Today in Nedtherland we celebrities becoming free from the Nazi.

Both my dauthers are more Dutch than Jamaican, their grand-mother and mother told them many stories about what happend in Nedtherland when WW 2.was happening.
Here in Holland the thema this year is Verbondenhid.

I am glad that these ladys have sense of belonging and an identity. With time , we will see more and more of these people all over the world.

Happy Freedom daycheering cheering
Thanks Luke for me Bevrijingsdag is to take the time to listen to the stories about what had happenend here 70 years ago..
My highschool GF's mom was in the Resistance there at that time. One of a few that survived without a betrayal taking them.
Enjoy the Freedom. It was paid for in blood and should not be taken lightly.
It was a wonderful day Fly, when the war was over and peace came back into our lands. So much devastation and sadness our mothers fathers and grandparents lived through.
I read some of BC`s, memories of those awful days and it brought me to tears as she was a child when the war was going on. Of course she too came from Holland. Her story is something I think everyone should read. I MISS BC on the blogs and hope she is alright. Sending hugs to her. hug hug hug

So glad you can celebrate this day and remember and be grateful for those who fought for our freedom.

I pray that peace could reign throughout the world and that we would learn from the past.
