I AM JUSTIFYING MYSELF...
Why I am supporting my president on death penalty to the drug dealer....?Here is my view for those who is busy in criticizing my decision :
1. Indonesia is a rich country naturally. With 300 million population, it is good market for the drug dealer better than China and India even China or India has bigger population number.
2. Geographically, since Indonesia has more than 130.000 Islands, it is easier for the drug dealer to enter the country from many directions to smuggle the drug as Indonesia doesn’t have enough army and police to cover the entire country. While India and China are having 1 big main island and small island here and there.
3. We learn from the case of illegal fishing problem (Illegal fishermen from foreign countries who fishing illegally (steal our fist) in Indonesia sea territory) caused Indonesia lost USD 25 Billion every year. We have policy to bombing every single illegal ship that enter our ocean territory illegally and put the fishermen (most of them don’t even know that their ship is illegal) in jail. The purpose of it is to give the deterrent effect to other and to make them think 100x before they do stealing fishes in our ocean.
4. My personal experience when a smuggler hit the head of Amorthep using a big axe with cold blood (we were just 19 years old) and she could lost her life if we were late to find her. Thanks that the police arrested him. We met in the court and he did and beg mercy from the judge with poor face for not having long period of penalty and he got 3 years in jail. 3 years later he again did worse criminal and even killed the victim. The court sent him to death penalty as he killed planned with cold blood and cruel…
So, sad story about the dealer doesn't work for me. Every criminal will show their poor face to the world, especially the drug dealer. They spread the sympathy for not having death penalty but is there ANYBODY can guarantee that they would STOP the business? Can the government of their country of origin could guarantee that his citizens would never come back to sell drug in Indonesia? What kind of punishment they would give to the drug dealer if Indonesia agree to have extradition policy with them?
5. Putting them in jail (alive) is not stopping them in doing drug business EVEN from inside the jail. Silvester Obiekwe (foreigner), Fredy are 2 of those king of drug dealer who operate the drug distribution from inside the jail…. Not to mention how many people they kill in the operational of drug distribution. JAIL DOESN’T STOP THEM !!!
6. The fact that only with 5 gr of drug could kill one man, how many men would be killed when 1 dealer smuggling over 10 kgs and please have a look this article if you want to know how much drug they smuggle to Indonesia.

7. Death Penalty is necessary for Indonesia to give the deterrent effect to other foreigner as well as local drug dealers. As long as we keep this death penalty policy, we expect they erase Indonesia as their market.
8. Please see this picture and imagine if she is your daughter, sister, friend, good friend, niece, grand daughter, neighbor... will you say " please do not give death penalty to the people who has succeeded supplying drug to her...." ?
I hope my justification would make you understand why I am in my position with my president to keep the death penalty for drug dealer.

abt dealer of drug to be executed... I stand with you, no doubt !!
It is so sad what drugs do to people. It destroy lives! And some people do make it out of it. And congrats to those that do. And hope for the other ones to make it out of it!
There is drug problems in many countries. And maybe! In all countries. ( I don't know) Either way! It is so sad.
Dealers making money off people lives.
Everyone has there own opinion about the Death penalty. Which is everyone right. I do not change other people opinion. And other people do not change my opinion on it. Nor my opinion on other things. Now! My opinion on the DP. ( I have not decided yet) either way! My opinion will not matter. Meaning! What will it change. This is not a question!
yes... some medias in Indonesia make this case as a commodity to sell their journal by acting against the policy and many buy what they sell. Yes, it is human right to live and no other human could take life of other human. but how about human who capable to kill many humans for any reasons?
But you already said you support your government wrong or not.
Go and explain this to the many people asking for your justification
I guess death penalty would not change but expected could reduce the number of dealer.
See I am not an ordinary citizen and I have this view. I trust my government on this decision as I am sure he is surrounded by psychologists, politicians, other experts in their connected field to this issue and he consulted to them before finally he took the decision.
Including the risks !!
Nothing you do for the last days but burning in hate and anger and denial that you are not angry... People would know who you really are if you continue...
How did she get in contact with a smuggler?
Imagine if this one is your son !!! will you act the same?
Good you asked me. Amorthep would not be able to tell the story as she was trauma for quite long time afterward.
We just came back from school. My parents told me that they would go to market for shopping. So, ok we came back home at around 4pm. Amorthep after putting our motorbike in garage directly enter the house with the key while I was still playing with our cats in front yard. I didn't hear anything as normally Amort came back to me for chit chat in terrace so I went inside the house. I didn't find her directly as our house is pretty big and a bit dark... but I heard the door opened and someone run. So, I didn't see him.
I called her and I heard moaning. She laid on the floor in front of our parents' room with blood on the floor. there was no mobile phone at that time. I run out and calling the neighbor and our parents came back. She was in hospital for 35 days and under psy therapy for more than a year as she afraid to enter the house since then...
The court occurred 1 year later as we waited till Amort ready to face the guy as a witness and so did I...
once time, our house bell was ringing... I opened the door and I screamed and jumped since a guess coming was a man with dark skin similar to the smuggler.. since that time my parent not allowed me to open the door when a guess coming..
my hair is not full on my head now... bcos of operation, I got 12 stitching in total.
Fredy the name I mentioned above is Indonesian. 2 other indonesians have been executed for death penalty as well. The Bali nine members are also 2 Indonesian. So the penalty is applied for all.
Incidently, LoL to the idea that claiming to have found Jesus as the Australian criminals are doing is proof of reforming or redemption. True proof would be their supplying the names and contact information and everything they know about prior drug deals, who paid for what, who paid what, and to who and where to find them and all that jazz going back to when they were 10 years old. Nope. Nothing like that from them. Just waving of a borrowed Bible as proof they have a new leaf and should be spared.
Let us Be done with that. Kill them.
Ken, Right! Being saved means repenting of all your sins, but works of repentance doesn't necessarily means turning everybody in... but proof of repentance (salvation) MEANS TURNING AWAY FROM YOUR OWN SINS, AND ASKING GOD TO EXPOSE the names and contact information and everything they know about prior drug deals, who paid for what, who paid what, and to who and where to find them and all that jazz going back to when they were 10 years old. Nope. ...

