Fake News vs What really happened.

CNN ran a story - (CNN)A crowd of teenagers surrounded a Native American elder and other activists and mocked them after Friday's Indigenous Peoples March at the Lincoln Memorial.

Videos of the confrontation show a smiling young man in a red Make America Great Again hat standing directly in front of the man, who was playing a drum and chanting. Other kids could be seen laughing, jumping around and making fun of the chants.
"I did not feel safe in that circle," said Kaya Taitano, a student at the University of the District of Columbia who participated in the march and shot the videos.
She told CNN that the teens were chanting things like "Build the wall" and "Trump 2020."

They did not tell you everything.

Now what really happened.

Here is a video clearly showing that Nathan Phillips approached the students. On the basis of the evidence we now have, I believe that people who issued categorical and one-sided condemnations of the students should retract and apologize.

Now you know the real story.

When 88-year-old retired nurse Violet boarded a plane following a visit to see her daughter, she was completely unaware that she was about to get one of the most magical experiences of her life.
She had hit it off with young man Jack and the two had chatted before boarding the plane, during which Violet had revealed it was her dream to travel at the front of the plane.
Unbeknown to her Jack and his family were traveling in first class and what he did when he boarded the plane has attracted the praise of people around the world.
When Violet got on the plane she was informed by the flight attendant that she was to swap seats with a passenger in first class allowing Violet to travel home in style and fulfill her dream.
“Of the hundreds of flights I’ve operated, I’ve had the pleasure of looking after footballers, supermodels, and some Hollywood movie stars but let me tell you about my two favorite passengers EVER!
“Jack and Violet. Jack and his family purchased seats In our upper-class cabin for a flight home, but when he got onboard, Jack went and found violet in the economy and swapped seats with her.
‘The kindness of his own heart
“He then sat on the row of seats directly next to the economy toilets and never made a peep or asked for anything the rest of the flight. No fuss, no attention, literally did it out of the kindness of his own heart, no one asked him to .
“Violet is 88 years old and has been a nurse. She travels to New York to see her daughter but hasn’t been able to for a while because of a knee replacement. Her dream has always been to sit at the front, and Jack made that come true.
“You should of seen her face when I tucked her in her bed after supper. She said her daughter won’t believe her and wanted a ‘selfie’ to prove it.”

Bathroom Etiquette Gone Wrong

People of different genders using or misusing public restrooms, has been a topic of frequent discussion on social media.
However, on Sunday a female Panthers fan gave the bathroom debate a visual no one will soon forget.

While most men don’t even like standing next to each other at a urinal, this woman had no shame as she puller her pants down and used the urinal in a fashion for which it was not intended:

Someone should have informed her that she’s breaking serious men’s room etiquette by looking at other people while using the restroom. But honestly, that’s only one of the many things wrong with this picture.

Feds Finally Admit to Running Secretive DOJ “Commandos” at Jan. 6 Trump Protests

The Department of Justice admitted this week to running secretive DOJ “commandos” at the January 6 protests in Washington DC.

Four Trump supporters died that day including two women who were killed by Capitol Hill Police.
A third woman was nearly killed but was rescued by Green Beret Jeremy Brown.

The DOJ Commandos were given “shoot to kill” orders.

Now they’re admitting the government did in fact have commandos at the capitol on Jan. 6.

After nearly a year this information is finally coming out.
And they accused this website and others of being conspiracy nuts for reporting on the feds in the crowd that day.

Secret Commandos with Shoot-to-Kill Authority Were at the Capitol

Right after the New Year, Jeffrey A. Rosen, the acting Attorney General on January 6, approved implementation of long-standing contingency plans dealing with the most extreme possibilities: an attack on President Donald Trump or Vice President Mike Pence, a terrorist attack involving a weapon of mass destruction, and a declaration of measures to implement continuity of government, requiring protection and movement of presidential successors.

Rosen made a unilateral decision to take the preparatory steps to deploy Justice Department and so-called "national" forces. There was no formal request from the U.S. Capitol Police, the Secret Service, or the Metropolitan Police Department—in fact, no external request from any agency. The leadership in Justice and the FBI anticipated the worst and decided to act independently, the special operations forces lurking behind the scenes.

"I believe that DOJ [Department of Justice] reasonably prepared for contingencies ahead of January 6, understanding that there was considerable uncertainty as to how many people would arrive, who those people would be, and precisely what purposes they would pursue," Rosen later told Congress. He stressed that his department "no frontline role with respect to crowd control," that they were focused on "high-risk" operations.

The contingency units meeting on January 3 included the FBI's Hostage Rescue Team, the FBI's national "Render Safe" team, an FBI SWAT team from the Baltimore Field Office, Special Response Teams from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and the U.S. Marshals Service Special Operations Group

13 right wing nutcases charged in plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Whitman.

Amazing how brazen and delusional the right has gotten in recent years.

Today in CNN;

13 charged in plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer

By Christina Carrega, Veronica Stracqualursi and Josh Campbell, CNN

Washington (CNN)Thirteen people were charged Thursday in an alleged domestic terrorism plot to kidnap Michigan Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, federal and state officials announced.
The alleged scheme included plans to overthrow several state governments that the suspects "believe are violating the US Constitution," including the government of Michigan and Whitmer, according to a federal criminal complaint.

