Peart...

Sad news that Neil Peart, drummer for the rock band Rush, passed away Tuesday at the age of 67. Cause of death was brain cancer.
Bassist Geddy Lee gave an interview not long ago saying Neil's retirement was due to arthritis. I'm forming an opinion Geddy knew the truth.

Well, maybe I should have known better.

The wait staff at this restaurant had a terrible attitude.
The chef and manager didn't seem to care at all.
They would just call out the restaurant name every time I complained.
Like that would make a difference. dunno

Perhaps I should have known better.
But, I love sashimi and pickled ginger and I like sushi too.
So, I took a chance.

However, I guess I should have gotten a hint from the restaurant's name.

Granges (4 F groups), Catholic churches. Oddfellows/Freemasons, Others?...

...yes, indeed, the times they are a'changing... Very few family farms left, so on the first, thin meeting attendance. Although with the monthly $5 home made AYCE feed bags, with really nice folks---AND, the growing move toward young organic farm families, there is hope, for this great social/educational institution. And RC Churches are now being sold for mansion like homes, businesses, etc. And few want to be celibate priests, much less women. And buying off former victim altar boys ain't cheap. Although, if Holy Father Francis can whip the powerful corrupt faggots in the Vatican into moral and business shape, there is hope. Not so much the last groups. Too many know about how the secrets are out. Can't make it in Business? Standing in front of a Brother Judge? Too many moving traffic violations? Never passed the GED? Or the CDL? The all powerful seeing eye---and secret handshakes have been there for you for ages. Caps and aprons.

Yet another blog on dreams...Yawn, yawn....

The ancients saw clairvoyant predictive value, Freud saw wish fulfillment, modern neuroscience---processing, storing and consolidation of memories. Look at Spanish cave art, and earlier woman saw hunted animals, and hubbies with those sexy large hands. But I digress. As I continue to evolve away from the chains of childhood traumata, thanks to my hot and brilliant Dr. M, and the art is long, believe me folks, my own dreams seem to be changing. Actually it sort of fits with the four theories as above. Fewer recalled episodes, yet what remain are much more intense. And there's more. As with the one a few weeks ago, where I actually FELT most sensations of being high, VERY high. Only wet dreams, VERY wet, seemed more experienced in the life. This morning, as I dreamed of an old GF, a lovely, decent lady, to whom I was a total crumb, whose new BF and I were inspecting water craft, I was impressed with how decent a (mid Eastern) fellow he was. When Ms. C. returned to the docks, with (real) tears in my eyes, I told her how happy I was for her new life, with such a nice man. But in the really striking part of the reverie, while looking at sails with this fine older man, we got to chatting about the political situation in Iran/Iraq. What wasn't striking was how lucid were his thoughts here. But that it all exactly dovetailed with a morning radio program on short wave, for a short guy, VERY short, which was all COMPLETELTY news to me, until the dream a few hours earlier. And his analysis was spot on, as HE, CC and Red would say. Sure, lots of alternative explanations, similar to those for deja and jamais vue phenomena. Starting to doubt such, though.. Bravo agrees. Grasping for the sacred I Ching. Ever onward, through the fog.

HEY IRAN. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! AMERICANS HAVE HAD IT WITH YOU BARBARIANS. YOU THINK YOU'RE ANGRY?

Iran seized a ship and held its crew hostage. No response from President Trump.

Iran blew up a ship. No response from President Trump.

Iran blew up an American drone in international airspace. No response from President Trump.

Iran blew up oil fields in Saudi Arabia. No response from President Trump.

President Trump has shown TREMENDOUS restraint.

But ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

President Trump laid down a REAL red line (unlike the feckless fake cowardly red line Obama promised but never kept). President Trump’s red line was that if Iran kills any Americans they will regret it. They killed an American. And now they regret it. Isn't that just too damn bad for Iran.

I don’t give a fvck if they are angry or not. Who cares. You think they're angry? You should see America... I'll show you angry!

