False accusations...

No... that's not in me to report another member who is stalking me.
I'd get an unfair reputation. I'm trying to stay neutral.

Already he's the sheriff/best blogger/critic/blog monitor reads my blogs.
Sadly, he is unable to control his hate for me, but he's really not stupid and since his comments lash out only a few times a month, he's under the radar of administration.

Would the site moderator delete his profile? Doubtful.

False accusations...

True, so speaking the truth about my stalker would keep the gossip mill going outside of CS.

Thanks for the comment!

False accusations...

Unless someone received official notice, it's believed he was banned, probably for arguments with another member. As far as him making offensive comments, I prefer to stay out of it but read jac's comment above.
I recall several things happened over the course of a year or so. Some blogs were locked, or deleted by him. At least one was removed by the site administrator/moderator that he remarked on another blog.

RE: So where's THE DUKE

Oh okay I just posted on Chat's blog then went looking for the accuser he mentioned, well, those two do have a history of animosity. sigh

Hey, Itchy! wave Yup, I want Luke back too, I don't agree with him on US politics but much much MUCH rather have political blogs banned (I'm sure the mods asked people to quit the political blogs already) than bloggers! US politics has pretty much destroyed what used to be fun reading, every blog on the foul topic either punching or poking or needling or bellowing. This is not a political site! Go find political sites!! rolling on the floor laughing

And give us Luke back. If there's a petition, tell me where to sign -

God Bless the USA !

if I were you? did you mean if you were me? Are you saying that the USA has been blackmailed into funding most of NATO all these years and England would never engage with other coalition forces and fight evil?
Are you saying the USA should never have pulled Englands butt out of the fire in WWI and WWI. the USA probably never should have loaned money to England to rebuild after the WWII or given England a 60 year term to pay it back. England defaulted on loans to the USA for WWI only to finish paying their WWI debt in 2015. God Bless America....

RE: False accusations...

Moderation here is up to the site. So if I am consistently using bad language, intimidating, making threats towards other users I will eventually get banned etc. So it does not matter if a person is well liked or not. It’s also based on those who report others here.

CS has the right to remove and suspended users, remove content that is bound by their own terms and conditions.

Millions are accustomed to expressing themselves online which can be very explosive due to the topic, especially politics, religion, climate change, gender etc. its a huge challenge for them to monitor all posts effectively especially with so much toxicity, let alone content that is disturbing and harmful.

I don’t know if CS carry out any risk assessments, or what the scope/criteria would be. Any site can be found in breach of its own moderation practices, sued, fined along with court proceedings. It’s not just fb, insta etc. it also applies here.

Now if I complain to Ofcom they will investigate irrespective of the jurisdiction.

Scenario- Iets say I get banned and you post that this has happened, times, dates, perhaps why. I can put in a complaint to Ofcom and they will investigate it because my claim would be that irrespective of my behaviour which warranted a ban you and others took advantage of my demise and initiated conversations about me which caused me emotional harm, being subject to others ridicule and defamation of character, intimidation to name but a few.

The whole world can see these forums, it’s not private.

RE: False accusations...

What makes you pose such a question, or even think I would want to intimidate anyone?

Why do you think I want to intimidate your or anyone. I find that thought of yours very bizarre indeed.

Blind I am not. If one enjoys a good debate that descends into calling people names and ridiculing them so be it,

I have no interest in getting involved in all the argy bargy debates about politics and other subjects.

RE: False accusations...

To note there has been far worse on the blogs and forums. This one time a user was pursued relentlessly by other members around 2022, mainly on the forums, bitter, twisted, trying to really run the person down with no success. In fact it had the opposite affect. Eventually it was locked down.

It was not a matter of liking or disliking the individual concerned, it was about the vicious behaviour that member was subject to.

In my opinion, strictly mine only, I do not think this blog was necessary, At the end of the day where is the evidence, based on what, a greyed out profile or a user not posting, sending messages only? Many users who get into conflicts, disagreements or arguments here called each other names, follow each other around. That is to be expected.

