Scriptural reference to Gods love for man

The LORD watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his unfailing love. We depend on the LORD alone to save us. Only he can help us, protecting us like a shield.
Psalm 33:18, 20
"I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself."
Jeremiah 31:1
Many sorrows come to the wicked, but unfailing love surrounds those who trust the LORD . So rejoice in the LORD and be glad, all you who obey him! Shout for joy, all you whose hearts are pure!
Psalm 32:10-11
The Word became human and lived here on earth among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the only Son of the Father.
John 1:14
"God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it."
John 3:16-17
We know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. And since we have been made right in God's sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God's judgment. For since we were restored to friendship with God by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be delivered from eternal punishment by his life. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God -- all because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done for us in making us friends of God.
Romans 5:5, 8-11
We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love him and are called by him.
Romans 8:28
God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so very much, that even while we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's special favor that you have been saved!) For he raised us from the dead along with Christ, and we are seated with him in the heavenly realms -- all because we are one with Christ Jesus. And so God can always point to us as examples of the incredible wealth of his favor and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us through Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:4-7
May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
Ephesians 3:19
Anyone who does not love does not know God -- for God is love.
God showed how much he loved us by sending his only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love. It is not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love has been brought to full expression through us.
And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us.
1 John 4:8-13

Thank you! handshake

Thank you my sister in Christ!

In my rising and nigh time prayers i always ask the Lord to rid the world of war and hate! Nothing is too big for Him!

Good blog!!
So Ed how come he hasnt managed it yet?
Say it like you mean it EDrolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
Lol ah ed you know how I feel about people wasting their time on me. Whats make you think I havent read the bible? How else do you think I know its a work of fiction.

Well done on avoiding answering the question.
Ed, I will pray for her....conversing
If you want to waste your time Cal then go ahead, no skin off my nose.
I love the way this starts, The LORD watches over those who FEAR him. Then blah blah blah love.
Sounds just like an abusive relationship.
Therefore I ask how many of you who believe would sacrifice your child if asked by God?
We would be appalled at a parent who said they reared their children with fear yet its ok for god?
And dont get me started on so called christians spouting the bible yet not actually living what they preach, divorce anyone???
Hey, Ed count me in on those prayers from Glatlol.

Glatlol, it's our time to 'waste' and although you don't understand it, we will do so anyway.

By the way, Glatlol, where is your proof that God is not real and that Jesus did not suffer painfully to save us?
wave How does one prove something is NOT real? Like a Unicorn.
Calli!

Yes Ma'am! You hit the nail on the head. And the other guy too!
Calm!!

Well said.
Chame1eon!

Right on girl. And let's include Raven too. I love praying for people and showing the excellence of the Lord and Master to those that don't know the truth.

Waste of time? Hah! just the exact opposite. Love and patience for the unbelievers is my passion!
laugh I do believe now that God works in mysterious ways. Just take the blogs of Sharnah for a good example. Now there is even a prayer group formed. Mysterious ways indeed. cheering
Load of clap trap calm, considering you live in an unknown area. Your just using the old trick of changing words to suit the circumstances.
Believers live in fear of going to hell if they don't subjectively obey God. FEAR FULL STOP.
Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

To Glatlol & Mrwilling...
you want to get - "this day, daily bread, forgivness, protection aginst evil",,, but you reject God laugh

What you need is modesty and respect dear Glatlol & Mrwilling. Something we have learnt from being Christians.

Anyway God Bless you sister for your blog.
hug
Im neither a believer nor a non-believier.I sorta believe in God but not the God that sharnah does describe.I was taught about a God of love though with some things that happen i do have to question sometimes if God really exists.I think we should respect each others beliefs though. If i ask sharnah a question on her blog about her beliefs im asking because im genuinely interested in her answer and not because im trying to put her down.Ive never read the bible but to me , some of what she posts shows God as someone to be afraid of.Someone who,if you dont follow blindly will strike you down and class you as a sinner.Thats the part ive a problem with as i was taught different.hug
Hello Sharnah.

"No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love has been brought to full expression through us."