If it wasn’t for the fact that they know they will be sent to Allah in a blazing fireball if they try it, they would already have killed us all. The ONLY reason they haven’t is because they know they can’t and they will be committing suicide if they attempt it. SO WHO CARES IF THEY ARE ANGRY? These are people who chant death to America on a daily basis. We should care if they are angry? Like they’re not already? Islamic terrorists have been attacking, terrorizing and murdering innocent Americans since George Washington was president. We have to worry about making them angry now? GIVE ME A BREAK.

In the 80s, on the very day that Ronald Reagan was inaugurated president, the Iranians released the 52 American diplomats and citizens they were holding hostage for 444 days. Later, they made the mistake of blowing up an American frigate. How did President Reagan respond? He blew up half their Navy. Did it escalate? No it did not. They were shaking in their turbans.

AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED TO DO TO THESE BARBARIANS NOW. IT’S THE ONLY THING THEY UNDERSTAND.

Something very strange happened last weekend.

I totally forgot about that, until right now.
I was just reading something, that made me think of it.

Last weekend I was at the flea market selling natural gemstone jewelry, that I make.
I have a separate smaller table with just rings.
My large display table gets 10 sheet pans across, 2 rows deep = 20 metal trays total containing different offerings.
They contain about 50 different gems and between 7 to 25 of each type.
I try to keep each type of gem organized in a column
continuing back for both aligned trays with the cheapest offerings in the front nearest to the
customers and the more expensive, larger stones/crystals in the back, closer to me in order of
progressing price.

Behind that I have fairly large gem crystals, both polished and in the raw state out of trays.
Also, in front of the trays I have 2 rows of pendants without gems.
The cheapest is silver alloy pendants on silver plated chains. Those are only $1 each and
directly behind that are silver pendants with a glass cover and a picture behind the glass.
Those are $2 each.
For those I offer a variety of different colored pleather straps for the customer to choose. My intent is to have something cheap for kids as well all incomes of adults.
But, you'd be surprised though, sometimes it's the adults who prefer the cheaper stuff.
To each their own.
Regardless, my prices thus range between $1 and about $100 each with a bunch of prices in between.

Although I may sell from 15 to 100 of those $1 silver alloy pendants in a day, they can be a pain,
especially is it is windy. If so, a few of them ultimately end up on the ground and with others,
the wind blows the lightweight chains and hopelessly tangles them.
When that happens I just throw them in a bag, to untangle sometime during the week, while I watch
ball games, or Colbert, on TV later in the week for the following weekend.
Although I've gotten pretty good at it, it can take a good 5 to 15 minutes each time, depending upon how badly tangled they get.

Last weekend, that happened. So, I threw 3 of them, that were hopelessly tangled together into a
small plastic bag, and put that bag in my coat pocket for later. sigh

Several hours went by and I was quite busy with sales.
But, about 3 o'clock (I get there before 7:30 am) there was a slow period of time.

So, I figured it was a chance to TRY to untangle those $1 pendants, if I could there.
Thus, I pulled the plastic bag out of my coat pocket and reached inside.
To my amazement all 3 chains with the pendants were completely untangled. wow
I have never had that happen before and I doubt it will ever happen again. dunno
But, it was odd, very odd.

I'm not sure if anything that odd happened to you before,
but I was shocked, when it happened to me last Sunday.
Sometimes things just work out perfectly with minimal effort;

Ebony ...on Ivory....

...I've often wondered. Have heard from the Blacks who are in my family about what it's like to be in areas where they are a tiny minority. I made a point of asking. As here in Maine, which with Wyoming, has the lowest percentage of minorities in the USA. But, by and large, we enjoy the rule of law here and in cowboy heaven, where I also lived, and loved. And there's civility, and the lowest violent crime rates, and highest gun ownership (imagine that?!) in both states. Now, compare life here for Negroes, with that for Caucasians, in say RSA, or the former Rhodesia. Both once wealth and food baskets of Africa, until Whites yielded power, and now are a lot like the socialist workers' paradise of Venezuela. Or Cuba. Are they brave, somehow saintly optimists, Crazy guilty White liberals, suicidal fools, or just what are they thinking?
