.....Understanding Bloggers.....

Why do some of the bloggers here on CS post blogs however they don't allow comments, why bother posting them at allconfused confused at one time these members allowed comments, but now have chosen to disable them, are they afraid of criticism from other membersdunno dunno

Comments (24)

It's obvious because the option is there to allow or not.

Maybe they've decided that not all blogs needs commented to.doh

I have a question: Why is it someone's business what other bloggers chose to do with their blogs?grin
Hmmmm dunno i am innocent uh oh roll eyes wow maybe ... teddybear
@cmiyer, how was it a year ago? dunno
because its their blog and they have a right to allow comments or not, why would that feature be available then, sometimes people just need to express what they want, i think thats better than making a blog and never replying on comments
I think they just want to put their thots down yet dont need a 2nd opinion. Anyways, its all fine with me.dont get too hung up about it. To each his own... danny boy.

Hi Daniel, handshake

Sometime it is a message to a particular person or to prevent someone to stir the pot.

No Biggy. cheers
Totally agree with Delahandshake
it is only an option not to allow comments...and yes, some people like sacrificing others to gain popularity in the past... and the bullied usually defended themselves by making such blogs...
Dela & Luke- I absolutely agree with you, this is what I thought of before posting itthumbs up thumbs up

Cyn- Thanks for commentingwink wink
I agree with Dela if it is only for a particular person then no point in inviting comments
hi there miss india.......cheers

good comment....thumbs up
There is a difference between blogs and forums
blogs are more of a informative character while forums allow us to have a exchange of opinion
even so, I don`t really see the point in which you state your opinion without leaving the possibility for people to voice out theirs
India & Dedovix- Thanks for your commentsthumbs up thumbs up
I think its self explanatory, if a blogger doesnt allow comments they are making a statement not starting a discussion and do not want others to disagree with them.
I always figure they are they aren't open to critique/don't want anyone to challenge them and think only their opinion matters and no one else's. Also like others have said, it's a message to a certain person so comments aren't wanted.

For a while there were a lot of religious blogs like that and it seemed they were trying to push their religion but I just never read them. yawn

If I find a blogger constantly doesn't allow comments, I stop reading their blogs. What's the point of reading when you can never comment? I think some people get frustrated when after reading the blog they want to comment but can't.

god point !
I believe, just like in real life, some people dont like and are afraid of criticism. any kind.

I see it, here in CS, as some CS members are bloggers - and they understand the idea of communication; and a few are "posters"..

but, hey..life is real. good alert

cheers
Glatlol, Music, Bogart- Your comments all make very good sense
Thanks for commentinghandshake handshake
In retrospect i wish i would have disabled comments on a few blog posts. Sometimes its hard for people to relate to what you are saying, whether it is a language barrier or just not being able to understand. Rather than have to explain over and over again or subjugate ones self to scrutiny of their peers; i think they just choose to decline that option.
sometimes GoDaniel they just need to express them self, sometimes at some subjects that is sensitive to them. Some dont like criticism, some dont like other people nosing their business, they just need to express thats all.teddybear
Interesting question, Daniel. They could write a diary and self express that way.
Mr. Fixes, Kasih, Abagail- Thanks for sharing your comments
