This is good news
yet somehow I lost faith in "Good intentions of the pharmaceutical industry"
I'm with Bob on this, knowing how to cure it & the drug companies coming up with pills are two different things these days IMO moping wave
Maybe too early to be optimist, but good news nonetheless.
Now, is the treatment going to be affordable to common folks?
I wonder what is the portion of this research was financed by donations and government grants and how the pharmaceutical companies are going to justify the high price. cheers
The treatment is a bone marrow transplant.
A long hard procedure and not suitable for people in a weak state.
And I would doubt it to be Cheap.

Like Zman and Dedovix say. The Drug companies control the board at the moment and maybe the defective gene was a time buyer so they could have time to cash in..

NHBob I was thinking the same Blasphemous thought myself
laugh
FInally some good news for today! Thanks for sharing non handshake
How many times ive heard these things and then the reality, imagine being a sufferer and another kick in the guts.
here, some bad news also "98 million Americans were given polio vaccine contaminated with cancer-causing virus, admits CDC " - check the post from Adalstef

"Many authorities now admit much, possibly most, of the world's cancers came from the Salk and Sabin polio vaccines, and hepatitis B vaccines, produced in monkeys and chimps," adds RealFarmacy.com. "It is said (that) mesothelioma is a result of asbestos exposure, but research reveals that 50 percent of the current mesotheliomas being treated no longer occur due to asbestos but rather the SV40 virus contained in polio vaccination."

so, as you see, trade off... nothing new!!
applause applause applause applause Congratulations!!!
