While the concept of time is often difficult to grasp, it must be extremely frustrating for some people to come to grips with the idea of a time without time. According to the Bible: "In the beginning (time) God created the heavens (space) and the earth (matter)" (Genesis 1:1).

God is the First Cause, of everything that exist. He is self-existent, timeless, nonspatial, and immaterial. Since the First Cause created time, space, and matter, the First Cause must be outside of time, space, and matter. In other words, He is without limits and is infinite.

Time began with creation (Genesis 1:1). Before creation, time did not exist. The world did not begin by a creation in time but a creation of time. You may be thinking, if there was no time before time began, what was there? The answer is, eternity. God is eternal, and the only thing prior to time was eternity. God bless!

Merriam Webster dictionary defines "eternity" as "time without an end". Collins dictionary defines it as "endless or infinite time". So how can eternity be before time when it is constituted of time?
