring rebirth to the car, it's worth it no? Even if not, it's good practice
Was thking about making them sculptures out of carparts.
Rods and gears make up much of what you need. Springs qand dampers too :)
Only be careful not to weld a gas damper, or else the word shock get's a new meaning wow laugh

So is that fella there a self portrait in a way?
Sure (about the cars). Dream is to fix cadillacs.
Here is the last one for now, and after it's is up and running I'll bail out for now.
Restart when I have my own garage, can't afford to rent one at the moment.

Impressive. I like your painting/mural very much. A very talented woman you are.
Hey, Red. I know a lot of restaurants who’d love your work on display inside them if they could afford it.
Thank ya dear, you're sweet kiss I'm sure you have some hobbies you can share conversing hug
Yes, galrads, thanks! I do that sort of thing. I have several pieces that are displayed in a place here in Connecticut called The Cosmic Omelet. It's a dinette paired with an art gallery that's a part of the building people go to when they're done or while waiting for their food. It's a fun place cheering wine
Here's the thing. How do you become a painter? Can u really become a painter? I can't draw a line and I've always been that way. Could someone as bad as me, for example, learn this skill/art?
Very nice... thumbs up

Good enough to make it a full-time gig!
Thank you, teacher. <3 <3
Absolutely! I mean....what I do started when I was very young....my mother was very talented and so isn't my sister ...and my son and daughter...so it's a thing in our family. However, I could teach you different techniques and it would bring out skills in you that you never thought you had lol....trust me on that, it's doable. thumbs up
I remember a kid in class. We must have been 5 or 6 yo. He could always draw 10x better than anybody else in class. Sheer talent. He's an artist today. I bet like you, he was born that way.
Actually now that my kids are grown adults, I've finally left the corporate world and started on it full time. Guess you could say I'm semi retired lol Thank you! wine
I bet the key is the ability to absorb visual details others might/may leave out when they look at a scene but that's just my impression.
It's possible that he was....but I've also known amazing artists that never picked up a paint brush their entire life and then, next thing ya know, in their 60's wanted to start a hobby and painted their first painting and I'm like...I spent an entire lifetime perfecting my skills and this person does it at first shot a lifetime later. Or those that know nothing at all artistically, go to school for it and learn so much in a short time, skills that took me years. It's very individual....unique talents. kiss
That's the thing about art.....and everyone sees it differently. Just as in different forms of art. It's all in the eye of the beholder, ...excuse the cliche
Wow your talented
It's my route to happiness laugh handshake
A bit like our Skagen painters of the late 1800's (evening light on a beach)
with a touch of Salvador Dalí
I will have to look into it....I do enjoy checking out old fine arts from all over the world. Just to see inside the mind of artists of long ago hmmm

ahh...ok, I'm familiar with the work on the bottom....absolutely love it thumbs up ....the top is more realism...that, I still have to work on lol
Dali is more famous and highly priced.
You go down that route now hun! cheers

I like your work.
Go further :)
Dali is more my style, I think.....the realism of the former is still a bit of a challenge for me. So I just continue to do what I do. Many years ago, I used to give away paintings because I would run out of room, I'd have so many. And then I figured, Ok....I could sell the paintings for a small amount so I can minimize the clutter and earn a little back....ehh a hobby that pays for itself, so to speak....the money went to supplies. Then the more I sold, the more people started commissioning ....I was told that I asked too little for the paintings so, I started upping the prices a bit....and still, I was told I was asking too little...and this by other artists and studio execs....so over time, prices, value went up. Now I still sell paintings, first would be local...then I was shipping out of state, as my friends and family scattered in different places...then word of mouth, ya know....and most recent travels to oklahoma, florida and new mexico kinda expanded that a bit...also a few paintings had shipped out the country. So this has been a long road over many years.....it's finally good, though, to put 100% focus on it now that the kiddies are adults. grin
Nice. I'll pm.you.

Have you heard this nice tune

lol pm me? dunno you can say here conversing ....can't say I've ever heard it, I'll give it a go, I suppose. wine
