can we ever be in real love ?

can we ever be in real love with others?(at least with our so called soul mates)? not being so, in word or in action, but by being in complete union with other person, to the extent of totally losing ourselves. if we can't, why so, and what is it that stops us from being so? if we can, can it happen with particular persons whom we like, or with any one? answers to these questions, provides us with reasons for our searches.

I believe we can. But it takes time and patience from both sides. A virtue that not many have left in these hectic times where everything has to happen fast. Time is money.