May I ask you a sinple question: As no one has ever seen "God",
how can one determine what gender this "entity" is? And also, what does it look like?
dunno dunno dunno
Ohhhhh Snap. And just another brilliant valid point by Minerva.
While you are down on your knees, love me, worship me, above all else, FEAR ME, for I am LOVE.
If for example, you were in a relationship with someone you love, would you fear them as well? Oh don't tell me, unless you are guaranteed a spot in Heaven right?

Did you have an extra bowl of stupid this morning?
yay
Why waste my time typing when I can merely post a vid which expresses my thoughts way better than I can.

BTW, I don't fear your "god" like I don't fear Donald Duck or any other fictional character. Unlike you, I'm free.

Very good clip...and it says it all...wine
Nice, MrWilling. I was just trying to answer your post about fear. As for living in an unknown area, as some other CS members also have on their profiles, there is a reason for that. And I don't have to explain it as its private - having to do with not being found.
Where is Sharnah?dunno dunno

I am still waiting for answers to my questions?

Maybe she is meditating, or still looking for an appropriate quote...dunno dunno dunno
minerva
Don't know but the time difference could be the problem...hope things are well with you!!wine
fleur and all the Christian brothers and sisters!

First of all, thanks for the Lord's Prayer. Magnificent, holy and a perfect example of us speaking to the Creator.

I know this is sister Sharnah's blog but I am sure she won't mind if I say this. Welcome to the skeptics and unbelievers. It is God's plan for you to hear and for us not to argue with you. But as sister Sharnah said, "to love you as a creation of the mighty Creator".

All praise and credit goes to God Almighty! Amen!!
Hello sister Sharnah!

Very nice blog! Only when we have a godly fear (reverence) for who God is, will we understand and appreciate His love for us. Jesus said... "Greater love has no one than this: that he lay down his life for his friends (John 15:13)." This what Jesus did for us on the cross, when saved us from God's wrath, so that guilty sinners can be declared righteous, on the basis of faith alone in Jesus Christ alone.

God bless!thumbs up teddybear
GooD evening to all my brothers and sisters in Christ and all those who are still on the road to become spiritual family. Thank you for eveybodies comment on here it is important to me and I'm sure to God as well...and I agree a prayer group is just what we need..thumbs up God has been good to us and He has even taken away the fear of many who would not even comment about the Lord Jesus Christ...God is good amen.dancing
Minerva my apologies for only responding now..my ministry is not just online..so I have to be at many places...to answer about fear "its a fear that keeps you from wanting to do the wrong things because you love God to hurt him...when all you think about is how can I please God and show Him how much I love Him"
Hi Sharnah. Apologies accepted.
I realize that you must be a busy person..as we all.wave

You still haven´t answered my questions though and I - as well as others on this blog - are waiting for your answers with YOUR original thought.teddybear
Chameleon, proof that god is not real? Commonsense of course and the ability to think for myself and recognise fiction when I read it.

Fleur, what nonsense are you spouting? Anything I want I can get for myself, dont need an imaginery character to do it.
Easter is getting nearer, so let's celebrate the questions that never get answered. wine
"Fleur, what nonsense are you spouting? Anything I want I can get for myself, dont need an imaginery character to do it."

If it so Glatlol, get for yourself modesty and respect to people and their opinions or beliefs. You are just annoying with your comments.
grin
fleur, how about you read what you said to Glatol and think about what you stated. A bit of a hypocrite really. You said, "respect to people and their opinions or beliefs." Glatol is honest enough to share her beliefs and opinions, and yet you tried to knock her down with your words. Quite annoying really. scold
I think we all have our opinions that can be quite strong and some may lack diplomacy or grace in their words...just a thought...
Minerva I have tried to explain it n the simplest forms already to you what the fear of God is but here goes another try..to have the fear of God is to reespect and reverence Him...acknowledging who He is...and where the inherent sins arte cocerned this is what the word of God says Deuteronomy 24:16) - "Fathers shall not be put to death for their sons, nor shall sons be put to death for their fathers; everyone shall be put to death for his own sin." So that means you are responsible for your own sins.
God is perfect in all His ways and when he created us we were perfectly created without a flaw. Through choices made by man sin entered the world..but even though man sinned God had a plan to bring us back to Him and that's through His son Jesus Christ.