We all know people get banned or suspended for one reason and another.

If one starts off with a provocation then expect a reaction.

Keep on zapping the scammers. But could you stomach reporting sites where there is really bad stuff involved causing pain and harm to humans? Because those kinds of sites do get shut down only for more to appear, it’s a job that many simply would not do. So I give those involved a lot of credit in reporting such horrendous abuse.

UK & USA ELECTIONS THIS YEAR. UKRAINE?

Grandsioze
Do you really think the people in Ukraine are not fighting for their freedom? Are all those towns and villages smashed to rubble, just an illusion? I suppose you think Ukrainians should be happy and welcoming to Russia. I suppose all the refugees that have evacuated to Poland, UK etc are rejoicing at the destruction of their homes and the breakdown of normal life. Perhaps all those drones and missiles constantly threatening the existing population are just sent for fun. Life in and out of cellars and underground subways for families, destruction of schools and hospitals. I think you must have been asleep over the last couple of years.

The collapse of Boeing by Jon Oliver

A former Boeing manager turned whistleblower has been found dead with a 'self-inflicted' wound, the authorities say.

A former Boeing manager who flagged concerns about the aircraft manufacturer's quality standards was found dead in South Carolina on Saturday.

John Barnett, 62, was found dead in his truck at a hotel car park in Charleston, just days after he started giving a formal deposition in a legal action against Boeing, the BBC first reported.

The Charleston County coroner's office said in a statement that Barnett had died from "what appears to be a self-inflicted" wound, per multiple news outlets such as The Hill.

Boeing told Business Insider in a statement: "We are saddened by Mr Barnett's passing, and our thoughts are with his family and friends."

Police are investigating Barnett's death. He worked for about 32 years at Boeing before retiring in 2017, and for a time, was a quality manager at a North Charleston manufacturing plant for the 787 Dreamliner.

At this post, Barnett said he observed worrying signs of slipping standards at Boeing, saying that the manufacturer was rushing to assemble its aircraft.

"I haven't seen a plane out of Charleston yet that I'd put my name on saying it's safe and airworthy," Barnett told The New York Times in 2019.

That year, he told the BBC that a test in 2016 for 300 oxygen systems showed that a quarter of them failed to deploy. Barnett also alleged that he knew of at least one case at the plant where workers used parts from scrap bins to fit planes on the production line.

In January, Barnett told TMZ of cases where inspectors were given only two hours to find defects in a supplier's products, significantly hampering their ability to conduct proper checks.

Boeing has denied Barnett's allegations and said that while it found some defective oxygen systems, as Barnett reported, it removed them from production so they weren't deployed on any aircraft.

The Federal Aviation Administration visited the Charleston facility and found that more than 50 "non-conforming" parts were missing, appearing to add credibility to Barnett's claims of parts from scrap bins being used, per the BBC.
Barnett was due to continue deposition, lawyer says
Barnett had filed an AIR21 case against Boeing, saying it undermined his career because he had raised safety concerns at the Charleston plant. The AIR21 is a law protecting airline safety whistleblowers.

Barnett's lawyer, Brian Knowles, said the former Boeing manager was supposed to report for the third day of his deposition on Friday, per the Corporate Crime Reporter.

He was questioned by Boeing's lawyers on Thursday and then cross-examined by Knowles on Friday, but didn't show up or respond to calls on Saturday, Knowles said.

Barnett's lawyers asked his hotel to check on the whistleblower, and he was found dead in his vehicle, Knowles told the Corporate Crime Reporter. The BBC reported the same details surrounding Barnett's death.

Knowles did not immediately respond to a request for comment sent outside regular business hours by Business Insider.

Boeing has, in recent months, come under scrutiny over safety concerns in its 737 Max planes after an Alaska Airlines flight in January had a door plug blown out of its fuselage while in the air.

The New York Times reported on Monday, citing a set of presentation slides, that Boeing had recently failed 33 out of 89 FAA product audits for its 737 Max production.

