This is my adorable (and cheeky) little lady - Sal. She was bought for me for my 40th birthday and I got her (coincidentally) as the initial lockdowns began in March 2020. She's been a Godsend. I had never considered myself a dog person but I don't know what I'd do without her now. She's extremely energetic, not shy, and VERY friendly (she loves going up to strangers and getting petted when I bring her out for walks ). She's a British Golden Retriever (cream coloured as opposed to red).

Once upon a time, there was a lazy cat named Whiskers. Whiskers lived a comfortable life, spending most of his days lounging in the sun, napping, and grooming himself. He didn't like to do anything that required much effort, such as hunting for his food or playing with toys.

One day, a mouse sneaked into the house and started stealing Whiskers' food. At first, Whiskers was too lazy to do anything about it, but as the mouse continued to take more and more of his food, Whiskers realized he needed to take action.

He thought about all the ways he could get rid of the mouse, but they all required too much effort. Finally, he came up with a plan that was just lazy enough for him. He started napping in front of the mouse's hiding spot, making it difficult for the mouse to get to the food.

The mouse soon realized it couldn't get to the food with Whiskers in the way and gave up trying. Whiskers was pleased with his clever solution and went back to lounging in the sun, happy to have solved his problem in the laziest way possible.

From that day on, Whiskers had plenty of food and no mouse to bother him, and he lived the rest of his days in lazy contentment.

Australia has the reputation of having the World's largest collection of poisonous, (and otherwise dangerous) wildlife. ALL of these animals should be treated with great care.....Most are found outside of urban areas...and do not present a problem to the average tourist....Enter their domain, however, and/or provoke them, and you are asking for real trouble!...particularly in a remote area, where it would be difficult for Emergency Services to access (we have a lot of those)....you've been warned!






Even the kangaroos seem to be getting out of hand!

The overall winner of this year’s competition, which saw 5,000 incredible entries, is Jennifer Hadley, for her perfectly timed photograph of a lion cub losing its grip on a tree trunk entitled ‘Not so cat-like reflexes.’ As the 2022 Comedy Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Jennifer won an African safari trip to Kenya. She also won the Affinity Photo Award and People’s Choice Award for her charming shot of two penguins. “I really love this photo contest because it’s just so different from anything else and really shows off the personalities of the animals,” says Jennifer.
