happy or peaceful....
~ I see my daughter excited when she opened her b'day gift and she loved it....I am happy~ I watched my cat, Gina, sleep so deep... I feel peaceful
~ I could get and buy anything I wanted.... I am happy
~ my ex anytime could take my daughter away from me... I feel not peaceful
Those are example of some cases for me. I wonder....
What is in what?
Happiness IS IN peacefulness or vise versa?
why people more talking about wanting to be happy but rare saying wanting to be in peace? is it because "to be in peace = RIP" ?

Peace is achieved when an individual's different elements are in harmony with each other, when one is aware of her own emotions, thoughts, and behaviors and has found a way of balancing them. It occurs when the person feels and accepts her identity and then moves beyond it, This is a very personal experience, which can only be realized through a person's knowledge of self and the components of her identity
Happiness
Finally, happiness is an emotional state defined as a feeling of satisfaction. happiness can also be defined as peace in its purest form. A true state of happiness is again a personal matter and can be different for different people. One's happiness may be another's sorrow
My mom left me with my maternal grandparents when I was just a few months old. Grandparents were not exactly rich but we were comfortable. I remember my late grandpa taking me everywhere. He would go to the local coffee shop twice a day. Would happily tagged along.
I would have a bit of his coffee ( I know, drinking coffee at that young age!! ) or tea. Grandpa would pour some of it on his saucer, the hot beverage would cool down faster that way. Also, it was easier for me to slowly sip it from a saucer while holding it on both sides with my small hands!

One may feel happy if one has a pleasant experience, including a pleasant thought such as contained in your statement that you can get and buy any thing you wanted. However, such happiness may not be long lasting.
Peace of mind goes deeper. In fact, being able to maintain a state of peacefulness (or peace of mind), even in adverse circumstances, may help one to cope with a situation that may normally tend to make one "not happy" or unhappy.
As I said, this is just my opinion.
