Make this a REAL New Year!!!

What new year's "resolutions", if you truly kept them, would significantly change your life for the better? You can either keep floating on the boat you are now on, eat a bunch of chips and dip, and fall asleep listening to the year ring in, or sit down, take notes, and REALLY PLAN about how you can have a beautiful NEW year!!!

We all know the basic resolutions many people have but fail to keep during the new year: lose weight, exercise, go back to school, spend more time with friends and family, and so on. If some of these resolutions would significantly change 2015 for you, write it down, and plan on how you can make it work for you this time. The key is to take each goal, and write it down in small, manageable steps. You'd be surprised: even small changes, done faithfully, can have a major impact on your life.

Ask yourself what new year's resolutions, if you kept them, would truly make 2015 a better year for you? Or what did you do this year, you can do next year, better?

I'd love to hear your ideas!

For myself, here are just a few to start (a rough draft, if you will)!:

1. Pray every day for guidance and grace, at least fifteen minutes, preferably in the morning to start my day.
2. Stop eating junk food mindlessly.
3. Make sure everything I do is guided by love.
4. Continue my education in areas I need to grow.
5. Stop spending money mindlessly. (Remind you of the junk food resolution?)

When you have a completed a list of resolutions, sharpen them to maybe TEN major points...(your personal 10 commandments). rose

Don't write things you know you will never do. Keep it REAL so it can work!

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.

I love you all...you bring knowledge, friendship, and fun to my life. Have a wonderful new year, and count your blessings!!! You have many, you know!!!

Hi sweety Calmheart,

I had a big screen TV with pretty good resolution, but I dont think that's what you're referring to here. lol doh

I did make a resolution not to let the neighbor's dog sprinkle his own personal brand of vinyl/rubber protectant spray on my car tires, but that idea is gone.. That dog sprinkled my tires this morning already. dancing dog

Hmm, what else? I don't know.. I guess I'll just do the best of everything I can to make 2015 better, and the next year after that even better.

Happy New Year! party hat hug
Robert, I find it helps to write things down, and clarify what you want to change/accomplish in a new year. Hence this blog, struggling to stay afloat in an already overflooded Happy New Year CS Blogland!!! laugh

Guess a lot of people feel like you do, they just want to go with the flow...but I thought it would be inspirational and truly helpful to talk about other's original "resolutions" for 2015, or "changes" they personally wanted/needed to make...perhaps not the same old "lose weight" maxim (no matter how true it may be)...but small yet meaningful resolutions that will impact their lives in important ways.

Thanks so much Wallops, Angel, and everyone...I had a pretty quiet New Year's Eve myself... :) except at midnight! I was hoping my car alarm wouldn't go off, with the noise.

I hope no one got too drunk...I remember one New Year's Eve when I did (that I never forgot)...yikes!