However, if a person is indeed smuggling drugs there should be no mercy. And if they are caught in a foreign country then they have absolutely nothing to say. They need to understand that.
They have no mercy... Why should we?
LONG LIFE OUR PRESIDENT MR. JOKO WIDODO....
Letting the big fish jog around is surely wrong, but NEVER underestimate the small ones!
I cannot translate you other comments but the just of it is about drugs found in food?...
Our leader, Presiden Joko Widodo, is very aware of that. He met leaders of the involved countries, remember. Still he said "Kita serious, perang terhadap narkoba".
Having other countries interfering Indonesian Govt Policy and Laws is nothing new to us. Yes? No?
We all know that punishing innocent people is wrong. But criminals playing innocent is nothing new. Yes? No?
Besides, according to the above article the execution is not yet done. So who knows something might happen. I don't know.
I know corruption is a big problem in Indonesia (I bear in mind that all other countries are corruption FREE as I type). That's another mission Mr. Jokowi must accomplish (it was one of his promises he made during his presidential campaign). No problem can be solved in one day, especially in a country as big as Indonesia, especially when other countries keep interfering. Yes? No?
Don't forget another fact that in Aceh province, where tsunami crashed it hard in December 2006
Indonesia was seriously affected by the earthquake and tsunami created by the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake on 26 December 2004, swamping the northern and western coastal areas of Sumatra, and the smaller outlying islands off Sumatra. Nearly all the casualties and damage took place within the province of Aceh.
This now proves her innocence and killing her would be an injustice.
@Kaetchenvonhn... welcome to my blog and thank you for your correction in a number of population and island. I appreciate that you have spared your time to see who I am and other background I have as you know that I was in the UN/WHO to be precisely but that doesn't someone worked for the UN has to know everything. Many the UN press releases are not correct either... in addition to that, I am just a human being who believe that I would know the correct answer when I answered wrong.
But the point is my blog IS NOT discussing about the number of Indonesian population nor the number of island. MY JUSTIFICATION is a personal justification. People could laugh about it or take it like it is, is not my concern. I am not asking for people confirmation either.
Also, my blog DOES NOT discussing the system on how the execution of the death penalty done. You should refer your questions about it to a proper authority. If you try to find the answer on your questions here in my blogs, I could only say good luck hope someone would pop up in my blog with the answer you are looking for.
But if you ever experience working in a place where the political issues is surrounding you, I am sure you will know how it feels. I don't have any logic explanation to your question -why local drug dealer take longer time to be executed while foreigners execution done that fast- but I GUESS, which might be wrong, it is connected to political issue.
Any additional information, like what Kalpataru and you, posted in my blog, would be the benefit for the readers and me.
Peace be upon you....
Her only mistake was to be too trusting? She's GOD MOTHER which means she was supposed to take on the role of a parent.
Not all convicted of crimes are guilty and not all exonerated are innocent. All I'm appealing is let's find it in our hearts based on her individual case that justice is applied. Her trial wasn't fair because she wasn't given a proper and effective translator.
Tell me you have not a single doubt that she's a victim? Even after the culprit has come out?
Thank you very much for all your comments. Good or bad... comment is comment and I appreciate all equally.
By launching new blog at 2030, means this blog will disappear....
Thanks to my lovely Amorthep, Guandal, CalmHeart, Angelpepper, Walloups, itchy, loulou, iotaoo, Ed, Wavebox, Kaetchenvonhn
Special thanks to Kalpataru, Ken, Lukeon and SistaCollie for your contribution of informations
What's really wrong Kenny ?,
Did the rabbit hit back when you went hunting .
KEN THE HUNTER,THE MAN WHO KILLS DEFENSELESS ANIMALS..
I see, so you don't need to have brain to work for UN. No wonder UN Agencies seemed to contribute very little on the worlds' community.
But the point is my blog IS NOT discussing about the number of Indonesian population nor the number of island. MY JUSTIFICATION is a personal justification. People could laugh about it or take it like it is, is not my concern. I am not asking for people confirmation either.
You cannot present a basic information about your country is already laughable. Good, let us laugh more at you next time, because whatever you will write will be considered they are based on your phantasies.

This is standard answer that would be presented by Indonesians over critical questions about their country. Why I am not surprised if I would heard from you that you don't even know which authority has to deal with my questions.

Some people at least did. I could say, in a moment of time, was working quite close to your government and it's all about money, money, money. When will your country put death sentence on the local corruptors?
Oh, I forgot again, I will need to ask the proper authority in Indonesia for my last question.
