Things that make me smile...
I constantly look around me to find things that I can be greatful for... in this crazy world that is anything but perfect or wonderfull I suppose you can say that I make an effort to find little things all the time to smile about in the hopes that I might stay sane
Here is my little list of gratitudes:
* When I can look in the mirror and feel that the effort I have made is paying off.. just to like myself a bit more, even if it is just my outfit that looks great, or my skin that has improved or if I can see that I am losing weight... or if my new mascara gives great results.
* Coffee, I simply cannot kick the habit, I just love it... I like the aroma of freshly ground coffee too, it lifts my spirits
When my Mum makes me some coffee when I am visiting, that is nice... I am sure she made it with love too
Now I just need to find a special man who won't mind making me a cup from time to time * nothing to do on a rainy day but curl up and snooze under a cozy blanket, read a book or visit with friends on CS...
* not having to punch a timeclock anymore...
* seeing someone do something kind for someone else... Wow! this always warms my heart...
* having some money or knowing that a bit of money will be coming to me soon...
* sweet smiles, hugs and kisses from my children...
* reading blogs, I love being a fly inside peoples heads, each & every one is unique & gifted... I am happy that I feel connected a bit more with bloggers and appreciate my CS friends...
* having a holiday to look forward to, and the company of somebody that is very special to me...
* harvesting fresh vegetables from the greehouse, so cool, no need to shop for some of the fresh produce needed to put a salad together, my hard work is paying off...
* My cats, just feeding them or stroking them is therapeutic, I like to see how lazy and comfortable they are in my house... I am so pleased for the company that I have, without them I would be completely alone...
Well my list is long, sorry...
I think I could go on and on but would like very much if you would list some things that you are greatful for instead... is there anything that makes you smile ?

I often make spelling mistakes, but I think blogging helps to improve writing skills, spelling, grammar etc.
Anyway we don't need spelling cops, as long as we express feelings and get messages accross, the odd typo or spelling mistake should be insignificant...

My ginger cat Nick, sounds like he is laughing in his sleep and purrs the loudest I have heard any cat purr
I am still babysitting my friends Cat and CheWoW WoW...I think I own them now ..
something else that I do for my own enjoyment is: I have started attracting birds to the garden, I have bird seed in feeders, also apples and a constant supply of water... I am hoping that gradually the birds will return to feed in this beautiful tree and chatter away again someday as they did before... when the previous tennants were feeding them.

I patted Coco for you and she Meooowed ! Nick less vocal, but looked at up at me with his cute face very lovingly...most appreciated, thank you...

Well I have heard different calls when birds see danger, but my cats won't hang around the tree all day... I hope
They are certainly a lazy pair of kitties and choose mostly to sleep in the house all day...
The worst enemy we have for self image is our own negative thoughts...

Emails from friends.
Itchy, if you have people around you telling you that you are not wonderful, you need to surround yourself with other people who are not so negative. One should not judge others and should never go out of their way to make others feel bad. It really is an insecurity issue they are battling themselves......in my opinion!

I think we all have had moments when we certainly don't appreciate things and we take them for granted too.
All I know is that I would like to be happy rather than sad

I like the smell of rum and maple pipe tobacco and cherry stone cigars, but I don't smoke it
the smell of canvas (tent) is another strange smell that gives me good feelings.
