COMMUNICATION
Years and years ago other than face to face communication
the only way we could communicate was via a hand written letter,
this was concidered a reality.
Then came the phone (no phone emoticon)
as a way of communicating, this also was concidered a reality. Now thru progress we have the internet
as a form of communicating, yet this is not concidered by many as a reality. WHY,
The chances of a meeting in person face to face maybe slim, but it is a form or reality communicating via the net.
Just as it was hand writing a letter or making a phone call or even txting,
just as they are all real so is the internet.I am outstounded that there are so many ppl in cyber land that refuse to accept this is now reality. real ppl typing, real ppl sending msg's, real ppl blogging, It is no less real than all other forms of communicating.
Of course words are words, but words have meanings, just as we use emoticons to express a thought
we sometimes use words as a way of flirting, 
being frustrated 
trying to show our smarts 
or just by trying to be funny 
and having a good time 
If we all accepted this, then better friendships could be made and better understandings could be reached, why not allow a stranger on the net into your life by way of emails, flowers or whatever?, It just may enhance your life and give you an extra friendship that may just be missing from your life.
We are real, all of us, we communicate thru cyber space, lets celebrate
that, instead of turning our back 
on possible friendships.You dont learn the meaning of FRIENDSHIP in School, but if you dont understand the meaning of FRIENDSHIP by now, then you have learnt nothing.

my best best friend is an irish i met on net before 2,5 years . we have never met face to face , but i really do consider him as my best friend. dont get me wrong about what i said before about aussies , but the ones i know r good ladds , but not much of deep thinkers , if i may say so lol
It was actually ur blog Birth of a topic) that got me thinking of this topic.
I can not understand ppl who say they are only on here to escape real life?
why are they escaping and surely, this is real life, so were r they escaping to?
Others say i am here to waste some time of day, it has been a boring day, they say,....
So they come to Cyber land to make their day less boring, why, cause it is real....and that they r scared to admit this.
NOT everyone mind, but certianly a large number of ppl think and treat this as if it was not real.....
And congrats to u for knowing the real meaning of FRIENDSHIP...
yes i think a lot of ppl here r cool, and yes some of my better friends r greek also.
In fact i have a greek Brother-in-law and he is a wonderful man.
i will tell u the secret .
greeks r from a very old civilization , not really westerns , but somehow in the middle. sso its esy for us to comm with any kind of ppl.simmo , i am sure will know some greekaustrlians and i would love to hear his opinion.
i grew up in an era when greeks and italians were migrating to Australia.
They came here not knowing what to expect, but they worked hard and long, and were friendly ppl. It is with the help of those migrants, that has made Australia the strong and lucky country that we are.
Heres to your fathers, brothers, uncles, friends and anyone else that has helped shape this great country i call home.
ur trees and animals and ur ppl too.i am gald some of us helped to build a great nation.
Love, respect, your family, and the family consists of brothers, sisters, aunties, uncles, cousins, mum and dad and of course grand parents.
I used to love when my greek b-i-law had a family BBQ,
there was always about 50 ppl there.
This is rality at its best....

She married a greek boy about 15 years ago, her father is my greek b-i-law.
She tells me of the pain and suffering from there, but also tells me of the strong family bonds.....