Six people were charged federally with conspiracy to kidnap, and seven other people, associated with the militia group "Wolverine Watchmen," were charged by the state, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced.

"The individuals in (state) custody are suspected to have attempted to identify the home addresses of law enforcement officers in order to target them, made threats of violence intended to instigate a civil war, and engaged in planning and training for an operation to attack the capitol building of Michigan and to kidnap government officials, including the governor of Michigan," Nessel said at a press conference.

The arrests are likely to draw additional attention to the political tensions roiling the nation in the closing weeks of the 2020 election season, and underline warnings from law enforcement officials, members of Congress and groups that track extremism about the increasing threat of extremist and far-right groups. Whitmer at times has been the focus of extreme vitriol from far-right groups over her handling of the coronavirus pandemic.
In an interview on CNN's "Erin Burnett OutFront" on Thursday night, Whitmer thanked law enforcement for making the arrests.
"This is unlike anything we have seen before. The brave men and women of these two police organizations put their lives on the line to keep me and my family safe," she said. "I'm incredibly grateful and humbled by the work they do."

In televised remarks Thursday afternoon, Whitmer said she "knew this job would be hard, but I'll be honest, I never could've imagined anything like this." She specifically blamed President Donald Trump, who has repeatedly declined to condemn far-right groups.

"Just last week, the President of the United States stood before the American people and refused to condemn white supremacists and hate groups like these two Michigan militia groups," she said. "'Stand back and stand by,' he told them. 'Stand back and stand by.' Hate groups heard the President's words not as a rebuke, but as a rallying cry, as a call to action. When our leaders speak, their words matter. They carry weight."

In response, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said Whitmer is "sowing division."
"President Trump has continually condemned white supremacists and all forms of hate," McEnany said in a statement to CNN. "Governor Whitmer is sowing division by making these outlandish allegations. America stands united against hate and in support of our federal law enforcement who stopped this plot."

The six charged by the federal government are Michigan residents Adam Fox, 37, Ty Garbin, 24, Kaleb Franks, 26, Daniel Harris, 23, Brandon Caserta, 32, and Delaware resident Barry Croft, 44.
The seven people charged by the state are Paul Bellar, 21, Shawn Fix, 38, Eric Molitor, 36, Michael Null, 38, William Null, 38, Pete Musico, 42, Joseph Morrison, 42. They face a variety of firearm and terror charges.

The FBI became aware of the scheme, first reported by The Detroit News, in early 2020 through a social media group of individuals.

Angry, I am angry

As many know already a brand new, not yet opened, 960 ton concrete pedestrian walkway bridge dropped 40 feet onto a line of cars waiting at a red light Thursday afternoon in Miami, FL. Florida International University had the bridge over the 8 lane road underneath built. The University has been expanding and the classrooms are on one side of the busy street, but new student housing is on the other side of the street.

In the past several years several students had been hit by cars while attempting to run across the street either to get to class or to get back to their dormitory. The building of a pedestrian walkway passing over the traffic was an obvious solution. The bridge was built as a pre fab structure and lifted into place just this past weekend. A grand opening was supposed to be in a few days.

A decision was made to stress test the bridge. A local engineering company was hired to do the stress testing. Back in 2000 or so I had been employed with such a firm and we did stress tests on foundation bolts and support beams routinely so I do have some experience in the field. Always, safety was paramount and anytime we were tugging on a bolt or a support beam with 20,000 or more pounds of force we made very sure that not only us but also any bystanders were no where near the operation. When you run a hudraulic ram generating 20 - 60 tons of pressure, that is a lot of energy. If a bolt or an industrial epoxy or a support beam does fail, you can expect a projectile or three to travel someplace at high velocity. Likewise, hydraulic lines blow (hydraulic oil at 5,000 psi will penetrate your clothes and then your skin and trust me, you do not want your arteries or veins to be suddenly injected with red hot hydraulic fluids), gaskets blow, supports can crumble, sometimes a cable or a chain snaps and becomes a high speed steel whip capable of beheading someone, etc. So safety first. No one near the test but the inspectors doing the test. Proper safety gear, shields, etc. So what witnesses are saying this 'engineering company did was to hook the bridge up by cables to 3 big cranes. Each cable pulled in a different direction. In theory all forces would balance while also subjecting the bridge supports to way more stress than 1,000 pedestrians walking would generate.

Here is what makes me angry. There was no thought about what could go wrong. The company made a decision to not block traffic on the busy street while the test was underway. In the following video most of the flattened cars you will see were simply sitting at the red light on the cross street with the drivers totally unaware of the test, or that over 900 tons of steel and concrete were about to crash down on them.

In the video you will see a red crane. The test was underway with all 3 cranes pulling. Witnesses are saying the hawser on the red crane suddenly just snapped with a loud bang. This instantly allowed the forces being generated by the other cranes to bring the bridge crashing down on the cars and pedestrians below.

At least 4 are known to be dead, about 10 have been transported to hospitals with critical injuries. An unknown number of persons may still be underneath the bridge or it's concrete roof. The Director of Miami police said in a press conference at least 8 vehicles are under the bridge.

It seems I am not the only person who feels traffic on the street below should have been stopped while the test was underway and until an inspection could be completed. The Director of the Miami Police today announced his Homicide Squad will be the lead local agency investigating.
