North Carolina bill 972

Ladies and Gentleman I have come across an interesting article in the news North Carolina bill 972 which allows the heads of police departments either police or sheriff to hold back public information on there body cameras. Now Gov Pat McCrory thinks this is a good idea based on what has happen in Louisiana, Minnesota & in Texas. So with the stroke of pen this new statutes go into effect Oct 1st for part 1 and Dec 1 for part 3 if anyone living in or out of the state of North Carolina would like to read the bill its all there, short reading I've read the bill and I'm still shaking my head as Gov McCrory puts it, its makes the process more transparent in his opinion, now ladies and gents if you read the bill I don't see it makes more transparent, but perhaps I might be missing something. And please don't get me wrong ladies and gents I'm not calling for the killing of anyone, in my must humble opinion all lives matter no matter what ethnic group one belongs to under law nobody is above it one would think. As one reads this bills it would seem to me that it targets the middle class and the poor, so now something that was in the public domain is now something that courts have to decide and ladies and gents either they can show you all of the audio and video or some of it, or part of it, or none of it, now do keep in mind if the heads of the police department or sheriff department says no they won't show it to you, now here's where the problems begin, now you have to take a day off or so from work if its either you or a family member involved, there's a dollar amount attached to this and at the end of the day the courts can still say no, someone out please tell me is that the type of transparency this Governor wants? So this issue has been taken completely out of the people's hands and put in the hands of career politicians, this wasn't even put to a vote by the people. If this Governor is up for re-election this should be a serious issue. And you may asked who sponsored this bill in the first place again if you read the bill these are the sponsors: Repersentatives Faircloth, McNeill, Boles, Hurley these are the primary sponsors of this bill, now the Governor may have signed it, but the people that brought it to assembly bares alot of responsibility for this and again no public hearings or even a right to vote on it. So someone please tell me is this the republic we grow up in or truly has it become a corporation?

conventions

I didn't plan on watching the Republican Convention and probably wont watch the Democratic Convention, I know who I will not be voting for, and I know who I will be voting for. The last night of the Republican affair, I figured I could watch something on the TV that would be entertaining, so I turn the TV on , I am surprised at the number of channels carrying the convention, switching channels I saw Trump for about 5 or 6 seconds hearing him rant and rave and yell - his demeanor reminded me of Hitler's demeanor, and probably I have the same regard for both. After a while I got to thinking what is our country going to end up being, then I started thinking about Presidents we have had.
My highest regard goes to President Roosevelt with all of the problems the U.S. had at that time. Next, I favor Lyndon Johnson. I have visited his grave , out of respect.
I know he was a little ragged around the edges, but he was a good and sincere man, he helped many many extremely poor people, people that other Presidents ignored. He was criticized for wasting our tax money in his concern for the poor. The criticism didn't bother him and he had the answer for the objectors, "If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen". A very profound statement and more should heed his words, which includes some bloggers.

Greedy robbers

Just found out that pension annuities are subject to Pay As You Earn (P.A.Y.E.) tax in the UK.

Errrrrrr, Hello, Mr Government, I’ve just stopped working, so am not earning anything, why therefore do I have to pay tax on my pension?

Ah! Mr honest gullible citizen that has been paying tax all your working life, its because your pension payments were not included in your tax-free wage allowance whilst you were working.

So.... For those of you that work in the UK and earn under the minimum tax band, the government will get their pound of tax flesh by taking a slice of your pension earnings when you retire.

Fortunately, there is a loophole called the “Double Taxation Convention” whereby if you live in a foreign country where you pay tax, you are eligible to reclaim any tax payments made in the UK. Of course, to do this, there are wads of complicated forms to fill out meaning that I have to work in order to claim my refund.

Very taxing!

A simple truth

People moving around ! Immigrant or displaced population I think they call it,
how bad should things be before we accept fleeing people along with the understanding that there will be chaff among the wheat,

This is only one example of a displaced population.

Comment or don't Comment.
Agree or disagree but do try watch the video clip.
Even though it is quite old the problem is far from solved and like the good people it affects, the problem is transient. Industrial power and Corporate greed in their own Self Corrupting Nature, unlike the population of the Earth are not restricted by borders. scold

Common Market? Yes! E.U? No!

The Ideals Of a Common Market, where we can have free and unrestricted movement of people, trade, goods, services and finance was, is and always will be an Ideal we should work towards achieving, Not just in Europe but globally.

When Britain first Joined the EEC, (European Economic Community), That is all it was , A common market. But it changed into something else. The EU, (European Union)
And so started the move from some of the major country's in the EU to to merge Europe in to a single Fedralised European state by pushing forward policies for a single currency, a European Central Bank, formation of a Europeian army and ever closer political union, Hoping that this would end up with the European Parliament as it's legislative house, the European court as the Judaical house, the council of ministers as it's Executive.
In fact if not in name The United States of Europe

This is not what we signed up for.
I don't think that, being a state in a Federalised single European State, or even, having a Federalised single European State, is a good idea at all.

Now don't get me wrong here, when it comes to politics I am on the Left. I'm a good old fashioned British,("From each according to his ability, to each according to his need", nothing wrong with being filthy rich, but it means you have a greater social responsibility to take care of those who can't take care of themselves), Socialist. who believes in democracy, (Not a Marxist,Trotskist,Stalinist, Commie at all).
I am not some foaming at the mouth small brained right wing racist bigot

This is why on the 23 of June I voted to leave the EU.
If it had been just an issue of being a member of a common market I would've voted to remain, But it wasn't so I didn't

I know that leaving the EU will have some short term repercussions. But this will normalise after a few years.

To carry on trading with EU and still have access to the single market we will have to sign up to a similar trade agreement as Norway has with the EU now.
That will mean we will still have to agree to the principles of free movement of people, goods, services and finance across Europe

And now we have to renegotiate out trading terms with the EU
with out all the federalisation plans that go along with being a full member.

In the short term this will be a bit like a messy divorce, with bitter recriminations being thrown around from all sides as we argue over who gets to keep the dog.
Both France and Germany will try and make the terms of our leaving and our new trade agreement with the EU as tough as they possibly can, partly to punish us for leaving, and partly in the hope that this will put off any of the any other country in the EU from thinking about doing what Britain just did.

But it is my belief that in the long term we will be better off being close friends with Europe rather than being married to it
It may take a while for our new relationship with Europe to normalise, But it will eventually.

Message to the UK - Panic!

You really couldn't make this up, nobody would believe you. Just announced front runner for PM of the UK Boris Johnson has pulled out of the race wow seems his running partner, Gove, stabbed him the back at the last minute, on instructions from his wife by email, carefully leaked to the press, the BBC placed this news item below a story about a man killed by a bear in the states, and the death of a 96 old children's writer in there list of headlines wow

Now the only people in the race for the job as PM are second rate politicians, that have been hidden away in jobs where they could do little harm, I doubt if you joined them all together they could come up with one backbone. It's bad enough that the people have to put up with there politicians being rejects that the business world didn't want, I mean would want the salary of a politician if they were any good doh but to have only the choice of has beens & rejects at a time when the country needs strong leadership is to me a disaster moping sigh
