Dress Shopping

Just last week I experienced my first moment of trying on a wedding dress! I have to admit that I was feeling excited and a little confused at the vast amount of styles and selections that are available. I've done some research "online" and had a few ideas of what would suit my body type so off I went to search and try on in person. Gulp.

I decided to go to a little local shop in town, and was surprised that they had so many styles to choice from considering the size of the shop. The clerk let me look around and "clip" the ones I wanted to try on, and at first I thought maybe it would take a bit to find even one that caught my eye, but low and behold within a few short minutes all those clips were gone! lol

As I write these words out, I can feel the emotions and thoughts that are bringing me back to those moments of discovering what I like and its amazing how the "small details" are what capture our attention.

I don't want to go into great details for indeed I do want my choice to be a surprise, but what I'm realizing is that what I thought wasn't too important is suddenly just that. Its the small details in life that we need to celebrate for the memories that are created last a lifetime. I think of the words that I want to say to the man I love at the alter .... small words that are spoken in a fleeting moment of time, but that will last forever as they are carried forwarded into actions and love.

He told me that he wants to be the man that will kneel before me everyday to ask me to marry him ....... I want to be that woman who he will desire to even ask to marry him. May we both we worthy of being asked/answering and forgive each other moment by moment as we live each day out together.