On Monday, at least 50 passengers were injured when a Boeing 787 Dreamliner run by Latam Airlines dropped suddenly due to a technical issue. The 787 is the aircraft that Barnett worked on at the North Charleston facility.

awwww that's too bad...he was one of the good guys too.

He wished me a happy new year and when I came back he was gone.
I thought maybe it was his choice to take a break.
I didn't think people still got kicked out of this site. There is so much to do online now, I would think owners of this site would welcome everyone.
I think deleting offensive blogs and comments would be a better way, instead of deleting the person.

RE: HUMILIATION: Creepy Joe’s SOTU Address Receives Worst Polling in Past Quarter Century

Biden's speech was more of a campaign speech, and pretty devisive.

The bar had been set very low for him, and for him showing enough vigor and some energy, that was enough to pump up the liberal base Thursday night.

Biden may have been given something for his vigor and energy before his speech.

Bring on the debates, because biden is no match for Trump. Looking for a Trump victory this November!

The site is a business...it must make money to stay alive.

There have been signs that it does not have the revenue needed to keep things the same.

The closing of all threads before the previous 5000 responses...purging of some threads or blogs...

I know when I log in now, there used to be pages of people online now...Now, it is maybe one page..

My guess is..asking to pay to upgrade is a way to keep the site afloat...

Listened to people's opinion of the President's speech one would think the democrats and the republicans heard two different speech.

President Biden gets multiple of these. thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up

RE: Donald who...?

Most of the world would disagree, his speech was forceful and made several important points, especially how trump had decimated the American economy, with thoughtless regard to the impact his decisions would make on the average American.

If Biden lied then spell them out. Let’s all hear them.

Why do you never criticise Trump’s proven lies but always pick up on Biden small exaggerations?

The Idea of America Lives in Americans

No new party is needed, but what do I a U.S. citizen know. Well, anyways what the U.S. does need is talk and listen to each other for the common good of us like this astute Senator points out while announcing she will not run again for reelection.

Is it true England is a permanent Welfare State and anyone who works there is a sucker.

Impolite society: Who is to blame for Britain's bad manners?

Britain is ( still ) in the grip of an epidemic of rudeness and anti-social behaviour. And finding a cure has never been higher on the political agenda. But it was only when William Leith got into a fight over a taxi that he realised the unpalatable truth: we are all to blame...

seems nothing has change for the better since then. sigh

The Idea of America Lives in Americans

After reading your first patronizing statement I skipped to your final statements above. In closing I want you to know that I am a grandchild of my four grandparents who immigrated to the united states through the USA’s front door (legally.) oh, I am 2nd generation in my family born in the USA and I also am, by right of blood, a citizen of Italy. I feel as privileged to vote in Italy’s elections as I feel voting in USA elections.

The Idea of America Lives in Americans

Hello, Jac. So nice of you to stop by in my Freedom blog.

I believe that socialism has failed in every country in which it has been tried, from the Soviet Union beginning a century ago to three modern countries that tried but ultimately rejected socialism—Israel, India, and the United Kingdom.

If you really want to discuss Marxism start your own blog and I will try and engage in your discussion there.
Maybe you could explain to us there in what countries Marxism has been embraced and successful.

I will say though that, aside from having a few inglorious birth defects to start with (Inherited from the Europeans), the USA was doing pretty good on it’s own as a capitalist nation which many countries envied and tried to mirror.

Marxist do not like Capitalism to say the least, Marxists try to camouflage their goals in the USA under the idea of social justice. However, what is really going on here is they want to bring back racism, tear down our country’s foundation, build up privileged people, determine what is proper to say in public, houses of worship and the military.

I wish so many Americans weren’t so complacent. Marxism must be stopped again what these cultural marxist with do to the USA what the Soviets never could. We don’t want to be controlled by totalitarian sole-killing ideology the far left want to adopt here.

Marxism is extremely violent.
“The last capitalist we hang shall be the one who sold us the rope.”
