The worst day of my life.

This is the worst day of my life. For about the last three months I have had a spider living in the corner of my bathroom. It has spun a web and caught many insects in that time. It was a beautiful insect that God created and allowed to be a part of my life. ...saving me from having to deal with the other more pesky insects.
As I was using the restroom this evening, I noticed something quite different. The dear spider had two eggs inside its web. I immediately thought about the consequences of having hundreds of baby spiders inside of my home, and without further thought, destroyed this spider, its web, and of course, its eggs.
Why would I do such a thing? This beautiful creature that God blessed me with, to save me from things much worse and make my life much more comfortable, was about to multiply. ...
Why would I want less of a good thing? I should have welcomed the flock of the beautiful mother. ...because God created this wonderful spider to help me, and because it was Gods creation, their children are INHERENTLY GOOD. ......Just like you and me. We are inherently good because we ARE Gods children, and therefore, we also, ARE inherently good as well.....
Well everyone except me.....I just killed a family.

That is why this is the worst day of my life.

I get Daddy Long Leg spiders all the time. They seem to procreate too but very limited. I had a large one above my little pantry cabinet and the big on has disappeared and in it's place is a small one.

I think your spiders probably would have scattered so the only one left would have been momma or a baby. I'm sure nature won't miss it because there are tons and tons of spiders all around you!
We sometimes make bad decisions.
It's ok, next time you know better what to do. comfort
scold Candykid. . . " Dont worry! you was just defending your life. God gave that spider, a life too! " Oh well. . . . sad flower
Repent and move on, honey. Lesson learned....conversing
comfort now now .. let me give you a hug hug grin
this could not be the worst day in ur life?
roll eyes You must have led a sheltered life.
Yes, you are a mindless killer who kills unnecessarily.

What you forgot is while there were 100s of thousands of baby spiders inside those egg cases, God designed them so that to get out they must first eat everything else in the egg case, then eat out of the egg case (sharks often have a similar system except instead of an egg case they are inside momma so they chew their way out of momma. Sometimes they go in the wrong direction and momma dies). The result is only a relative few spiders, a few 100 perhaps come out of the nest. Momma spiders usually eat any babies that don't quickly leave her web. This cuts it down to a few dozen and at the same time the kids go off to college leaving momma free to do it all again. Second, cats like eating spiders (at least all 4 of mine do). You should get a cat. They say spiders are more fun than crickets because they have more legs to pull off and chew. And they taste good to cats too.
Well here we are over 5 years later, and I see that most are still here blogging their lifes away. I cannot judge one way or the other, but jeez....purple heart
Wow!! Has it been 5 years already? wow

Hi Candykid wave

You might not remember me but just wanna drop by and say hello wave
hey kidwave

lady O roll eyes
are you still in touch with her? I think of her often and a lot lately.... how is she?
I sure do remember you Mimi....you were one of the members that I considered well traveled at the time. I cannot recall every place that you had lived and visited, but I do recall Malaysia, India, Singapore, Indonesia....I remember some really good recipes that you used to post.....I am so happy that you are a success story on this website.....it is truly rare mathematically.....purple heart
Itchy......I cannot begin to describe how beautiful and amazing Lady O was and still is. She is an elusive woman that is highly intelligent......I therefore leave her be. I was fortunate enough to get a closer glimpse into the side of her more personal life for a short time through a different format, however that glimpse was very limited. I am comforted in the knowledge of those closest to her that she is doing just fine....Thank you for your inquiry. thumbs up
kid, so ye lost touch as so many cyber people do....
such is life, so is here.

Nice to hear though she is well and doing alright, in poets corner she was my favourite lady poet, loved reading her but as the blogger Titania, I became most fond of her.

A very special and wonderful lady, reasons why I miss her still.

Thanks kid for replying wine
Thank you, Candykid applause

I think there’s a lot more success stories on CS that we’d never get to find out coz they’re not the blogs/forums.

Well, nice to see you back on the blogs again wine
