Depending on the source (and what one wishes to believe) the body of the person killed by the FBI didn't match that of John Dillinger.
According to the a autopsy...
1) They were of different height.
2) Dillinger was turned down for service in WWI because of a rheumatic heart.
The autopsy contains no mention of such a condition.
There's evidence Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid did NOT die in South Murka.
Butch's sister maintained he'd returned to the States & lived out his life peacefully under an assumed name.
According to some sources, in an effort to put rumors to rest, the grave(s) of the Bandito Americanos was opened awhile back...
1) Only one body was found.
2) The DNA of the body was inconsistent with being that of Butch or Sundance.
BTW - The movie correctly depicts Sundance's girlfriend, Etta Place, leaving them in South Murka.
She disappeared from the scene about that time and hasn't been heard of to this day.
Some claim she may have died abruptly due to acute appendicitis/ruptured appendix.
