Old Fashioned Romance
Having read some of the recent posts on the forums wherein certain men have expressed their disillusionment with their efforts to be courteous and helpful to women, I have to wonder truly how broad that experience is and how it also relates to the lack of romance that seems to be prevalent (or at least portrayed on here many a times).I know for myself that I long for that old fashioned type of romance ... and it also makes me wonder how to be more expressive in the small things that are noticed when they are done so that they are repeated.
Someone scoffs and says that we've read too many romance novels - but when you think of it does it not also indicate that there are some inner desires being expressed within those stories that strikes a chord within women in general?
Romance to my idea comes in the simplest of forms - a lingering touch, a whispered word, a thoughtful expression or note ..... we all have different ways that we perceive it though, so maybe paying more attention to each other is part of the key to understanding and expression.
