or have fun adding your own photo caption(s).
You know the drill. Add a caption for the following photo (it's not one of mine) and/or enjoy the suggestions by other CS members.
Your choice.
Here's the photo;
and my first suggested caption is;
"Geez Louise, I don't care if you are the one who feeds me, put some feathers on !"
Or add your own photo caption, if you like;

For quite a long time I have had an intuitive feeling that there is no such thing as time. Yet I can’t even say that without recruiting the concept of time to help me in the denial of its own existence. My intuition tells me that what we call the past, the present and the future, all exist simultaneously and perpetually. Every object and every event that ever was, is or will be, just is, constantly. But how we experience that as the linear process we call time is a complete mystery to me.
Do we each have one consciousness that steadily progresses through this strange, static landscape, experiencing it as the passing of time, while in reality it is only our consciousness that is passing? Well not really, because that would mean our consciousness would be travelling in time. Do we then have infinite consciounesses, each experiencing one unit of existence? If so, how are all these separate perceptions joined together to form our overall perception of now? And could there even possibly be such a thing as a unit of existence?
As I am writing this blog, am I also only just being born, while simultaneously experiencing my terminal heart attack? Am I still a single cell organism? None of this stacks up, something is going on. Do the scientists know the truth, but are keeping it secret? Does the government know what is going on, but not telling us? Do I have to turn to Youtube for answers?
Nobody knows, of course, and perhaps nobody ever will. Maybe the limits of our perception lock us into a subjectivity that is simply impossible to escape. Still, such matters are useful for occupying our minds while we lay in bed waiting to drift off to sleep, which I am probably doing at this very moment in some unit of existence or other.
It seems that C.S. reduce the size of photos when posted. Does anyone know how to avoid this, or is it just the way the site works?
I am trying to upload my pics at 1024x768 btw.
Have a groovy day y'all...
Here are some photos I 'snapped' within the last 2 weeks here in New Jersey and presented this week at a local photo club.
The professional photographers loved them. But, you may feel differently. That's OK with me.
One can't make everyone happy.
Let me know which one YOU like the most, ..... or at least hate the least.
Chronologically, as they were "snapped" on 2 different days;
#1. This is the foliage along the banks of Farrington Lake
#2. Foliage from a maple at the edge of a park in South Brunswick
#3. Same as #2, but different tree
#4. Same park, but ready seeds from a weed in a field after sunset.
#5. Zoomed in on the face of a yearling whitetail deer from a herd I am accepted in.
#6. Same deer zoomed out;
#7. Rower & Foliage along the edge of Carnegie Lake in Princeton
#8. Same tree zoomed in a bit more without the rower.
Due to the pandemic, it gave me time to look at some of my photos from 2 years ago, that I really didn't get the chance to appreciate. I am posting 6 of them each week. This is my second posting of photos in this series.
If you don't mind, let me know which is your favorite of the 6. Thanks.
The following is a Roseate Spoonbill reflecting on foraging for lunch
The following is a Purple Gallinule.
In my opinion one of the most colorful indigenous birds we have in North America
The following is a Great Egret. I caught it twisting to end a flight and land.
It almost appears to be dancing;
The following is a Sunset with palm tree silhouettes
The following is a soaring Osprey. They mainly eat fish, which they pluck out of the water with their talons.
Indeed, the word osprey is a Native American word meaning fish hawk, which it is.
and lastly for now, the following is 2 Glossy Ibis. many of the feather on their backs display multicolor
iridescence, showing luminous colors that seem to change when seen from different angles.
I hope you enjoyed them.
If you like, have fun adding your own caption(s) for the following photo, or just enjoy the creative ones added by others. Your choice.
However, no mentioning anyone on CS.
My first offering for a caption is;
Oh my god ! Put some fur on.
Here's the photo of a lemur;
